There 130 impeachment requests. The process is the same - I think - as most western democracies, the president of the congress has to start the motion and them it's moved to senate, after that we have defense, voting the trial and the result.
The issue was the former president of senate was from a centrist party that serves the interests of the economical oligarchies and was waiting the chance of the gov't be in dire straits and in their need to extort Ministries. And this round he bought the election for presidency of both congress and senate.
