Todd with the fanservice. =3
-
I do like Bum reviews, kind of like 90's kid, I just wait to see what variation on the same joke he's going to do.
-
Oh Todd, you nutball you. Was anyone esle genuinely creeped out by Todd's warped mind? lol
-
I was more creeped out how much Nash would laugh at any thing Todd said. And I don't mean like chuckle, I mean full on almost joker laugh.
-
I watched the latest Blockbuster Buster because it was Scooby Doo. I used to think Linkara had some bad review "plots", but atleast you can see what's happening when he films. At the end of the review there was some weird fight scene between Buster and some chick. It was filmed dark and impossible to see a thing. Soooo bad.
-
Blockbuster's reviews aren't half bad but his plots are terrible. Just stick to the reviews dammit.
-
At this point Blockbuster Buster frankly just feels superfluous as a reviewer. He's a wannabe.
-
ya i agree. NC can do characters. he's good at it. people should stick with what they're good with. just cause NC does characters doesn't mean you have to do the same thing.
-

Well at least he does something on a regular basis…..and kinda has a shtick. Unlike some other blue haired person who shall go unnamed.
-
who has blue hair?
-
-
Women are from Venus.
And girls are from Mars. -
When the only thing you can remember about someone is that they covered 15 Land Before Time movies and then 15 Don Bluth movie in a row…. but remember nothing at all about the actual reviews or the the reviewer's personality or quirks or insights or clever bits about any of it...
Theme ideas are cool and all, as is completionism. But...

who has blue hair?
MarzGurl. Her ignorance was so bad at one point that Y Ruler of Time and Rollo T made this response video. http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/videolinks/ir/yrt/specials/14650-ep003
It seems she works better talking about American animation than Japanese animation. Her 4Kids retrospective was just….... ill-informed. -

Edit: Hahaha, they could have not said anything but just posted the One Piece opening and it would have been a sufficient reply.
-
i assumed no maam said guy and so excluded mars girl from my thoughts.

From Marzgurl to Grounded. What a perfect bridge.

Yeah, I feel the same. I really liked his Top 10 Hispanic Heroes list. Except when it got punctuated by his "characters."
-

That was my issue too.
Though I loved the Goya Bean commercial, cause it was disturbingly accurate. Goya Black Beans are shit though. Kirby Black Beans are godlike.

SpeedyEric strikes again.
I haven’t watched Babylon 5 when it was on, but I’ve seen it advertised. I’ll agree though that it was a big hit. In an episode of The Drew Carey Show, Ryan Stiles’ character, Lewis (yeah, I know), He went to a Babylon 5 convention in an Ambassador Chicar (sorry if I didn‘t spell it correctly).
I've seen some inanity in my day, but this takes the cake.

My god, Superman's "reasoning" for relocating the gang. Holy shit that was dumb.
-
Apparently Babylon 5 was the one good story JMS had in him. Because they were his own characters and he made the world from scratch. But pretty much all his comic stuff….
How do you get the character of Superman so wrong? Him walking around the country is kind of an interesting idea, but... yeah. Have a press conference first, and don't be an ass to everyone you meet.
-
^I don't know, I rather like JMS' run on Thor…not Simonson level or anything, but I definitely enjoy it better than Fraction's run that follows. His Spider-man run is also quite well regarded, save a few spots (Sins Past/OMD). But yeah, Grounded is just inexcusable, and his run on WW is pointless as well. I really should try out Babylon 5 then...yet another addition to my backlog.
-
My god, Superman's "reasoning" for relocating the gang. Holy shit that was dumb.
Also, setting several houses on fire at once, surely that can't cause innocent people in the neighbouring houses any dammage !
-
That was a pretty good review by Linkara. Definitely one of his better recent episodes (granted I haven't seen his shown in like the last 2 months or so just because I've been busy). Although that said how do you have a comic about Superman walking around the country and NOT HAVE A FORREST GUMP JOKE?
Admittedly I've never really been into comics but having Superman walk around and helping people doesn't sound like a bad idea in theory. Though when you have him act like a dick to reporters and talk someone out of suicide by the dumbest way possible…
-
I consider early ASM, Thor and The Twelve good JMS comics.

Todd reviews 'Strong (What Doesn't Kill You)' by Kelly Clarkson: [http://blip.tv/todds-pop-song-reviews/stronger-what-doesn-t-kill-you-a-pop-song-review-6093489
I](http://blip.tv/todds-pop-song-reviews/stronger-what-doesn-t-kill-you-a-pop-song-review-6093489) don't really have much to say about it other than:
-I completely agree with everything he said about the song, especially how bland it is. And I like Kelly Clarkson.
-The "I've been sober for 100 days now" bit was HILARIOUS.
-Poor Lindsay. =( -
Lindsay's bit made me sad, really sad. I mean I know she tried to ham up the acting but…I believed it. It was the good make-up with the wet eye shadow that drove me over the edge, it made me really sad.
I hope this means the joke is finally dead or at least it's a set-up for the death of the joke at least.
And hey, JesuOtaku cameo:D
-
Bennett the Sage joins the Nostalgia Critic this week for a look at a blatant Star Wars rip-off, here's Starchaser. http://blip.tv/nostalgiacritic/nostalgia-critic-star-chaser-6093534
! Next week is Raiders of the Story Arc: Transformers

Doug does a crossover with Bennett the Sage in which they review Starchaser, the cheesy 80's animated movie that no one ever heard of.

EDIT: Batdan! Fuck!

ooh. i'm not much for the music scene, but the cameos interest me. ok i'm game.
-
Gotta agree with Todd. I really don't like Stronger at all. But I've never been a Kelly Clarkson fan anyway. And Lindsey's scene was rather depressing. But then he put Daft Punk at the end which cheered me up.
-
aw, you guys thought lindsy was serious. so cute.
wow. i'm not interested in music, but todd is good. i actually had fun watching that. -
I must say that was a good make-up job for the part.
I wasn't really paying attention to her anyway. I was too busy admiring this pizza that was just delivered to me. :ninja:

Here's some crossover stuff from Year 4.
Since Benzaie couldn't make it to Chicago this year, fellow Frenchmen Sad Panda had to fill in. Here's his little Chicago vlog. http://blip.tv/nostalgiacritic/a-fake-frog-in-chicago-6080146Brad Jones and Chad Rocco decide to try some old Airheads. I love this candy, but never eat old ones. http://blip.tv/nostalgiacritic/brad-and-chad-tries-final-6089803

Yes, Daft Punk at the end of Todd's review! <3 Todd has confirmed loving Daft Punk. His favorite song (mine too actually) is 'Digital Love'.

wow. i'm not interested in music, but todd is good. i actually had fun watching that.Oh we know it's fake, but they're doing it for their characters. And it's pretty freaking depressing for the character.
However, this could just be them setting up for the crossover, if anything. We know it's pretend, but it's still heartbreaking to watch.

Todd reviews 'Strong (What Doesn't Kill You)' by Kelly Clarkson: http://blip.tv/todds-pop-song-reviews/stronger-what-doesn-t-kill-you-a-pop-song-review-6093489
I've always wanted to watch one of Todd's videos, but somehow I always forgot.
I really enjoyed this one! Thanks for sharing that, I'll definitely watch more of his reviews now. -
Todd is easily one of the best on the site, I'm surprised people haven't gotten around to him yet.
-
Well he's all the way at the bottom of the page, barely above the rifraff no one cares about. Very easy to miss.
-
Speaking of Todd.
@Todd's:
I've never had to put black censor boxes over my episodes. …That changes with this next episode.
Hmm… Curiouser and curiouser.
EDIT: Also, Todd is easily my favorite right next to Lupa and Lindsay.
-
Todd has some really strong episodes, but Iunno sometimes he can harp on the same thing for 15 minutes and gets annoying. Its like he couldn't think of anything else, but decided to make an episode anyways. But I do enjoy his music history lessons!
-
Todd's one of the few who's material I've seen all of along with Doug, Lindsay and almost all of Spoony.
…
Man, I'm really behind in my quest to see all of the notable TGWTG videos.
-
Hmm… maybe Todd is going to review Make It Nasty?
Anyway while I find many of them entertaining, Todd and Oancitizen are the two that I probably appreciate the most. Compared to other reviewers their material seems especially insightful and informative.
-
Looks like the 4th is gonna be a sci-fi adventure. I knew it, it was the next logical step after a fantasy adventure.
Edit: Oh also, don't expect the anniversary to be released till the end of June.

Hey guys, how long's it been since anyone talked about Lost? Well, here's Phelous's thoughts on the Man in Black.
http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/videolinks/teamt/phelous/34950-lost-the-man-in-black-really
Thoughts?
-
I don't feel like listening to someone bitch about how Lost was too complicated and made everything up simply because they didn't pay attention. Every reasonable question was answered before the end, and most of the minutia and bonus specifics are detailed in the extra media. I can even cover most of them in four sentences.
! 1)The island had an unnatural energy source that's been around for centuries that people have discovered over the centuries, at least as far back as the egyptians, gone "hey, there's crazy shit here, Let's build a monument and village to it!"
! 2)In the 70's a team of scientists were the latest in this trend, and are responsible for most of the things in the show, like the bunker, polar bears, etc.
! 3)A stable time loop was involved, so the main cast caused what they did because they always did, which would affect them in the future and then cause them to do what they did, including the numbers, radio signals, nuke, bunker, etc.
! 4)The alternate story in the final season wasn't a "it never happened and they were always dead", it was a "It all happened, then they died and this happened."Not that hard. Not even getting into the "it was about the characters more than the mystery" (because it was) because thats a different debate.
And no one gets credit for calling BS on the Battlestar Galactica ending either.
! Not when they set it up constantly and repeatedly from as early as the first season. Sorry if you don't like religion in your sci-fi, and you think "angels" is an asspull, but it WAS a part of the show the entire time, a major part in fact. Several character had entire arcs based around it!
! Same with LOST really. Once you have a guy that can speak to the dead and get accurate details from them, as a regular main character, the afterlife is totally fair game.
