What are they planning to do with the guns once they acquire them?
I'm having a hard time imagining them shooting Tsukasa
Seriously. Also how many people will Tsukasa have killed by then?

Watch the plan to get guns backfire with Tsukasa stealing the guns and giving some to a possy he decides to form or something.
Wtf, this became stupid, the villain can't go and try to analize the stupid protagonist.
Worst chapter of all, i liked it anyways.
I love adventure manga, wish they would spend more time exploring the land on their journey but I understand rushing it tho
hopefully after Tsukasa is dealt with we get more relaxed adventuring
Loved the religion vs science page with the poker faces.
Things aren't getting less tense. The formula seems to be failing, the girl seemed like regrowed some stone.
Read all 7 chapters today, I really love the art style and the characters but I'm still weighing up the story progression.
Mainly the whole Tsukasa letting them live only to come back later and realise they were actually a possible threat thing.
Tsukasa is fucking genius.
Science chapt, like!
I do like that they explained the lines on their faces. I assumed it was just a style thing. Not a feature resulting from the stone.
They're worried about Tsukasa finding them out
but what if he finds the other survivors first?
if the new characters are old people they might as well start digging their graves
if they're young he might get them to join him
So, I dropped this at chapter 3, has it picked up a pace and gotten better?
Another enjoyable chapter.
The accidental explosion was a good gag and I really liked the dual "I'll be forced to kill him" panel.
It's good that Tsukasa isn't being pegged as a totally heartless and illogical villain, I like his shade of grey.
Pretty cool twist at the end too.

Well, they basically jumped 198.700 years into the future by making gunpowder to kill somebody who destroys all the adult statutes because to him they are not worthy of this new world. And there seems to be other survivors than them now though we haven't seen them yet.
Soon or later this was meant to happen.
Nice chapter!! now, i learned how to fight the power!.
post apocalyptic, stone age setting
wearing heels
a new female character drawn by Boichi, oh boy, I can't wait for another creepy alien to join the cast
post apocalyptic, stone age setting
wearing heels
Post apocalypse or stone age dont matter. Anime/Manga waifus have to look fashionable. That is the law. :ninja: lol
Maybe she's a swamp dwelver? Yeah, this is shit, while Japanese footwear does sometimes include certain elevations, those are on a flat surface, not the clasical heel. I hope that at least gets addressed.
Jaaa, quite boring, but needed.
Definetely worst of all.

Was that a Gundam?
! Press F
! anyway, I think that's a fake out death
! this manga whole gimmick is "science for dummies", why would they kill the science guy?
Daaamn, what a cliffhanger!!
! Yeah Science-guy won't die. He probably took some precautions.
I liked the flashback and i'm actually really liking Science-guy as well! Maybe i should learn his name. XD
Rip, manga is over. Just as expected.
! Senku's dad's sacrifice really touched me. I wish my parents were that accepting and generous.
! Being that blessed with a caring father/family is just moving.
And how did he now do the sound again , i would like to know^^
I find it pretty weird that they didn't show the dad's face.
I thought it was the typical "unimportant manga/anime parents don't need screen time" trope. Like how salarymen dads are always traveling and never seen.
But this was a dude that made Senku's dream possible, this is closer to One Piece's mentors than Deku's faceless dad.
Hinted at character we will see in 400 chapters incoming.
But all he did was pay for Senku's stuff. Which is a very awesome thing to do, but was still a one-note action any parent could have fulfilled if the had the money and will. If he actually taught Senku science and accompanied him besides that one scene, then I would suspect there is something more to his character.
I thought the dolls would fall from space to hit lion-guy's face D:
This was unexpected, liked it.

So, Senkuu is actually dead? I have no idea where this is going after this fight.
I'm having a difficult time imagining how this series would continue without Senkuu. Since we've already had brains, brawn, and endurance, maybe one of the new characters will be a medical genius?
Next Chapter, the woman he saw turns out to be an artificial human made by the Anti-fleshes, Who turned the world to stone after it become too fleshy.
Yeah I'm really hoping Senku isn't dead because Taiju and Yuzuriha are kind of meh/boring on their own, but it's difficult at this point to imagine a non-goofy explanation for how he wouldn't be.
-Anticipated the karate chop to the neck and surgically installed a piece of bubble wrap that would make a convincing popping noise when hit? Also a steel plate under it so his vertebrae wouldn't actually crack?
-Worked out a deal with Shishio behind the scenes to fake-kill him because they were somehow aware of a greater threat out there? All to be revealed in a flashback soon??
-"I've been revived and healed…by the power of stone-age science!!"???
-???? -> Aliens?
The most not bullshit explanation I can think of is one of the three is a medical genius that can heal broken vertebra in the blink of an eye.
…Three? Did the fan translation imply that there are three mystery people out there? It's only one, who intentionally lit three separate smoke signals in direct response to our gang's three gunpowder explosions.
I nearly made that same mistake while translating, actually :P
Well, it's entirely possible that after being mysteriously petrified-yet-alive for 3000 years their human physiology has gone MASSIVE alterations without being visually evident aside from stone-like fractures on their faces, ya know.
I mean
If you want to talk about making sense, that's really the only logical explanation for their survival in the first place.
So in other words, they're mutates no matter what. Just to what extent we don't know.
Incidentally, former WSJ editor-in-chief Sasaki told me today that he has "a good feeling" (I'm paraphrasing) about Dr. Stone's relative success, going forward.
At the very least, we can expect that with such high praise from the head honchos, Inagaki isn't planning to end the series within 20 chapters by killing off each of the main characters in succession.
Senkuu knew that their depetrified state could let them live normally with cracks on their faces. Maybe they are now like golems or something, if they can be put to stay together, they live. Taiju with his "dumb and caring nature" tries to put Senkuu back to normal and it actually works.
I'd prefer if Senkuu didn't know. It gives him humanity that he isn't the ultimate chess master and gives his sacrifice more emotional weight.

Whoops .
I can live with them being more stone than before. Maybe the mysterious high hells girl knows how.

I've been marathoning Bakuman so now I have a wondering at how WSJ staff really is like lol.
As for this. I guess that's good. But man the last couple of chapters made me really lose interest. And this chapter felt extremely short. I'm having a hard time caring what happens to any of the characters.

Sasaki was a lot cheerier on the surface than I was expecting, but bubbling underneath was a clear sense of earnestness and deadly seriousness towards the industry/craft. Definitely an aura of a kingmaker about him.
As for Dr. Stone, I feel like, as with so many series, it'll be better in volume form, since the vs. Tsukasa chapters have been lacking in big developments compared to, say, the first four chapters. There sure hasn't been a ton of world-building yet for a series that is literally about world-building, so I'm expecting more mini timeskips serving as interjections to the bouts of action and panic (vs. villain of the moment).
I'm not really sure about the potential of this series, though the staff probably has more insight into its direction.
Tbh not much keeping me invested in this besides the premise of redeveloping society from scratch. The characters are as flat as anybody's been saying and that isn't helped by how all-powerful they are. It also doesn't help that the one girl in the main cast is the only one without a special ability or anything and so far doesn't seem to be there for more of a reason than adding stakes.
Getting back to the topic of potential, though, I'm not really sure what sort of future the plot has. If they defeat Tsukasa here, then do they just spend the rest of the story dealing with similar or other run of the mill post-apocalyptic threats? If Tsukasa's the main villain, then is that really it? I'm not sure he could really carry the series by himself. They'd probably look into why the petrification occurred in the first place but, I don't know about you, but I find that to be the least interesting aspect of the story, so not too hopeful about that direction.
I really hope the series proves me wrong, since it is fun seeing the problem solving and tech explanations, but I really don't think it's at a point where I'd really trust in its future.

I get that he's a fan of Bleach's Quincy Arc.
I don't care, but if Inagaki puts Tsukasa' strength in the realm about why Senku is not dead, i would be delighted. The bit of shounen to increase the hype is lacking here, and mostly obvious it will be that.
Flashback to the future!
