Am I crazy, or does this set cover less chapters than usual? I feel like this set moves at a crawl content-wise. Voyage three had so much great stuff in it. The next voyage to be super hyped about is voyage six. Five has some great BM stuff, but six is Ishitani & the flashback begins. Whew. Can’t wait.

Btw abt that, I kindve assumed they would’ve just used the version with the fixed outfit colors of dreamin’ on for any future release, but it’s still the original version and yeah it’s really jarring lol.

Yeah I doubt it. They wouldn’t cast a straw hat as a major character like that, even if there was a decent chance the voice wouldn’t stick.
Eps 929-940 dubbed are now up for streaming on FUNimation.
Episode 929 has an audio issue. Audio is only playing through my center speaker.
EDIT - 929, 930, and 931 all have the same audio issue so far.

And dang, I was rationing so hard I bought the set and haven’t watched an episode on it yet. So that was a waste of money, lmao. Two week turnaround is quick! I’ve been crossing my fingers that we’ll get another set next Tuesday.

Well if any one does buy it or if they can, go to Itunes and give the movie a good review cuss idiots are review bombing it just because it's not the subbed....even though it's clearly labeled Dub and Toei said the Sub will be up later.

Basically the movie had to crunch a bit during production, so a lot of retakes for a lot of aspects were done for the Amazon Prime release in Japan and probably the Blu-ray....but the dub release is the theatrical version

Okay but that not why people are bombing it. It's SOLEY due to it being the dub and not the subtitled release.

I was trying to see how if they’d catch up this year if 3 weeks was the regular schedule for the rest of it (they just barely wouldn’t), and I realized I think the reason they’re sticking to 12 episodes per voyage might be that they want to have voyage 9 cut off cleanly at 1000.

I just finished (within the last hour) ep. 940, so this announcement for more episodes Tuesday was perfectly timed.
Yeah my wife and I had a snow day yesterday so we watched most of the set and finished it tonight, she was in tears.

Apple's website lists Toei but not Crunchyroll, so hopefully and the disc will be mastered independently from the VOD release and use the updated version. Particularly if there's an English UHD Blu-ray (FYI, Dragon Ball Super had a standard BD release from Crunchyroll, but a UHD BD is supposedly planned for later in the year).
At current pacing, say, a voyage per month, in August, we hit Episode 1000. We surpass France - their dub will be at 994 in August, and release 15 episodes each home video set. I never thought we would ever pass them!
Always elated to beat the French.
And its even weirder because France was ALSO one of the many places where One Piece had a sucky first dub and it had to be redubbed. But this time it was AB Groupe who did the first bad dub instead of 4kids.
@Luffy_80 Actually, upon further investigation, they're at episode 1045 (which just aired last week and was the end of new episodes for a while).
Curiously, it didn't look like they dubbed the recap episodes that have been sprinkled through Wano. I wonder if we're going to be getting them (could be possible, other countries dubbed them).
