We saw Lola post timeskip, but nevermind that. That girl is a lookalike called Okami-san. Mangastream used "miss" instead of her name.

Good chapter, though. I always love these kind of antics from the Straw Hats. All in all I've been really happy with the series since Dofla was defeated. The Dressrosa epilogue, Zou and now this have all been really great so far. Hope it stays that way.
Question about the translation: Lola look-alike calls Big Mom "Father", but previously it's always been "Mama". Is this a mistake on Mangastream's end or did she really use a different word?

I'm thinking Oda is going for a spin on Alice in Wonderland with some of the ideas he has presented so far with Big Mom, or, more specifically some kind of riff on old Disney cartoons. I say Alice initially because of the marching soldiers with the heart spears and the door with a face like in Alice, but with that said it could be more of a direct reference to all Disney because if you look closely that teapot in-front of Sanji has a face drawn on it which makes me think of Beauty and the Beast. This is all to say laid on top of the candy motif he has shown attached to her crew in the past, which on an aside makes the Firetank Pirates presence seem incredibly out of place (but in a good way).
I wonder if somebody in her crew, or Big Mom herself, has an ability that brings inanimate objects to life? I can only guess this has been discussed before since her ship was introduced years ago, but the added elements like the ones I mentioned above, really help sell that concept. This arc really has my mind racing.

I was thinking about someone with the ability to bring life to inanimate objects too. Maybe that's the person who makes inanimate objects eat fruits too. We always assumed that funkfreed became alive when it ate the Zo Zo no Mi, but what if it first became alive with the power of another fruit and then it ate the Zo Zo no Mi?

There could definitely be an ally among them, but not all of them. At the core, they're corrupted.

But Lola has not changed her hair. We saw her after the time-skip in Water 7 and she had the exact same hairstyle as she had before. So not only are Lola and Okami are at different locations, they have different hairstyles.

Doesn't seem weird to me: "father" is essentially a mafia title in this context, and she's talking to members of his "family", so it makes sense to refer to him by his title.
It's a little like how a mother talking to her children is likely to say something like "your father" rather than call him by his first name.

Shorter doesn't always mean less:
-Vito continues his trend of being ridiculously awesome. His nonchalance is adorable. I always rooted for Tom too, you're not alone, buddy.
-Big Mom's ship, and as such the little soldiers and furniture on the ship being alive is the work of a DF, as expected. And of course, this supports the old idea I've always believed in that the crewmates Big Mom ate when she was introduced were nothing more than gingerbread people like these, or some such.
-You had it coming, Caesar.
-You can actually see Gotti on the third page of the chapter. Guy's got a short temper.
-This girl's appearance (be it Lola or not) sort-of confirms that Lola is one of Linlin's daughters.

Dangit Ramistar, there was a cliffhanger, and now a break as well. I won't forget this.:ninja:
The main thing I'm interested in is the whole thing with the comic strip. There has to be some huge importance with it, because why else would Oda not only have a chapter named after it, but give that much detail. The biggest thing is talking about a guy who walks on water, robot, and seagull. Don't know if that is supposed to be foreshadowing for something, or if they are supposed to represent certain characters. That, or I could be thinking too much about this little aspect.
So we already have the crew meeting up with one of the Vinsmokes, and whether it's the father or one of the brothers is to be seen. It will be interesting to see how this goes down, because you have Pekoms on the Straw Hat ship coming into Big Moms territory after he already basically betrayed Big Mom. Either they somehow get out of this in some way, or I can see them getting captured for a short period of time. Really, for infiltration they wouldn't want to come up in their own ship, because it would give them away.

the chapter length and break are probably due to the Kumamoto earthquake
Oda is from that region, so I can imagine that he would be visiting his friends and loved ones during these times.

Question is: why do the Vinsmokes go after the SH ? It seems they believe that Sanji is still with them, they don't know that BM got him first. So it means it's not an arranged marriage, BM is trying to force an alliance with the Vinsmoke ?

pekoms presented it as an arranged marriage,we have no reason to think it's unilateral..they probably just stumbled into the strawhats on their way to the wedding..we are already in big mom's turf after all.
