@King:
I really doubt a rotation man, who can make his head rotate, would suffer from a broken neck.
He was defeated by Kyros throwing him into a wall. It's not like he lost an arm, so his upper body strength should still be amazing.
And saying that this "whole arc is a mess" doesn't excuse bad arguments. He proved right there that he was way above the level of a regular executive.
Maybe Kyros used Haki when he snapped his neck so his devil fruit didn't kick in, I don't know.
The idea that a character in One Piece died from getting thrown into a wall is even more preposterous, honestly. The upper body strength, especially when you throw someone, relies on more than just chest muscles, biceps and triceps. The core and the positioning of the feet play a big part in that. But you brought it up.
And sometimes, inconsistency in the plot can negate some other arguments, much like it did yours.
Btw, what is the level of a regular executive?
@King:
Oh, it's almost like you're trying to put real physics into this.
A swordsman who uses a sword with one hand will lose more if he loses a leg to stand on and move around with, than if he loses one arm. WHAT KIND OF SORCERY IS THIS?
You wanted to be technical and I was just more technical. You know, beat them with their own weapon and stuff.
@King:
If it's about real life swordsmanship, you also need the other arm for balancing purposes (heck, your life would change as much as if you lost a leg) which means you would also lose in terms of technique and mobility, but this isn't real life, so it shouldn't be hard to excuse unrealistic swordsmanship (flying slashes, swinging swords with your mouth, deflecting cannonballs) as well as an one-legged warrior.
After all, people can't walk in the air by kicking it really hard. Or walk and kick with a broken leg with little problem. Or use their legs to create air slashes. One Piece legs can do some pretty awesome things.
I never said losing an arm doesn't matter for a swordsman, but losing a leg gives a lot more demerits, especially when it comes to balancing. Not to mention moving around.
Btw, I'm not the one who expanded on this. I just said Kyros hasn't given an impressive performance, same as Diamante, and it ended up being a lousy skirmish. I can take one-legged swordsman in OP but when the loss of leg stops having any effect, it starts to become a problem for me. And then he gets shot at the remaining leg, but it doesn't have an effect again? Am I supposed to be thrilled by that kind of creative writing? It's not a lot different from Erza losing all of her senses and winning just because she's Erza.
@King:
It's not even about the fight which I thought was just average (I liked Diamante's attack). It's about how a strong, one-legged warrior in One Piece is so hard to believe for you for some reason.
Kyros defeated two executives, one with very little difficulty too, but apparently instead of acknowledging the character as strong, you think the other characters were inconsistently weak simply because of disbelief.
And I don't even like Kyros that much as he's pretty generic in terms of fighting and personality (Thunder Soldier was much more interesting), but I do think the story did a good job in portraying how strong he was.
But no, it wouldn't be that hard to believe. I had no problem right until this fight. I enjoyed how Kyros took Buffalo by surprise and how he hopped around without anyone being able to stop him. But I expected more in this fight. Because it SHOULD take more to defeat one of top executives. But since said top executive made himself into a bipolar clown unable to give a proper fight, Kyros just couldn't help winning.
It's not simply disbelief, you know. Unless you want to convince me how tough of a fighter Diamante was, how he used some pretty rough combinations of his devil fruit and his fighting ability to kill off Kyros, how he showcased impressive speed and strength, you know, everything a Colliseum genius should be able to do.
I just think the story didn't give neither Kyros nor Diamante justice.

@loneassassin:
I agree with Razh. The idea of a man with one leg beating someone is stupid. In fact, I always found the notion of a man made of rubber absolutely ridiculous.
People usually go with simplified jokes when they can't think of anything better.
