Why was Nami in the flashback?
But I wasn't really a fan of Franky being off-panelled

Ok …what exactly happened? Did Usopp pull a Perona and scared the hell out of Sugar?
to put it simply; Sugar fed Usopp the tatababasco grape, thinking it was poison, and the reaction face was so scary that she passed out in shock.
so technically, yeah he did.
@Buggy's:
Usopp returning to face Trebol and Sugar was his redemption. That was it. Or did you expect him to beat down one of Doflamingo's top officers? Duh…
Much redemption.Such Usopp.Wow.
nice chapter but last page is completely bull shit , i don't like this , all this hype so she would taken down by a facial expression !!
i wasted my time reading all these chapters about usopp and the sop mission , sop my @ss
This was perfect. That's just the way that someone like Usopp could KO Sugar with someone as strong as Trebol around. Usopp, master of scaring little girl to death! What's to complain about. The dude snatched victory from the jaws of defeat.
Hopefully Robin gets to take down Trebol, that'd be nice. People don't seem to get that just because he's a top officer in Don's crew doesn't mean that we need another "top officer" from the SHs to take him down. This isn't a power level thing. Trebol is super strong and can't be touched by normal fighters, and Usopp needs someone to rescue him. The stage is set.
Speaking of hope, I hope Franky can get back up and fight. Knowing his weird abilities, it's not impossible.
More importantly, next chapter things are going to explode! With the toys coming back, this island will go through chaos unlike anything we've seen before. I look forward to seeing whchi fighters appear and where they start fighting.
the fact that the kairoseki is undestructable was one of the main plot point of enies lobby,as it was the reason why they HAD to retrieve all the keys to robin's cuff or otherwise they wouldn't have been able to free her.
also i'm pretty sure somewhere in the manga this fact emerged again.
it's pretty much common knowledge that you can't cut kairoseki in the onepiece world, that's why he told you to read the manga again.
the only one we have seen being able to cut kairoseki is law,but because his power doesn't use strenght to cut things,so it doesn't matter how hard a material is.
I'm gonna play devil's advocate and say that something must be able to cut sea stone, otherwise, how would they make lockable cuffs out of the stuff?
dude wtf he was against 3 of dofla officers and a vice admiral, are you serious?
He was already having trouble when there was only one of them.
I wasnt expecting him to win but at least last longer or take down a few of them.

if it's indestructible how can they made it out of sea stone. okay, I know it's a manga. common knowledge? yeah sure Oda must have told that before in his manga. sorry to bother you, it's weird to me that how can someone say you can't do something unless you've ever tried yourself.
@No:
So hoping this is not a fake out and Sugar really is down, there has been more then enough of this weird ass instant memory-wipe-people-are-too-stupid-to-wonder-how-they-have-kids-without-having-a-husband/partner thing.
Also I really wanna know how this BS works. Like did Scarlet not instantly wonder
1. Why they are at the red flower field waiting for someone
2. How come she has a child and who the father is
3. Why she faked her death at all.The last two are identical for king Riku.
Also why the hell did he not tell Rebecca that he's her father ? I mean, she knows about the toys and I assume she's not as daft to assume she was brought up a stork.
He only told to the dwarfs who he is, and nobody else, and probably to get their support. So what is the problem? Do you all the time tell things that will be hard for other people to believe and that are hard to say?
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
why Kyros had to cut his own feet? why don't he just cut the chain itself? If he's so strong, he should have cut the chain already. why oda why?.
but the funny things is we got law up there. he can provide him with someone's feet, perhaps
Sea Stone was never showed to be cut in One Piece, only in Filler and Movies. Sea Stone is by implication(a lot of implication, but can happen that is not the case) the hardest matter to cut in the World of One Piece, So not even Mihawk his able to cut them, given that he isn't even able to cut diamond.
He was already having trouble when there was only one of them.
I wasnt expecting him to win but at least last longer or take down a few of them.
lol okay okay dude

Just that it's a bit typical for this sort of situation….granted the situation itself isn't exactly typical but you get my point.
And really, I guess I just really dislike this "everyone in the whole world instantly forgets you ever existed" BS, it seems way too OP and awkward.
So you think that Kyros is being hyped to be stronger than any other character we have seen in Kairoseki cuffs, so far? Strong enough to break 'em? You crazy.
I don't say he's stronger than marco or else in kairoseki cuffs. sure, I'm crazy enough to question someone who cut his own feet rather than trying cut the chain itself. I don't even said he must cut the cuff. why don't he just cut the chain which is I don't believe it's made out of sea stone
@Buggy's:
Usopp returning to face Trebol and Sugar was his redemption. That was it. Or did you expect him to beat down one of Doflamingo's top officers? Duh…
While I agree about when Usopp's redemption took place, I perfectly understand why people are complaining.
Just as Usopp is not strong enough to take Trébol or, apparently, Sugar down on his own, he also was not strong enough to defeat Perona but still he managed to do it. He even managed to give Luffy some trouble even though he was nowhere close to his level.
Usopp managed to hold his own in previous fights against stronger opponents (or even win them) through tricks and cunning. His style is not "winning through dumb luck" but "winning by using his arsenal wisely".
But, well, I guess this whole arc is about making Usopp a second come of Buggy, so I am not surprised :S
And I have to say, personally I don't mind the way things ended at all. Actually I thought it was pretty funny but, again, I can see why people are complaining.
Awesome chapter! I'm punching the wall in excitement right now. That ending though… so unexpected. Way to go Oda! Die Sugar!
People are weird. First they argue that OP is about adventure and not fighting, and now suddenly everyone is angry that Usopp won the only way he could have. What + you'd rather he win in a very predictable way and shoot they tatababasco into Sugar's mouth?
I'm fully satisfied with this chapter - I haven't laughed so much in a long time, seeing Usopp's face - flawless victory.
I'm gonna play devil's advocate and say that something must be able to cut sea stone, otherwise, how would they make lockable cuffs out of the stuff?

you can still melt something hard you know?I might not being able to bend steel, but give me a furnace and i might be able to change his shape
or maybe you have to use certain chemicals.
Well, we still need Fujitora's Outlook part II before everything goes bunkers.
Yep. But I think the climax of the arc is starting next week regardless :P
He was already having trouble when there was only one of them.
I wasnt expecting him to win but at least last longer or take down a few of them.
It was still 3 of Diamante's officers + a Vice Admiral at once, I don't see how he could've done anything more.
Too bad we didn't have the chance to see Psycho Toy Hakuba.
Usopp's not getting a solo fight. Nor Robin. Nor Franky. Nor anyone but like … Luffy and Zoro. Resign yourselves to fate T_T
I absolutely lost it on the last page, I'm in public in a quiet area no less. I sounded like an old man laughing after years of just one too many cigarettes b/c I was holding it back so much. The funniest panels of a new chapter in a long time.
Franky's loss made sense to me and was necessary. If he defeated all of them with ease, I would not take Dofla and his crew nor the SHs circumstances in general very seriously. He did amazingly well in the previous chapters, what is their to be upset about? He is absolutely stronger than before.
I said this somewhere else, Oda probably has this problem with drawing women b/c he draws most of them with the intention of having them look attractive, but that isn't his intention with men. And we all have specific preferences in terms of what is considered attractive (that isn't to say I necessarily excuse it). Some might disagree, but I think Shakky, Bonney, and Perona are good examples of an average looking female character who doesn't look like Nami or Robin, and obviously he can draw unique ugly women, so his problem is with the attractive ones. But if he drew all the men in a way that he considered made men handsome, I'm sure he would do the same. Body types is a different story though, b/c in OP there only seem to be 2: hourglass and monster. I mean even Catarina Devon has a great hourglass figure but has a face like a troll.
Finally, really enjoyed the flashback. I started reading the chapter thinking I wouldn't enjoy it as it was going too fast, but I felt really bad for Kyros by the end, so that shows that Oda did it right, at least for me. :)

Technically Usopp did…. we just didn't see it :/ Same with most of Franky's.

If the cuff is made of the stuff, then why stop there?

That's a good point.
I could be wrong here, but hear me out. I've heard that when you're trying to make (very) precise shapes from (very) high performance materials, a mold can only get you part way. Sometimes some sculpting is necessary to get a final product.
Keys, for instance, are typically made by cutting a blank copy which was molded (though this is more because you want to cut lots of different keys that can be cheaply replaced). I'll grant you that locks are probably made mostly from cast metals.
the only thing that make me a bit sad this chapter is the sight of Franky beaten up. Damn, I hope he recovers during the panic and fight Senor and Machvise seriously.

Maybe now that the toys are back, Franky can smash down through the ground and then we'll have the Usopp followers, Trebol, Senor Pink, Machvise, a bunch of Doflamingo grunts and associated pirates, Bastille and his troops and Franky all crashing about in one big area :D Or maybe Franky will stay subdued until Fujitora collapses all the floors down to the underground. Or maybe something less interesting >_>

This is what happens when you have 9 main characters. Oda could try a 2 or 3v1 fight, but that might mean getting out of the generic 1v1 with every SH fighting someone which their skills perfectly complement.
How will Kyros fight after getting back to normal? :wassat:
He only has one leg… and I think that he cannot fly or run with ONE leg!
@Portgas-D-Ace:
Hmm, I'd like some clarifications on that as well.
after Doflamingo became king maybe he made this public

Pffft, that doesn't really matter. It just needs to somehow make an interesting fight … see Nami vs Miss Doublefinger for example ...
And there are only 5 SHs on the island.
But this arc's already kind of long.
It is also awesome that Ussop pulled up a 100t hammer trick off-panel (the remnants of the baloon can be seen on the first panel that shows Ussop and Sugar). And, Kyros really did cutoff his legs, hopefully Law will fix him.
oh my god Kyros is like the most adorable person ever
him crying at his daughter's birth and only wearing gloves when touches her
you know for such a quick flashback this actually made me really feel for Kyros
prior to this I'd felt absolutely nothing for the people of Dressrosa, but this was really great
Kyros I love you.
And it's ttly not because you resemble Law in a way or anything especially with your hood and all…
DEM FEELS BRUH.
And Usopp. Magnifico.
I have to admit, I'm disappointed with how things turned out myself, this coming from one of the few people who liked the Mermaid Island arc. I was hoping Usopp would have defeated that guy with his brains and
new attacks, comical defeat in this type of arc makes me sad
To gain more followers that way makes me even more sad
Franky's fight off screen, I really wanted to see what happened.
While the flashback was good and all I would have rather spent more time seeing the Strawhat's fight. Can't Oda go back to what he did with Vivi and not have so many people in one arc?
Oh we'll, an ok chapter. Is this arc already almost finished? Holy cow that was fast.
I hope we see Zoro V.S Pica, I'm also starting to wonder if Dof will be defeated this arc now too?
This ending was brilliant, honestly couldn't have been predicted and actually plausible. Definitely prefered to Usopp winning through grit and determination.
I'm glad the flashback wrapped up quite quickly, about a chapter long. Kyros is a badass and a good natured person, the way that he sacrificed his leg without any hesitation was amazing and we also get an answer as to why he was without one leg as a toy. "With these tin arms… I can't even fell the warmth of your dieing body" truly horrific what happened to the Royal family, but especially to Kyros who witnessed and remembers it all, but has been completely forgotten.
I was also glad to see that Oda took the time to address the thoughts of the characters transformed into toys, particularly Cavendish who held a grudge towards the Straw Hat's. They're completely aware of their situation and that they would potentially be made to work as a slave in toy form for the rest of their lives, possibly even beyond that considering that, just as Sugar doesn't appear to age that would also extend to her toys. You would of course instantly be indebted to your saviour(s)
I thought it was quite funny to see Usopp quickly disposed of, off-panel. We all knew he was no match for Trebol, let alone Trebol and Sugar. I remember some people were angry that the fight was abandoned to enter a flashback, but now it all flows, there was no point in using up a chapter, or several, when a single panel would suffice.
I laughed at so hard at that last page, Usopp will actually get the credit in the most ridiculous fashion.
I don't mind strokes of luck…but that last chapter was way over the top.
Usopp "won" by being pathetic, and, as many people expected, Sugar goes down without ever being hurt. Too bad, Oda still doesn't have the balls to leave a female character looking like Franky did in this chapter. No idea why!
Still, the flashback was interesting and I can't complain about the way things have been set up to move forward from this point.
Who wants to see the entire Dressrosa turns into a battlefield like the World War II? I Dooooooooooo!
It's official, Cavendish will be the next Mugiwara.
So the one that wounded Kyros in the Colosseum is none other than King Riku. Haha. Die Sugar!
I liked the Kyros flashback even though it was bit rushed. And Franky getting beaten made sense especially since even Dellinger was there. It was too much for him and I don't mind it wasn't shown.
On the one hand the double spread by itself if pretty great. It's that sort of silliness I love from One Piece.
On the other hand it renders the 3 chapters of Usopp character buildup completely fuckin' useless.
I don't mind strokes of luck…but that last chapter was way over the top.
Couldn't agree with you more.
i'm a little bummed that all of franky and usopp's fighting got offscreened but
i'm sorry that last page made me laugh harder than anything I've ever seen in this series
I had to stare at the right half of the page for a good 5 seconds before realizing what the fuck I was even looking at
10/10 Oda
I guess I am the only one who enjoyed the last page, but didn't laughed. My reaction was just WTF is that?
I am curious how did they put those chains on Kyros's left leg.
love story ….
..................
Woah Woah Woah Wait!
Is Sabo making Burguess destroy the colosseum on purpose?!
Kyros would be dam.stupid to attack don flamingo or he just gonna get fodderized by DD.
Franky was taking on Dellinger, Machvice, Pink, plus all those marines. I'd say he did a pretty good job holding out for as long as he did. Also i'm thouroughly satisfied witht he conclusion to operation SOP and glad it wasn't done off screen so it's not something we have to go back to. Next chapter is going to be nuts.
I guess I am the only one who enjoyed the last page, but didn't laughed. My reaction was just WTF is that?
I also have the same reaction… but I did laugh at that page. Laughing over the relief that Sugar is done.
I haven't gone through the whole thread to see who else is mentioned this yet but if Violet was 16 in 728 then Kyros really did impregnate a 16 year old, that sly sonuvabitch.
