1: And the supposed "Saga of Olympus" ? Is that the new sequel ? About the art…I really enjoyed his art in Hades. If it´s worst I will be sad.
It's Next Dimension, that provides an explanation for what happened to Seiya after Hades, but it's mostly a weak rehash of the original with new twists. They're going through the Twelve Temples AGAIN.
And yeah, the clothes are not as detailed, and the anatomy looks like his early works.
What do you mean ?
! Lost Canvas was the holy war before the original storyline (Shion and Doku).
! Episode G, was after the murder of Aiolos by Shura.
! And the worst, Omega is in the future.
About the rest…Yeah, I didn´t liked Lost Canvas (even with a part that everyone wanted to know). My major reason was the art, as you said, generic.
Episode G is indeed good. Messy art but a good plot
I mean that, even if they're supposed to fit the timeline (although many things don't make sense if that's the case), they were not done by Kurumada, so they're not considered canon…anyway, LC and G are prequels focusing on different characters, so reading the original Saint Seiya isn't necessary. G in particular gives a very different feeling from everything else, it almost looks like it's set in a different world.
Omega is actually the spin-off that is more strongly connected to the original series, which is not surprising being a sequel. Although i admit that being unfamiliar with the original probably makes all these series less appealing.
EDIT: oh ,there's another spin-off manga now, Saintia Sho. The main character is a female Equuleus Saint and somehow it takes place between the old Sanctuary and Poseidon arcs, which makes it the most absurd spin-off timeline-wise so far. And Athena is a high schooler.
