Hmmm…
!
But really, that character looks awesome.
This manga looks amazing. It's ridiculously unique, funny for it's ludicrousness and yet still seems to have a somewhat serious underlying tone. Can't wait to continue.
This is so weird… I like it.
Ha. Brilliant. Ridiculous, unique and a great read.
My only wonder and problem is…how long can it be stretched?
Deliciously creative and unique premise. Matsui Yusei can do no wrong. He is truly a gem among mangaka.
I mean the main character is an invincible high-tier tentacle blob monster? Can you imagine any other mangaka having the balls to do this? My only disappointment is that Nagisa is a boy. Not that I have any problems with male characters but I'm so used to the mangaka having female side-characters and more importantly, I thought she was a girl until half-way through when they referred to the character with a "he" and then I did a double take. Though this series is clearly about breaking the traditional format and trying new things and not conforming to standards and I commend the author greatly for his innovation. Loving this series so far.
That was really good but was i the only one who thought that Nagisa kid was a girl until halfway through where they referred to him as a guy. Those pigtails in his hair really don't help
I somehow doubt that the character's gender will ever be important,
so I'm pretty content in seeing them as a "kid" rather than a "boy" or a "girl".
Did anyone else get chills on page 47?
Oh that was a really nice chapter!
Strange, but really nice!
This is amazing. And Nagisa is really a boy? Okay.
Ha. Brilliant. Ridiculous, unique and a great read.
My only wonder and problem is…how long can it be stretched?
I guess the best bet will be having the class pass through the school-life stuff, like school trips, becoming the best class of their grade and revealing the mystery about that woman and Koro in page 47. Those things can stretch it a "lot", but maybe they can be dissapointing.
This was great. It was hilarious, and incredibly unique. I look forward to seeing more of this stuff
That monster dude is like an internet meme-face brought to life!
I wonder how long Korosensei will remain even minutely antagonistic…
That was actually pretty amusing. I saw the thumbnail for it yesterday and passed it over…cause...well it has a tencale monster on it. But this is turning out to be interesting.
That was probably the exact opposite of what I was expecting when I first saw the title for this.
Pleasently suprised, and also glad to see I wasn't the only person who thought Nagisa was female for half the chapter.
I refuse to believe that is a boy.
Other than that, I love this series already.
This is so good holy shit
Have you read Neuro, Beast? Because if you can't wait for the next chapter, you can check that manga out which is by the same author. It's just as creative with a dark mystery theme, a lot of hilarious gorey murders and a lot of emotional depth. It also has the best protagonist, the best villain and the best climax…ever.
I should reread Neuro one these days, shit was so good.
Gonna have to go with everyone here, unexpected and awesome. Might be the only series besides OP i bother to read every week these days. I can see how people thought Nagisa was as girl as I did too, but the full spread revealing it was a he, he kind of seemed masculine. Just those damn pigtail things -_-
I do wonder where it'll go from here.. the school life route, or more focus on them learning to be assassins?
Oh man does Matsui not disappoint. He writes incredibly interesting premises and characters. It's hard to tell how long this story can last, but it will definitely be a fun ride. Hooked from the first chapter I am.
Very enjoyable. I look forward to seeing how the story can build itself and keep me interested.
I liked it. Just disappointed about the main character being a male.
Does it really matter what gender the main character is? Matsui's last protagonist was female, so this is a change for him.
It doesn't matter, really. The series is going to be fun either way.
But I thought he was she until half of the chapter.
Haven't read Neuro so I don't really know what to expect. The premise's kind of weird but I think it could be a pretty good manga, as long as it's not dragged out. I thought it fell a little flat, the author tried too hard to be funny, but it wasn't bad by any means. Liked it a lot better than Bulge at least.
Koro says it was born on Earth, wonder what's up with that
Well, that was wierd. Not sure what to think of this, definitely bizarre, I can see it be one of those shorter series, if it's dragged out, it could get annoying.
Koro is definitely the highlight. So.. wierd.
Koro says it was born on Earth, wonder what's up with that
Well there's that scene where you see him I'm guessing with a vaguely human head. So maybe he changed over time into what he is now. Like he was originally human. I do like he idea of the moon the way it is. Even though it involves the moon…lol.
I got the "Nagisa is a girl" vibe too. Is it 100% certain that he's a dude (like does he use "boku" or what)?
This manga is so creamy delicious I love it. More please.
It's been forever since I've been this hooked on a manga from the first chapter.
Awesome concept and premise, I will be following this series. Funny enough I never read this authors previous work.
Then what are you waiting for? It's only one of the most brilliant shonen jump titles ever made.
I liked it, I liked it a lot.
It really doesn't help that his name is "Nagisa", which is a unisex name, but usually used for girls.
When he hugged Koro-sensei with that traplicios seductive smile, I realized what next Winter Comiket (hell maybe even the upcoming Summer one) will have. Lots of. With tentacles. Naturally.
Hell, he's cuter than vast majority of Jump manga heroines.
Does it really matter what gender the main character is?
It matters only as far as "which fantasy should I fap to" goes, Wagomu.

And that was allllllllllright by me
Read chapter 1 and it was hillarious. Great concept, and though I don't see this intending to be a very long running manga since it has a fairly clear ending. I love the design of the teacher, can't say the same about the main character but that won't stop me from reading the next chapter.
Only released a few days ago and there's already 6 pages of fanart on Pixiv.
Dang fandom, you move fast.
Indeed. Someone already made a figure too.
I hope this means good things for this series.
This is the first series I will follow from chapter 1 so I hope I don't get sad in future.
Neuro was pretty good all the way through, so you don't need to worry too much.
This series is definitely off to a good start. I'll be keeping my eye on it…
Also, Nagisa wasn't trap-ish at all, at least not to me. He had a masculine face, despite the pigtails.
Oh god. New York Junkies sounds rather… inappropriate.
Doesn't help that Nagisa had the same name and appearance as that girl from Pretty Cure -_-
Lol one of those pieces of fanart has the panel of BLEACH with Renji going "So how are we supposed to fight him!?"
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
You'd think the fanart would be mostly of Koro, but there seems to be a lot of Nagisa fanart, too
Easily best new manga in Jack since, what, Double Arts? This is even more than classical Matsui - which is surprising at this point. I wonder if this would get serialized in Sasaki's magazine. So far 2012 have been a not too bad of a year for Jack and Heishi should get the deserved credit.
The manga itself is hilariously delicious. The overpowered Korosensei is a little marvel in itself. This could easily have been a character driven gag series, but it seems a developing plot is in place as well. It does seem that the teacher was human at some point - but it can go quite a lot of ways from there. And damn if I don't look forward to it.
Also, chapter 2 raw is up at Mangateers. But, since Utopia has picked this series up, you can calmly wait for the scanlation.
Already? Daaang.
After reading the first two chapters, several people have noticed that the names of the characters are loosely based on the 47 samurai of Chuushingura.
It's a non-fictional story about 47 loyal samurai assassins.
Their master was sentenced to death by seppuku for attacking an official. The 47 samurai did not accept the ruling, and banded to assassinate the official. After their successful assassination, they all were sentenced to kill themselves like their master.

That's quite interesting; cool info.
For conveniences sake, some people are shortening the name "Assassination Classroom".
Know what they're shortening it to?
Assclass.
It could be worse, they could've gone with "Assroom."
Also, has the second chapter been scanlated?
