I really despise anime-only endings. Just look at Soul Eater's anime ending, the fist of courage was one of the worst things I've ever seen. I even found the manga ending better even though that one wasn't that good either. Another good example would be Black Cat, Ao no Exorcist and Toriko. I would be better if they would create an adaptation faithful to the manga.

Kuroshistuji(Black Bulter) is prime example of how anime can divert and screw up so bad its not eanythign like the manga.
Heck after the Jack the Ripper arc of Season I is just filler crap and season II? The entire thing was a filler … never mind that the main character, Ciel, was suppose to have died by having his soul taken at end of season I. Frankly, the seasons do not connect and should be considered different versions of the story, not continuation of each other X__X.
Here's hoping they stay true to the manga in Season III which, if we go by the first episode, totally disregards the previous two seasons. Some may say an exception to that is Yu Yu Hakusho. Many comment on how Togashi ended the series and left some things.
got tired of editors of Shonen Jump was telling him how to write the last arc such as writing Kuwabara out of it, despite the previous arc was heavily featured on him and his powerup. Fed up, Togashi ended YYH quickly.
I remember the discussions on how the anime's last episode answered several issues from the manga. Its been too long for me to remember what those issues was, I just remember a lot fans discussion them and how they liked the anime's ending better than the manga. -
There's one aspect where I'd rather the anime adaptation not be ultra-faithful. Inner monolouging about obvious stuff.
Like, "I'm gonna do the roundhouse kick!"
In manga panels, less visual information is being conveyed so that kind of thing might be necessary to fully understand what happens, especially since not every mangaka is action virtuoso capable of drawing great, easy to follow action, but in motion, everything is absolutely obvious, so that stuff is superfluous at best. Also, in manga, you can read this stuff at any pace and more easily buy that those were the characters thoughts at fraction of a second, but in anime it has to be voice-acted and it slows things down and is awkward as hell.
Despite the close association manga and anime have, at the end of the day, comics and animation are two seperate mediums and that should be taken into account when making the transition.

-Wounds doesn't exist, nothing ever gets swollen up and the only thing what ever happens is #### texture on character skins.
-Dripping blood from mouth, but teeth are still pure white.
-Pain doesn't exist in manga. -
In any fictional media that deals with elemental powers really, but when Earth is not the strongest.
Because Earth realistically, should, and always will be the strongest. It shocks me how there is always a way around this, or it is outright not explained, like in ALA (like how the fuck does the fire nation take over the earth kingdom? It's fucking fire against earth).
I also hate when masculinity and physique has no effect on strength. Hate to say it, but One Piece is absolutely notorious for this, where the small scrawny ones are usually the most uber powerful beings in the manga, Whitebeard being the exception. This is where Mahouka Koukou no Retoussei gets cool points, where the big buff guy is acknowledged for his body size.

Elaborate on this juan?

The Fire nation pretty much doesn't ever take over the earth kingdom until the end of season 2? The way they managed to stand a chance was that the fire nation was wayyyy more technologically advanced than the other nations with the overall greatest mobility for such a conquest. Their naval ships were way ahead of even the water tribes' stuff, and the earth kingdom was pretty much sheltered in terms of its leadership by the time aang was unfrozen thanks to the Dai Li and the grand secretariat.
Plus it helps that you can conjure fire out of nowhere, too, so you don't have to have your element necessarily around you, which is how the fire nation subdued earthbenders.

Ooh, now that you explained that it makes sense. I only watched part of book 3 and it was mentioned that they were taken over by the Fire Nation and I was just so lost at how that happened I am laughing.

Earth kingdom was the largest country. Well if it helps, Luffy is more muscular than he looks.

I hate when someone in anime says something surprising and the other character let's out a small, unnatural gasp that sounds like something no human would ever do. Also hate when animes try to capture everything identical to the manga, it looks clunky, unsophisticated and horrible, with DBZ mastering this in terms of absolutely shitness.

EHHHHHHHH!?

Eh .

Another thing I can't stand.
The "swing your Japanese katana around, then slowly sheath it only to have everyone die or get cut the moment they finish sheathing the sword."
It was cool the first three times, not the remaining twenty five hundred.
Pretty sure that comes from this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iaijutsu

When characters supposedly speak in other languages for whatever reason, but can't get even the most basic gramatic right. Worse if they are a main character and it's Spanish, since it's my main language. Like for example, I hate Robin's "gigantesco mano" which should be "mano gigantesca". And everything in Bleach sounds so stupid, full of English, Spanish and German nonsense (of course, Bleach is a terrible manga, but sadly a popular one).
-
EHHHHHHHH!?
That was also pretty damn annoying, but I was thinking of more specifically is the sound they make @ 2:47

Ooooh. That weird choking surprised sound. Yeah that drives me nuts too.
The other thing that I feel is in that category is the character just saying another character's name but then not saying anything after. Especially if it wasn't even calling their name to catch the other person's attention. It typically follows looking sadly at the back of someone's head while standing right next to them or from a distance in the audience.

Hahaha, yeah and it's even more awful when somebody says that in a response to something dramatic. More or less plays out like this:
Guy X and Guy Y has a conversation about something. Suddenly, guy Z comes in and says "dude! We're out of pizza" and Y just says Guy Z's name for no reason at all. When was the last time anyone conversed like that IRL?
-
I think the only time I've ever seen that happen is when the person completely forgets what they were gonna say.

Hmm. For some reason i like this. No idea why, I guess it's just a preference thing.

Care to elaborate? Personally, I think water is stronger (my reasoning being that it's EVERYWHERE, it's nearly incompressible, and that it's got way more fluidity than earth).
On the subject of elements, I'm sick of seeing shows that deal with them completely ignoring clouds when they're using their water powers. A regular cumulus cloud weighs like a million pounds. If you condense it into a water pillar with a small enough area and smash an enemy with it, you could easily crush them so hard that they would barely be a smudge on the ground when you're done.

I think that's just one of those culture difference between us and Japan. I remember reading once about how in Pacific Rim, Mako going "Sensei, aishiteimasu" before Pentacost died would be weird in Japan, and that if she had just said "Sensei…" she would've gotten the same point across.

The clouds in anime worlds aren't made of water.

Same here, I've thought so ever since this quote from Doctor Who.
Water always wins. (Or at least, it should)

I am also getting sick off young men in manga who can't function like ordinary boys in terms of sexuality. Can't we just have one guy, once, who can admit that women look good, without necessarily wanting to marry them, who can have flings with different females, without anything serious developing and not behave like a total dick if he would wanna pick somebody up? You know, like how teenage boys behave in real life.
