Theres no confirmation that Ceasar beat Luffy with poison. Since Ceasar is a gas man, its possible that he just made a ton of nitrogen, or carbon monoxide or something that would displace all the oxygen around Luffy, suffocating him.
I do find it difficult to believe that characters like Igaram, Pell, Pagaya, and Wiper survived…
But you can just as easily pretend they died,
it's not like they play a part later in the series, besides reacting to bounties and appearing on covers.
The only character that should have died in that list is Pell. The sacrifice he made was rendered pretty useless by bringing him back.
Igaram was saved by Robin I believe. She picked him up and then blew up the ship.
Pagaya probably should have died as well, but it's believable that he quickly got out of the way somehow, but it wasn't as important as the Pell sacrifice.
And as for Wiper, all I can remember him doing is using the reject dial twice, but he was able to withstand the impact to his body due to being so strong.
I'm not able to just pretend a character died though. I'd just be lying to myself.
I don't know if someone brought this up already but…
http://www.mangareader.net/one-piece/666/7
Bottom left, Law says CC is nasty and reminds him of SOMEONE. I'm conviced this someone is the same person as the silouette at the end of this chapter. Moreover, I think Law suffered a situation very similar to those kid's, I mean, someone experimented on him, and that person can be… Vegapunk. I don't think it's Joker because Law woldn't be that surprised as he knows he's involved. It can't be Doflamingo neither, because the legs and the body position don't match.
However, it could be another character, but IMO, he's one we already know or closely related to someone we already know.
So what I gather from Hinscher's long ass posts is that he expects PROTAGONISTS to die?
each chapter in manga seems to end in seemingly a cliffhanger.
And do I want them to steamroll the enemies? no, just annoyed with the cliche start up for every arc in every manga ever written. The main cast arrives, gets curbstomped by the enemy, cliffhanger of "OMG are they dead" week after week, then finally they start to fight back.
First we have Zoro and crew supposedly dead from attack, then we have smoker seemingly die, now luffy taken down. I'm sure there were others. Heck half the crew got taken out by gas to start the arc. I'm just bored with it right now. Want to rush through this stupid "OMG he got beat" part and just get to the retaliation part. Its just too annoying and cliche. I mean how many times does the main cast have be unconscious and the enemies NOT kill them. I mean just take a freaking knife and slit their throats while they are down. BUT NO, they don't. Its an annoying as hell thing that manga can't seem to get past for beginning arcs. I hate it when they constnatly leave hte hero's in a state where they could be killed by a 2 year old yet the bad guys don't kill them. Either kill a hero or have the defeat be a situation where the heroes where not within throat slitting range. Whether its they dissapear in the depths of the ocean, covered by an avalanche, fell off a cliff, ect. But I hate how they would be say laying in the enmies footprints or laying next to the bad guy, or thrown in jail, ect. These super evil bad guys sure are nice and just let unconcious people live.
There are better ways to showcase a villians powers and strength than to have him kick the heroes ass in the beginning arc and yet let them just live while unconscious.
Its like how half the arcs in any manga are a RESCUE arc. WHY THE HELL ARE THERE RESCUE ARCS. Why are these super villaisn bent on killing everyone and ruling the world so keen on holding one person hostage.
The chapter was great until Luffy went down defeated. Just like the chapters where the other strawhats were "presumably dead" If this were fairy tail, it would be like a great chapter and Jeral showing up last page. No matter how good chapter was, he somehow ruins it all. Thats what these stupid "cliche defeats" do to chapters. We know the heroes win in the end, we know the villian will for some unknown reason NOT kill Luffy. So its just annoying. In this case there are other strawhats around that could save LUffy, so it might not be that bad, but there have been plenty of situations that there is no reason the person should still be alive.
I find it interesting that Oda kills nobody for the entire series, and when we finally see character deaths, they're protagonists. Most mangaka would have killed the arc villains for real, and then brought Ace back with bullshit plot twists. But Oda does the exact opposite, and keeps the arc villains alive to re-use at a later date, while killing off the person who is most important to Luffy for character development purposes. In retrospect, I think Oda made the wiser choice.
I had a moment where I was like 'holy shit important shit!' then I realized it was a transltion problem and it turns out wht I thought was important was bs < u >

I can barely contain these feels and must keep expressing that because if I contain my feels about my feels then my feels will start feeling feels and then I will explode from all these feels and the feels feels and the feels feels feels… and so on so forth.

nonono not that at all was from 669 this error XD
cause when it was just the raw and someone was translating it I swear someone said something flew out and everyone was like 'Monet Monet~?!' butyeah turned out to be a shizzle and was just Robin being the glorious handywoman she is.
hurp
cause I was gonna say if it WAS Monet then that can't be right cause she's indoors which would imply that there are more 'harpies' and that Law probably made her a 'harpy' < u >
nevermiiiiind~

More harpies? No.
Monet Pacifistas? Yes.
So what I gather from Hinscher's long ass posts is that he expects PROTAGONISTS to die?
lol.. its Hinscher.. what did you expect? he just butthurt because some people here in AP always criticize Fairy Tail..
I don't think I could decribe my reaction to that post with a better gif than that.
Good form.

Monet Pacifistas? Yes.
I immediatly pictured Kuma as a harpy wearing Monet's "Happy" shirt and trousers…Is that weird?

Fairy Tail is worse than Bleach, and Bleach is just …I'm looking for a word worse than terrible...
So basically you're trying to tell me it's a two week break without making me eat my brain in despair at how long I must wait?
oh well, by the time it's out I'll be out of college . u .
we break up next week ftw <3

i really didn't notice that at the moment.
well strange, really… considering that she didn't have any immobilities problem, nerve gas, whatever.
why flying.? why body of bird.? And the bird must be a huge one..
that was sleeping gas that affected luffy?Or that Gas that makes you like a drunk dude? From what i think Ceasar Makes experiments with his ability…Mahhh we will see in the next chapter....Ah...that waiting....
@nodensuke:
Fairy Tail is worse than Bleach
Ahahaha good one
I am feeling like this person in the shadows, standing in front of Trafalger Law, is the person who Monet is actually in league with. So far, it is assumed that Monet is working for Caesar Clown, but we do not yet know what their relationship is or how strong it is. The next question in my head after this new character's reveal is, "Does Caesar Clown know that this mystery character is on the island?" Is this person really Joker? If it's joker, then it seems that CC may also be having the wool pulled over his eyes right on his own turf. If this mystery character turns out to be Doctor Vega Punk, who I'm inclined to think it is at this point, then Caesar Clown is definitely being double crossed by Monet, who would then turn out to be secretly working for Dr. Vegapunk as a means to keep a watchful eye out on Caesar Clown. Or this could be someone other that Dr. Vegapunk and Monet is still in cahoots with him for other reasons.
@nodensuke:

How about "awful"?

How, lets have common sense. NOTHING is worse than bleach. Fairy Tail has its ups and downs, and sometimes it gets rather low, but bleach is always in the bottom.
About Monet, she seems to me like the kind of person who just does what she wants, not giving a fuck. Kind of like a smart, female version of Luffy.
She was like, flying is so cool. Hey, Law, can you get me some wings, since you are at it.
If I had to guess, I'd say she's stronger than CC, and is really just passing time on that island, or maybe undercover, but not really giving a fuck about the mission.
But maybe I'm completly wrong and she's Lucci serious about her scouting jobs, and that's why she abdicated her legs and arms for the ability to fly. Some kind of crazy shit like that. And the Happy go lucky, flirty attitude is just a farce…
Either way, her character is really interesting. I think I'm voting for her in that character tournament thingy.
At least One Piece just left one of its largest lows…cough Fishman Island story arc cough hack

Even Fishman Island wasn't as bad as some of the stuff in Bleach. I think it had some merits, like the flashback, action and mainly the last 10 or so chapters. There's also a lot of necessary foreshadowing sprinkled throughout, overall okay, I guess.
Argh, breaks are so frustrating with crazy cliffhangers like these and this week isn't even over yet.

Yeah… Bleach is very 'meh' to me personally. I only love One Piece and like Fairy Tail when it comes to shonen, though, I haven't read/seen many. (I've read/seen: Bleach, Naruto, One Piece, Fairy Tail, and D. Gray-man).
It's pretty obvious that the guy at the end is Vegapunk. That shouldn't even be a question:
http://www.mangahere.com/manga/one_piece/v50/c485/10.html
And
http://www.mangahere.com/manga/one_piece/v60/c671/16.html
Vegapunk has already been shown to be a very tall man, and he somewhat matches the figure in this chapter. The only other person I can foresee this being is Kuzan, but then he wouldn't have said that several years have passed since they last saw each other, since it has only been 2. He does have the same shoes and posture as Kuzan, though.
Does anybody else feel that Vegapunk will be a villain?
@The:

Slightly…
Can imagine him being kinda neutral, yknow?

He's not totally evil. He did improve the living conditions of his home island. Plus, he allowed Kuma to program in a set of final instructions of his choosing. So he at least is somewhat compromising. I can imagine him being pretty unethical when it comes to science, though, as he seemed to have no regard to removing animal and human's organic components and replacing them.

I think Naruto, Bleach and Fairy Tail are all 'meh', I really don't like big chunks of those series, but I understand why they can be successful and popular.
I actually feel like Vegapunk will be neutral or good natured because Ceasar considers him a rival.

This.
I think Oda wants us to believe that he is evil (with CC being a villain and former assistant of him), but I think he will be somewhat neutral, probably only working with the WG to finance his research, or get his hands on rare materials. He at least has some sense of honor, since he kept his deal with Kuma.
Other thing, do you guys think that Smoker will get his body back now that Law is down? It wouldn't be the first time that the effect of a paramecia is cancelled because the user is beaten / unconscious (Decken, Robin, Moriah, just on top of my head).
We know that the victims must be close to another, and Tashigi and Smoker are close enough. Could lead to some interesting Logia VS Logia battle - because none of the others can actually harm CC. Unless Robin tricks him into doing something dumb or Franky shows some proper seastone gear / barrel:ninja:

crowd watching the TV: It's that guy that rampaged in Shabondy park a few days ago!!
Multiple Bertholomew Kuma….!! There's way more than that time... around 20 or more!!
reporter: HQ!! HQ!! It's a huge news!!
Pirate: Is that one over there the real one!?
pirate: I've heard rumors.. that Dr Vegapunk is developing a "Human weapon", and have been sending prototypes into missions!!
But why do they all look like Kuma!?

What's your idea, then?
The official One Piece wiki, page for Pacifista states:
"All the Pacifista replicas seen thus far have been identical in appearance to Bartholomew Kuma, even in his uncommon body proportion. The only distinguishing features between them and the genuine article are the lack of a Bible and Kuma's Nikyu Nikyu no Mi palm pads, though the latter is not initially apparent as they all wear similar gloves. The Pacifista are built from human corpses, except for the original Kuma, who was gradually converted into a Pacifista. The Pacifista have the voice of Kuma, furthering their genuine replication to him. They all have no memories of their past lives and are under complete control of the World Government."
Kuma = prototype Pacifista, hence PX-0.
And, I'm pretty sure it says the same thing in a databook somewhere.

Believe what you want to believe, and I'll believe what I want to believe; because akagami's 'evidence' really doesn't prove anything to me, other than Vegapunk sending out prototype "Human" weaponry.

So facts may now be interpreted however one would like to? Despite being proven wrong you insist on your 'theory' which is completely wrong? Sure keep going. :]
Whatever. I'll continue to believe what I'm believing, and you guys can continue to believe what you want to believe. Nowhere does it say that Pacifistas are NOT human corpses, just that the ones Vegapunk sent out our prototypes for his "Human weapon" project.
Also, if they AREN'T made out of at least some 'human matter', like some are seemingly suggesting, why do they bleed blood when they take damage?
@The:

By that logic, then, you could believe that they were made out of bird corpses, or seastone, or Silly Putty or fruit smoothies because nowhere does it say they aren't.

Not when cyborg basically means human/robot hybrid–both human and robotic makeup--and a Pacifista is said to be a cyborg. They bleed blood afterall when damaged, it doesn't leak oil.

Kuma said that he himself (not all Pacifistas) was a cyborg. We have only marginal information about the other Pacifistas, except for the fact that the one Drake fought at Sabaody appeared to bleed.
Dear god you guys are funny when you get into disputes <3
If Vegapunk can breed an entire dragon and turn humans into giants,
I'm sure he has the genetic know-how to build true cyborgs.
