My take on it is:

I remember law saying that there is a down side to using the smile fruit, which could mean a number of things, but to simplify it maybe a smile fruit user gains the power then for some reason either loses it or maybe even ages idk. So lets say kaido has 100's of smile fruit users whose usefulness is limited. He would need a constant supply of smiles to keep his army going constant.

So the key here is that the smile fruit soldiers don't last very long. I mean imagine if there was no downside then kaido wouldn't need a constant supply of smile fruits when he has an army already.

You know I have an opinion about the whole "Dofla relationship with Kaido" thing. I honestly do not believe Dolfa is afraid of Kaido and his violent tendencies. I'm not saying Kaido is not a force to be reckon with (the man is a freakin Yonkon), but I just don't see Dofla losing his shit just because Kaido coming after his ass. The way I see it…Dofla seems like a man who likes to control people…to use people for his benefit. And once he loses that influence over someone so powerful, it can't be good for him.

Kaido depends on Dolfa to provide him smiles (Zoan DF) for his beastly army. I don't think Kaido realizes how greatly he depends on Dolfa at this point. Without the smiles Kaido's Zoan army will not grow. Period. So you know the shit will hit the fan then. Kaido will probably go crazy and want to declare war on Dolfa's ass, but I don't think that really matters. What matters here is Dolfa will no longer have control over Kaido. I know this is all pure speculation, but I was wondering if this has ever been brought up before? Is there anyone else out there feeling me? I just have such a hard time seeing Dolfa being afraid of the Yonkons. He's extremely powerful, has a great influence over people, and has mastered king ambition…in my eyes, he's basically at par with the Yonkons. He even told the World Government to fuck off, that he was only a shichibukai for the hell of it and wouldn't hesitate to resign from his position. What a badass! I think he would be much more upset about someone (Law/SHs) messing up his master plans than Kaido declaring war on him. Blah! Done! Had to be said.

i actually feel similar and brought it up when the chapter happened but was shut down. I brought it up a few times after in other threads but not many as its just an assumption and dont feel like arguing. I still have a feeling DD isnt afraid of Kaido but has a self controlling personality, a mastermind and that law is fucking with his plans and as such is a big no no. He seems to have been scheming this plan for atleast 15 years and all of a sudden his plans are unfolding. This along with the fact that he wants to be pirate king but yet enhancing his opponent is very fishy and as such i cant take it just for face value at this moment. Being afraid is one thing, but being afraid and giving your enemy more power to be even more afraid is just plain fishy and to me doesnt add up at all.

not gonna argue if he's afraid of him or not, but doflamingo had no other choice to quit as his hand was forced when he could not kill smoker. His initial plan was not to quit but to capture/kill law/luffy and eliminate g5…. before this was to blow up Punk Hazard and eliminate everyone leaving no witnesses. All of this was impeded and the former was stopped by kuzan. B/c he knew smoker was gonna rat anyway, he quit, and proceeded with a new plan.

Makes sense I can see Dolf being that type but I also see him as a person who has trained other pirates thinking on Bellamy. I also he has a part in Law's upbringing, but who else? I think he is going for this whole secret organization thing like even having subordinates inside Pirate/Military ships …. which could be why Bellamy is all buddy buddy now...... My vote for Mera Mera is The New MEMBER that will probably join in this arc only cause its been a while and Jimbe is taking his sweet time if not that then I guess Sanji but I really think the crew Grows here to many people for Luffy not to just say Join my Crew........ but I can see the prize getting stolen b4 the finals thinking about how this place is a den on thieves with fairygod/dwarves

Green bit feels so wonder-goofy with all the fighting bulls with fins, dwarven life, grinning animals, and evergreen overgrown vegetation that I couldn´t helped but to stare at each page for like 20 seconds after my first read.

Marines ahoy. Boy do they know how to steer a warship, a stilish way to moor it, but as the marines seem unharmed its probably due to an ability user (fujitora perhaps?) than a fighting fish attack. Of course if these lovely fighting nemos can destroy a reinforced iron bridge of massive proportions, I can´t see why they wouldn´t launch a ship against Green bit. Nonetheless, the way it got stuck against that huge tree bark or whatever looks oddly put.

Bellamy, I like his growth as a character. Being such an ass in the past, makes his newly found respect towards luffy an amazing twist for the good. Who knows maybe by the end of the arc bellamy becomes a mugiwara fan trying to enter the crew with Luffy rejecting him once and again. It would make for a very interesting plot point as we haven´t had a character who would love to join the crew but is rejected by the captain. It would be like an ordeal sequence. Pretty neat if something like that could happen.

I bet Law is a cardiologist. He´s got hearts all over the place, tattoos, crew´s name, jacket Logo, seat and what not.

Ceasar is golden, can we keep him a bit longer as a hostage please. Once he´s out of his safe zone he´s just a scaredy cat, much like Ussop. The comedy between Ussops, "I´m getting this x disease …." and ceasars facefaults makes my eyes go teary.... soo good.

A fish destroys a huge bridge, robin stays cool. A navy ship is tangled against vegetation in the middle of a gigantic forest, robin stays cool. Dwarves strip marines off their robes, Robin stays cool, adventuring in the middle of the jungle, robin stays cool. She has nerves of steel I like this gal.

Those dwarves are either so many that you wouldn´t even dare to count them or have been going high on steroids. How would a tiny dwarf reel in that maniac fish so easily? I´m not buying that yet until I get a propper explanation of the mechanism or a satisfactory answer. It couldn´t be only 2, oh yeah we capture a fish the size of a stadium but we can´t set loose from this pair of hands (robin). Yeah.. bite me.

Btw, ussop' s "bite me" to Law´s complement was so amusing to see. I´m not sure if his speech was along the lines of zoros speech to tashigi when she finished off Monet, or if he actually ment it. Laws has always this poker face you cannot tell anything from his facial expressions, except when he´s plunged in the strawhats pace.

It's just the way he writes his story, I just don't believe for a second that Bellamy was an asshole only because of hating people who have dreams. By the way, I too think Bellamy has changed but I don't see that he turned a completely new leaf. He knows now that the value or dreams.

What you described in your first paragraph is basically 'a Pirate' and that's how pirates were in real life. They killed people when they lost card games, they stole other people's treasure, they mocked younger inexperienced pirates, they mocked everyone. Bellamy wasn't an asshole, he was a pirate and a damn fine one at that but yes he was indeed an asshole but it has been 2 Years! People change a lot in two years, some can change drastically within a few days.

its not an overestimation of his strength, its a "somethings fishy about his actions that doesnt add up."

Being afraid and being weaker are two different things. Ussop is way weaker than luffy but doesnt fear luffy.

More like it's because all of the horrible deeds attributed to him were heresay and nobody actually seems to have seen any of it, his barrier protected the crowd, and his whole character style screams tough guy who likes to piss people off, but is really a big softie inside

Thank you! That's what I was trying to shed light on. I just find certain things about this whole "Dolfa and Kaidou business relationship" thing a little fishy. There has to be more to it than is being shared. And NO I don't mean sexually (to all you pervs out there). I'm going to go ahead share why I don't think Dolfa is that scared of Kaidou. Can "Hundred Beast" Kaidou be intimidating to someone like Dolfa? Sure. But intimidating enough to cause Dolfa to give up everything he has worked up to in the last 10 years to comply to his former subordinate's demands? Hmmmm…something is telling me no. There has to be more to this.

You see, I have to admit one of the reasons I challenge Dolfa "genuine fear" of Kaidou is because the man has conqueror's haki. I would not doubt his "fear of Kaidou" so much if he didn't master this ability. People that have conqueror's haki do not typically fear there opponents. Sure they fear other things (we've seen Luffy freak out sessions), but they do not fear those that challenging them. Not the one's I've seen so far at least. Hancock is a perfect example of this...she didn't seem to care about any threats against her. Not even when the Marines threaten the strip her title of Shichibukai and invade her forbidden island if she didn't agree to fight at Marineford. Everyone in her kingdom was freaking out but Hancock didn't even bat an eyelash. It wasn't because she was a (bad) bitch, it was because she really didn't fear the Marines. Whether or not the Marine's were stronger than her didn't matter, she did not fear them. People that have conqueror's haki have a strong will…spirits that cannot easily be broken. Fear will not overshadow that strength of character. Sorry this had to be one of those other "OMG! Did you really just bring haki into this?!" kind of theories, but I couldn't help but share where I'm coming from with all this. Trust me, the moment Usopp masters conqueror's haki I will take everything I said back! Everything! I swear! Um...kinda.

And again... I'm not saying that Dolfa doesn't fear Kaidou because he's STRONGER than the Yonkou! I don't know this! Nobody really does (expect Oda of course)! I just don't believe characters that have such a strong will (conqueror's haki) typically fear their opponents. So Dolfa being "deathly afraid" of Kaidou doesn't seem to make a lot of sense to me. Something smells a little fishy.

I feel rather silly to invest so much time towards this whole "Dolfa is scared of Kaidou?" topic, but hey it's just something I had a gut feeling about (and seems that others share a similar feeling) and thought I share. A thank you to those sharing your thoughts about the matter!
