i just can't help but think Luffy joining Law and also trying to "kidnap" CC is totally out of character. I would like someone to explain the reasons behind him acting like this so that I can start loving this arc
Luffy isn't joining anyone, he's doing this because defeating an emperor is Luffy's idea of fun.
And why wouldn't he kidnap people? He's done plenty of morally questionable things before, needing no reason other than that he wants to. -
ok. ok. so the chapter is coming out sometime around the next 24 hours or so. let's post our predictions now. LOL
- baby 5 and buffalo will encounter sanji and tashigi (and G5) who are looking for the exit.
- some parts of smoker and vergo will be shown (while vergo squeezing law's heart now and then, law trying to recover his heart)
- ceasar will appear in the biscuits room and he and monet will fight the other strawhats.
- luffy will meet momonosuke in the garbage dump.
I'd say Baby 5 and Buffalo arriving close to the island is the cliffhanger. Don't think they'll arrive there that fast. Everything else I can see totally happening, although I do hope Smoker and Vergo's fight takes at least half a chapter (hell I won't mind a full chapter of them fighting, I am that pumped for it).

Heck when Luffy first met Vivi (as Ms.Wednesday) he threw her and Mr.9 overboard into the sea. When someone asked "what we going do about these two", it was answerd with "just throw them out" link and no they didnt' get a chance to swin to closest land, as that was Crocus' lighthouse.Its not a simple thing to throw someone overboard, often its a sign that they dont' give a damn what happens to the person. This is true esp in the Grand Line, not only can people drown ot get eaten by sea monsters.
Heck at first, they didnt' care about Vivi's problems or her country. Only once she started to travel (and that was due to Ighram hiring them to protect Vivi) witht hem did they become friends. Still Luffy didn't fight Crocodile for the country, he fought for Viv.
Luffy cares about his friends but not so much about strangers.

The chapter amused me, I liked how Luffy was slowly falling asleep by Monet's attack, and then "gomu gomu no!!" his face as he was falling through the hole was hilarious, Monet's ability is certainly not the strongest one but she does know how to fight using intelligence and wit, I wonder if Luffy will have his rematch against Monet once he makes his way out from the hole, Trafalgar's fight was great, I wasn't expecting to see him all beaten up so early, Vergo keeps receiving attacks (Sanji's and Counter shock) However, he keeps going as if nothing had happened, I don't know if those attacks are really making him some damage and he is pretending to be all right, or if those attacks weren't effective at all, although he's spat blood after receiving those attacks, so I'd go with the theory of him suffering damage but he can take it due to his hardness ability, as I see it he will keep enduring attacks and then he will suddenly faint due to all the attacks he received, it will be interesting to see Smoker vs Vergo, I do hope smoker wins, because he needs to redeem himself after that lost against Trafalgar, I don't think Oda will have Smoker lose twice in the same arc.
Somebody probably suggested this already, but what if Vergo forgot that the attacks hurt/are supposed to hurt?
Otherwise, Tekkai (in the case of Sanji's attack) or him just being really resistant or strong seem the most likely.

He can throw fire around to get through her defenses and make clothing for himself if she starts to freeze him. Plus Sanji isn't there to yell at him for bullying a woman. Not sure he's the TYPE to fight a woman, but there isn't anything about him that would make it impossible to believe.
My instinct is that Nami or Robin will fight her instead, but… Kinemon matches up better, power-wise.

I bet he will too. Considering the names he's given the rest of the crew, Yuki-onna is probably his name for her, given the similarities between her design and the myths. Also, I said it before but I'm willing to bet Monet's the one doing the actual child-napping, and is probably the one who took his kid in the first place.
Remember, Kinemon's just an old-school "Traditional Gender Roles" sort of guy, rather than a hypocritical chivalrous knight like Sanji. I don't think he'll have serious problems with dishing out a face-full of swordflames to a woman, particularly one who is clearly evil.

I'm not sure if Vergo is going to have a power apart from haki, but the interesting thing is the expressions when he took the hits from Sanji and Law. What if it's not indicating how tough he is but rather how much he needs to win the fight?
He told the Navy that he had to take leaves of absence to look after his sick little sister. Could he be doing all this for Monet?
It would fit with what we've seen that her bird parts could be down to Law and Clown rather than a devil fruit power and why Law took her heart in exchange for his own. We don't know why he's working for Joker so maybe he's being set yp as a tragic figure or a protector like Igaram at the start of Alabasta rather than a villian in his own right.

Tekkai was what he used against Sanji's kick.
Soru was what he used to take Law's heart back.
Geppou was what he used when he was talking to Doflamingo. -
