Is a manga I found a few weeks ago. It says shojo on there but it looks more like a mix so far. The story is about a really nice dude who looks like a gorilla. Also it has great humor. Only 1 chapter out in English so far, so give it a shot, it won't take long!
Ore Monogatari!!

It's an awesome manga, came out of blue and became the talk of the town this year.
It's gaining ground and fandom, hopefully it'll continue and get animated one day.
I only read the first volume, haven't picked up the second volume yet.The dude is just so awesome.
What's amazing about the manga though, it's running Bessatsu Margaret, the most shoujo of shoujo mangas.
It looks so out of place in the magazine, yet he's winning hearts of girls and women readership by sheer quality of his personality. -

Too bad there's only one chapter scanlated so far. Hopefully it can get more attention, because Kimi ni Todoke and Sukitte Ii na Yo just make me want to punch the protagonists…

I finally read this as it was just scanlated to chapter 6.
How many chapters are there now?
This guy is simply awesome. His GF is just too sweet to be true as well though.

I don't know, I loved the first chapters but it is already starting to get repetitive. Something has to happen to keep my interest. Bring some new character or whatever but please put some spice in this sugary manga.

A bit of necromancy, but I figure better than starting a thread new when there's already one.
Anywho , I was wondering who's watched this series now what the anime has run its course and the manga is officially in English up to, I think, volume 6.
I've watched most of it and loved it to the point I recommended it to a weekly anime club I attend. It's gotten good response from there, too.
I love how hilariously adorable the series is.

Necro'ing this thread to announce a dub from Sentai Filmworks has come out a couple months ago. A preview of funny Takeo moments.
Voice actor wise:
Takeo - Andrew Love - Roles we might know: Akainu.
Suna - Austin Tindle - Roles we might know: Karma (Assassination Classroom)
Yamato - Tia Ballard - Roles we might know: Happy (Fairy Tail); -
One more bit of necromancy and double posting to announce that the thirteenth and final volume of the manga is more available in English.
If you want up pick up the series after watching the anime, best point would be volume 8. It ends on the patissiere arc that closed the anime, but also has Takeo meeting Yamato's family and an arc with Suna's sister and the guy that likes her. After all that it's all manga only.

Aw, it's over already? I read up to either vol. 11 or 12, the one about Okinawa, and it has been quite an enjoyable ride.
