I like the Chespin final evo if it's actually real. It isn't perfect, but I think it'll grow on me as I use it (again, assuming it's real)

Chespin's final evolution looks awesome and I'm glad Greninja was real, because I like his look. I still haven't seen Fennekin's final evolution (since the image was hot linked), but I'm sure it's also solid. My starter choice will definitely be Froakie, though…

Acttually, Chesnaught seems suspicious, since the pokedex picture has a gap between it and Fennekin. Unless mega evos do get a pokedex slot, and they lied about no new gen mega evos

Oh yeah… When the Instagram leaker chose Chespin, the first rival starter he saw was Froakie, which I thought was strange. Now the picture makes sense.

Chesnaught is simply hideous!!! I was almost sure I would end up picking Chespin because of Quilladin's pure awesomeness, but this? God, one of the worst Pokémon designs ever! And coming after freaking amazing Torterra and omgthisshitlooksGORGEOUS-Serperior?

Delphox… I'm ok. Maybe with clearer images and other angles I will like it a bit more.

Oh man. So many things to catch up on

! - On Mega Charizard x: I hate it. It's a good design, but why does Charizard get special treatment? Unless they give Venusaur and Blastoise the same treatment, I hate it. It's like Blaziken getting a mega evo while Sceptile and Swampert are still on the sidelines.

On Swirlix/Spritzee: uuuh … wtf happened? I was so interested in Spritzee but that interest took a huge toll. Is every Fairy pokemon going to be a pink, fluffy wonderland design? If so then really Mawile is the only interesting one for not being that. I'm still considering it, but I'm really really hoping there's a third evolution, because that fluffy ... thing ... is disheartening.
On Delphox: Like everything but the ears. Eager to see it in action. Only problem is I like Braixen a lot more. Seems like one more case of a starter whose midvolution I like more.
On Greninja: SO glad I chose Froakie from the start. Frogadier is an awesome pokemon, and Greninja follows up with that with some epic speed. Also excited that last gen we got the samurai water starter, now we get the ninja one.
On Chesnaught: I'm ok with it. I like what the typing does to its design, even though I find it a bit derpier than the other two. Sceptile and Venusaur are still the best in my book, but Chesnaught is still not bad.
On Helioptile evo: Yup, I'm using this thing. Definitely like it.

! And how cool do the new starter moves sound?? I love the sound of the Water Shuriken move.

I am not talking about moveset/typing/stats. I am not a hardcore player (I usually play only until I beat the Champion. GenIV I gave up before the 6th gym 'cause I lost interest) even though I really like Pokémon, so what makes me like this or that pokémon is based on more casual aspects (like design and things like that).

To me it goes like this:
Serperior > Torterra > Sceptile > Venusaur > Meganium
Infernape > Typhlosion > Charizard > Emboar > Blaziken
Feraligatr > Empoleon > Blastoise > Swampert = Samurott

I will wait do pass a final judgement over GenVI starters, but Chesnaught will prbably go after Meganium in my list (and Meganium would be the last if I was to put all the starters together). Still waiting for better images on Delphox and Greninja have chances of beating Feraligatr as my favorite water starter.

Well, it sorts of makes up for the fact that GF shitted on Charizard after creating Stealth Rock.

I've never cared for Grass or Fire starters as I've always started with Water.

I can't even be bother to rank them from favorite to least because they've all been awesome.

I was actually talking about the whole Chesnaught (attacks, design). If I were a stat hardcore I would choose Serperior for its speed. :P It has the best design of a Plant starter since Torterra. Serperior's appearance seemed to be designed as cool on purpose.

My list would be like this (I like to make lists):

Torterra > Venusaur > Chesnaught > Sceptile > Meganium > Serperior

Charizard > Blaziken > Typhlosion > Infernape > Emboar > Delphox

Swampert = Blastoise > Feraligatr > Samurott > Empoleon > Greninja (I don't like to put Greninja the last one though)

Fire types are usually my favorite of every generation… and then there is Infernape. I just hate that bugger with a passion. There is no other starter that I dislike as much as him. The rest fall just by preference lead by Charizard being my first starter and favorite Pokemon (though I like Typhlosion's evolutionary line more than the Charizard line). I'm surprised I like Emboar as much as I do. He's almost equal with Blaziken, but I enjoy Blaziken just a bit more.

Water types are always neat. Feraligatr barely takes first place, Blastoise is awesome, Swampert is one of my favorite typings (Water/Ground), Samurott and Empoleon I don't like as much as their designs go off a bit of the deep end and I never really enjoyed them quite as much.

Greninja has the best design of the bunch. Delphox is looking a little plain at the moment but will probably look better once higher-quality pictures/official artwork comes out.

Honestly, I pretty much never end up keeping the starter, I end up liking something else along the way that fills it niche… mostly because so many starters are mono-type.

Charizard I took all the way though... doubling as token flyer was useful.

I agree that Chestnaught looks a little werid, if way better than it's 2nd evo. I feel like Delphox should have more, dare I say it, flare? Aside from the ears. Damn.
