While I'm still not a huge fan of Mega's, when they mention that they changed the typing of some Pokemon, I was upset that Charizard didn't become Fire/Dragon originally, but Charizard X doing it finally realizes that potential. Regardless of color, I think X looks a lot more appealing than Y did. It retains a lot of the silhouette that I liked from the original Charizard. I'm also in the camp that prefers Mewtwo X over Y.
I was also upset that Blaistoise didn't become Water/Steel.
Though, I kinda wish Mega's were exclusive to Legendaries or something to make them special… and to explain why not every single Pokemon will get one. Or if they were an alternative to final evolution and you could give them to second forms.

Yeah, but you can't attack until after you switch in, so that's a moot point regarding stealth rocks. Unless you lead the team with it, but then stealth rocks aren't a huge issue anyways

But yes. I don't really see much of a point of using a Megazard(both versions) in a competitive team unless you plan on making it lead. -

Well, I'd considered trading with a friend to use Swirlix cuse its like a cotton candy dog thing… but given the evolutions... I'll stick with my Y monster of Spritzee fro my token fairy type I think... (Or maybe the eevee. None of the fairies are really impressing me. Mawhile maybe...) Unless it's getting flying type, because thats overlapping with several things I want now...

It's very Togepi-esque.
Both of those feel like second stages out of three, rather than final forms however. (Well, Spritzee's feels a little final, but Swirlex doesn't at all… and if one of them gets three forms then they both do.)

It doesn't need a stick anymore. Braxien was like…a wizards apprentice. Wizards apprentices have sticks (wands), but actual wizards themselves don't use them or any sort of stick/staff for that matter (often).
That is the most suspicious thing about the design itself, however, even then, based on what's seen of full-fledged witches and wizards, a "stick" isn't needed in the final design (like Froakie's rumored final evo no longer having bubbles, because adult frogs no longer carry a part of their bubble nest).
I don't know if what I said made any sort of sense grammatically. lol
