So with Madara's O face, the quivering/shaking Ten-tails, and Kakashi & Obito warping to their private dimension, I'm starting to think that Kishi glanced at Kuroko no Basuke's fujoshi popularity and decided on doing stuff like this as a way to kill time until Mario.

Imagine if in Naruto, at the end of the Sasuke Retrieval Arc if Sasuke had gotten to Orochimaru, but Naruto saved him and defeated Orochimaru, and Sasuke became a good guy again and became Naruto's best friend. The Part 2 could have still happened, it would still need to time-skip because everyone needs to get strong enough to take on the Akatsuki, but everything can happen exactly the same way, except without the Sasuke stuff. Sasuke would replace Sai, and he and Yamato would just go back to being minor characters, when and if relevant. Kabuto would just take over as Orochimaru from the start. Sakura would still develop as a character through the break up with Sasuke, but it would all have happened over the time skip. They still save Garra, Shikamaru and Asuma fight Hidan, Pein comes, Jiryaya dies, the Itachi vs Sasuke still happens, but he does it as like a secret mission. Cut everything about Sasuke being part of Team Hawk. Obito and Kakashi is still a thing, and the war happens the same way. And maybe Sasuke dies instead of Neji and it will actually have an impact. Talking to the Hokages about Itachi would be the only thing that wouldn't really fit
I think it would make it a much better story, don't you?

So it just occurred to me; after accepting what Kubo's telling us through Urahara at face value here (despite how stupid it is), there's another question it brings up.
The gigai plan is necessary because Masaki can't balance out the new hollow-ness. Urahara's telling us Masaki needs human-ness for that, ergo Isshin entering gigai made from random dude's soul.
Masaki lacks human-ness. Full-blood Quincies lack human-ness. That's one unsettling thing.
Assuming that Ichigo being part everything includes being part human, then Ichigo's human-ness is from…. that gigai made from random dude's soul.I'm calling it now.
There will be some Quincy origin myth revolving around Yhwach. He used to be a human dude with powers. Then somehow he loses his humanity and becomes the first of what's now known as Quincies. This humanity of his is floating around for X amount of time until Urahara stumbles upon it and makes the gigai out of it. And thus, Yhwach will be a literal father of Ichigo. -
So…Quincies aren't humans anymore?

Exactly. You can see from the last chapter its already starting to work. I have a feeling this story is going to end with a bunch of sappy make-ups. Hashirama and Madara kiss and make up, Kakashi and Obito kiss and make up, and Naruto and Sasuke kiss and make up. Maybe Tsunade and Orochimaru, but I'm still hoping Jiraiya will come back.

I… I just read the good part of NAruto - you know, from the beginning to the fight with Sasuke, just before the Shippuuden.
Wow, the level of quality this title had at some moments. Kishi's problem is that he forgot about focusing the story on smaller number of people. We had great one on one fights, he rarely put more than a few characters in one fight, so that he could flesh out and make them shine more. It was great to see the Sound Four fights with Neji, Chouji, Shikamaru and Kiba. It was really great to see the Zabuza fight. And it was frickin' awesome to read Rock Lee's and Gaara's fight again. Now we get a bazillion number of characters, none of them matter, because Kishi wanted to make everything bigger. He never had to. I can see that even Oda sometimes has little problems with the Straw Hats, not that there's about ten of them. To flesh out every single character and give them an arc is just hard, Oda still managaes to make it high quality with the numbers he has. But Kishi? Yeah, he threw about what, 50 characters with names, abilities and some backstory in this war? Good luck with that, we can all see the difference. -

He started the war because the system is wrong, he even says as much. Rin's death might have been the trigger for obito's epiphany. that is that the ninja world is a fucking unfair place, and that he rather wants to live in a dream world. so he's not entirely wrong on that part. still a shitty fucking chapter though.

But… is really Kishimoto still drawing it? The art keeps getting worse: that Sakura face, for example, is simply deformed (and let's not talk about that scribble with 10 tails, which seems drawn by a 4 years old). As for the story... meh: I don't know if Obito is more stupid or pathetic, as a villain. His way of thinking is totally moronic.
