I totally agree that Donfla having some Shishio vibes.
One thing is bothering me. How does Donfla fly? By walking? Jumping? Running? Flapping his arms? Just by sitting and he just floats to PH?

Well…. I know one of the things we'll be arguing about over the break
Oda knows how to keep us busy.

Probably something to do with his string powers.
Real quick I wanna say my opinion about this chapter:Holy Shit.There.
@Fire Fist:
About this chapter:
1. Baby 5 is a Weapon Logia. Haha, I was right. So all you people who insulted me for saying so need to apologize.
2. Again, I was also right about the Heart Caesar had being Monet's. R.I.P. Monet. We hardly knew ye.
3. Doflamingo's coming, and he's about to slice someone to ribbons… this should be interesting. Best guess: Smoker will be the one to hold him off until the rest can get out of there. Who else can fight a String Paramecia... a really, really dangerous sociopathic String Paramecia, at that?
Not sure how having a String DF can get you from Island to Island, while being airborne, in minutes… There's more to it than that.
@Galaxy:
How is this possible? A weapon is not an element.
It doesn't matter. We saw her reform from pieces. No Paramecia in the entire series has done that. That is a logia only thing in One Piece.
So CC stabs Monet's heart which he mistook for Smoker's. Saw that one coming!
However, what I did not see coming is Dofla himself heading towards Punk Hazard to enter the fray!
Hehe, shit's about to get very interesting! ^_^

What about Buggy?
Wow.
Early chapter, without spoilers = PURE WIN.
And the last page…
I didn't expect that!
It's even more brutal cliffhanger than the thing with Monet.
It's going to be difficult to endure these 2 weeks...
Is that a surprise? Most pirate captains want to become the pirate king.
I am not surprised. While Doflo is not a 'dreamer' he is one to see what postions and titles would be avantageous to him. Lets face it, since Roger the title a pirate can have that gets most fear/respect/recognition is that of the Pirate King.
Doflo will not go after the title of Pirate King as part of a dream, no he will go for it because beign called "Pirate King" would go far as a means for some plan he has.
Hold on. Doflamingo can control the "fabric" of the universe. That would be incredibly overpowered but it would make some kind of sense on how these wires aren't visible and how he can fly using them.
LOL and the irony is that this comment fits with the theory of him having a 'string' df. After all one of the biggest ideas of the universe is the Superstring Theory. It was after that theroy came out that sceintists actlually think of the possibility of alternate realities, parallel worlds. Before they would scoff and say "pure sci-fi, there is no science there!",
Pretty sure this has been widely predicted but I have not been browsing AP in awhile so I want to ask: is it still widely speculated that Law has Luffy's heart from 2 years ago when he performed the surgery to save Luffy?
A few stragglers still try to say that, but its not so common now. This arc should kill it finally.
With the Punk Hazard arc we can say no that did NOT happen. When people are missing their heart, there is a hole in their chest where their heart is supposed to be located. We see it this chapter with Monet, we saw it before as Law put his heart back in.
Luffy does not have a hole in his chest.
@Galaxy:
How is this possible? A weapon is not an element.
You are in Oda's world. Everything is possible here. So isnt Caribou's Swamp type Logia. Logia doesn't necessarily have to be an element. I think Baby 5 has a Paramecia-Logia combined DF.

Swamp is a natural element (mud).
Law had some very subtle badass moments this chapter. I was kinda mad at him for yelling at Luffy awhile back (Yes, Luffy did deserve to get yelled at, but I was still mad) Law was always a calm sort of guy. It was "different" to see him get mad at Luffy. but he redeemed himself this chapter.
Can't wait for another shichibukai vs shichibukai soon
@Galaxy:
What about Buggy?
Buggy's is different. Buggy's power IS to separate. Furthermore, once his body parts are a certain distance from him, he no longer has control over them. The ONLY people besides him we've seen break into pieces and reform like Baby 5 just did are Logia (with the exception of Marco, but he has a Phoenix Zoan, which allowed him to be shot up and heal instantly). Even Joz, who had a diamond paramecia, could not reform his arm after Aokiji froze and broke it off. Yet Aokiji could make an Ice leg after losing it during his fight with Akainu. So, I don't how a weapon is a Logia, but this time, it is.
@Galaxy:
Probably something to do with his string powers.
yeah. but in what manner? from the panel in looks like he's sprinting to PH. but those curvy motion lines don't help
I didn't get any sympathy, Doflamingo was like WTF are you doing Monet? Vergo seemed more like a respectful thing than a sad one. I think we've seen very clearly Doflamingo has no need for weaklings, and I'm sure if there is any interaction with the SHs they'll find out. Also what if Dofla is using a version of sky walk?
Monet's dead, eh? Welp, RIP to one of the coolest characters in One Piece (no pun intended).
Also, I think Dofla's just using skywalk as apposed to some sort of Devil Fruit. If not, then obviously his DF has something to do with Flamingos because that's his theme.
He's probably using the elasticity of his strings to "Bounce" to Punk Hazard. We've already seen that he's able to fly with them, back when he flew way above Marineford just before severing Oars Jr.'s leg.
t. Also what if Dofla is using a version of sky walk?
I don't know bout that one. Dofla looks like he's swinging himself across the ocean. Kinda like a spiderman "crawl swing" gesture

Right. But the definition of Logia is Natural element. Something a weapon cannot be. Just wait until the full extent of Baby 5's powers are explained before marking her down as Logia.

Very Good also was built like this. He would break into orbs or berries, to absorb blunt attacks.

How do flamingos allow you to control people like puppets and sever limbs? It's pretty obvious he has string powers.
Also, when has a Shichibukai ever had a power based on their animal theme, except for Jinbe's ability to call Whale Sharks? Boa Hancock had a pet snake but she couldn't turn into a snake like her sisters, Mihawk has the creepy hawk eyes but they don't enhance his swordsmanship in any way, Crocodile had Bananadiles but he didn't have crocodile powers (unless he liked to bury eggs in his sand), Kuma's paw pad powers were all about spacial compression and not about becoming a giant bear and mauling stuff, Moria had no Gekko powers, although his Shadows Asgard form looked like a giant Gekko, and Blackbeard's Black Hole powers have nothing to do with any animal.

Dofla's power of manipulation doesn't have to be involved with his DF powers, just like Monet doesn't need her snow powers in order to fly or Luffy doesn't need his gomu gomu no mi in order to use haki, it could just be some sort of weapon or an ability he picked up or something.

Uh, Haki is completely different, and Monet DOES use her snow powers to create her wings, actually. During her fight with Zoro, you can clearly see she still has her hands, but she constantly uses her Snow Logia to make them into wings. Also, whenever Doflamingo manipulates people, he's shown making a marionette tugging motion with his hands. It's pretty obvious he's using his string abilities, especially since the people are able to try and resist him. If it was some psychic ability, they wouldn't be fighting back against him.

The point is, there are powers and techniques within the One Piece world that do not require Devil Fruits in order to be used. Besides, not all psychic are met with non-resistance, BTW and even if it wasn't psychic powers Dofla was using, it could easily be some sort of weapon he required.
Also, what book are you reading? Monet had her limbs modified by Law in order to fly and it has nothing to do with her DF powers.

Or "Lord Molester"

How else would you explain pieces of weapon transforming into its original state? From the looks, she was acting like a Logia user. But like you said, let us wait.
Great chapter. You know between the old man in the panel and the whole young master thing and I am getting more and more convinced that Dofla is actually one of the World Nobles. This would explain so much
Anyway I can't wait to see Dofla vs Everybody. Considering his puppeters powers which can control even someone as powerful and Haki able as Jozu I can see only two people standing up to him. And since Smoker already got his moment in the sun I really REALLY want to see Nico Robin getting her moment. With her powers I think she will be one of the few people apart from Logia's who will be able to do something against Dofla. Of course we can't have her actually defeating him but I can see a surprise attack from her that catches Dofla off guard where she breaks for examples his fingers thus making him incapable of using his powers for a while and forcing him to retreat. It will be a great example of how you never know how one DF fruit will do against another and it will be a real surprise
Also it would escalate Dofla's hatred against the Strawhats. After all he has been set up as a far too major player to get the final battle over now

Ehh yes they have. Remember this guy? http://onepiece.wikia.com/wiki/Very_Good

Already been posted, but Very Good could do the same.
According to this random cracked article…
You have a 1 in 3 chance of surviving getting stabbed through the heart But for me, Law's sadistic comment was the clincher. Yes, Oda subverts death at every turn, but more importantly I can't imagine Oda would have a person's last scene be Law being smug and smiling. Seems really cruel and really unlike One Piece's style of writing to end it like that.
Ehh yes they have. Remember this guy? http://onepiece.wikia.com/wiki/Very_Good
His power was to turn into balls and he was an extremely minor character, probably just in there for a gag, since he wasn't even shown at the War at Marineford. I can't imagine people keeping a straight face during the war with a bunch of afro-headed beach balls bouncing around. Plus, the extent of his powers were only shown in the anime, and are non-canon. In the manga, we only saw Franky punch him and him separate into balls. How he reformed is unknown.
Just like how Blackbeard shares the "dreams", yet is evil and cruel at the same time, making him anti of the protagonist,
Doflamingo seems like another antithesis to Luffy. If Luffy's priorities were switched, and had the mindset of "sacrifice anything to achieve my goal, even if it means sacrificing my mates", he'd be Doflamingo.That difference in the two captain's ideology will probably be a focus of their clash. It'll be delicious.
I agree and I see Law and Kid being extensions of Luffy as well. Kid's crew share their captain's methods of dealing with people (which is usually overly violent and sadistic). However even though his methods are heinous he is not evil, cruel but not evil. His importance in having dreams is interesting as well because like Luffy he has very little tolerance for those who mock his dreams. Law, obviously cares about his crew, because of the serious pause he gave when Luffy questioned him about Bepo's whereabouts. He is also shown to be kindhearted by recruiting John Bart. However unlike Luffy he takes his time and plans things out rather than going in head first, he also like or unlike Luffy can accept a tactical loss which is probably the reason why he was under Doflamingo in the two year time-skip.
So to shorten things up
Law: Tactical Luffy/ Loves crew members, but will stage a separation if the matter calls for it, and a dream of becoming the pirate king.
Kid: Violent Luffy/ Solves most with violence any tactical moves were probably enticed by Killer, wants to become pirate king, loves crew.
Do Flamingo: Evil Tactical Luffy/ Has plans to rise to power without upsetting the set order of things, will sacrifice crew members if needed, and is remorseful in doing so
Balckbeard: Evil Violent Luffy/ Loves crew, everything is solved with violence or murder, all plans are carried out with the intent of violence or murder, will stage a tactical retreat if violence or murder aren't posssible.
I just had a thought: Maybe eventually, the Strawhats will pull a Bugs Bunny and somehow end up in Hell, you know, the actual Hell with fire and brimstone and shit and while they're down there, they'll meet up with all the people that have died since the start of the series and in order to get back they'll have to defeat Satan and his minions.
It's a retarded though I know, but I sort of want to see it know that I typed it out.

Well… we've already been to a hell type of an Island before where there were Devils, minions and all

So you write off facts by writing off someone as a minor character? Right…
Isn't it obvious that if he broke into several pieces, he would be able to reform?
Also, Brook can reform himself now.
Well… we've already been to a hell type of an Island before where there were Devils, minions and all
That was the Christian view of hell, we could always go with Eastern Religion's view of Hell which is WAY more intense. Besides, the though of Luffy punching Satan in the face with haki makes me laugh.

Doesn't matter how minor the character was its still a canon ability, that allows you to break into pieces and reform.
Damn Law, you scary.
Well if Pell can survive a nuke I'm sure Vergo and Monet are still alive. Plus we didn't get their flashbacks yet lol

Well, we didn't have a flashback for ace until after his death.
Not every character gets flashbacks either.
N Monet's out. So is Dofla actually a good friend? n HOW DA FUQ is he flying?
I'm glad that Baby 5 broke apart when she became a missile, if she had just gone back to her original state her fruit would have been tittering on being a repeat of Mr.5's fruit.
Robin looked really weird this chapter. I'm really hoping Doflamingo just misses out on the crew, Still looking for some more build up to him. Aside from that a pretty dull chapter. Everything just feels like 'omg! this happened…..no it didn't.'
