Apparently Pokemon B+W sequal will be announced on something called Pokemon Smash.
I suspect it'll be Pokemon Grey.

I tell you, it'll be called "Pokémon Rainbow" for sure.
Pokemon Prism plz
Legit.
Very anxious for this announcement
But they swore up and down before Black and White came out that there wouldn't be any mid-game this gen! They swore!
Ah well, this'll probably be the last game in the main franchise they ever release on a system I own, and I've been wanting to replay White (they need a new game+ desperately. Keep everything in your box and backpack… but reset the world so you can do the quest again and have fun with some low level critters.)
Time to prepare a team of male Gardevoirs then~
Not to mention the female Mr. Mimes.

And you believed them. How cute.

If by that you mean rolled my eyes and said "suuuuuure you won't" in as sarcastic a tone as possible…

If it was on purpose as a joke then IT'S NOT FUNNY.
Honestly, the eventual existence of pokemon gray should have been obvious the moment anyone saw Kyurem
I'll buy it, need to own more than 1 game for my ds…
I'm hoping they'll fix the backpack. I HATE the layout of in BW of most things being in one pocket. Separate Pokeballs and such from other items.
I'm curious though, do you think this will be a direct sequel or a RSE remake? With Gen 3 they did the remakes, then the 3rd version, but they did it the opposite way for gen 4. I'm kinda hoping they do the remakes first. I'd rather a remake of a 10 year old game, than an update of a 1 year old game. I was alright with it in Gen 4 because Diamond and Pearl desperately needed the things added in Platinum to make it good.
If they choose not to remake RSE, perhaps they'd add Hoenn in as a region for post-story in this 3rd version.

Yeah, that was one of the few things in B/W that was actually a step back from the prior games. Wonder what made them decide to do it that way.

Could be either or. We could get 'Gray' as one last hurrah for main Pokemon games on the DS, then future games might skip to the 3DS. Or we could get the RSE remakes for DS, then Gray for the 3DS kind of like Crystal being only for the Game Boy Color. I guess we'll be finding out very soon one way or another
Hopefully this comes out on the 3DS…
I hope it's on the DS

Actually that would be a great idea! If they are going to do remakes for R&S, do it on the 3DS and leave Gray for the DS.
Of course then I'd need to buy a 3DS, though.
Either way, if the RSE remakes do end up on the 3DS, I'd assume and hope they'd still be fully compatible with Black and White (and Gray). As in, doll it up graphically and add some extra 3DS features (Street/SpotPass, pedometer, motion control minigames, etc), but keep the underlying mechanics the same as B/W/G. We don't quite need to move on to "Gen 6" yet, but a Gen 5 game that's sort of in-between the two systems would be a nice taste of it. Just like Crystal was; on the "next" system, but still part of the same generation.
Well there hasn't been a generation that didn't have a inbetween game
Gen 1: yellow
Gen 2: Crystal
Gen 3: Emerald
Gen 4: Platinum
(i don't coun't HH and SS)

Fire Red and Leaf Green didn't have an in-between either. I guess the remakes just don't.

…wow. Remind me never to misspell something around you. O_O
I'm still crossing my fingers for the remakes of Ruby and Sapphire. Because I am a horrible whore.
RSE remakes would just make my…decade. Hoenn is personally my favorite region, to see it updated to function like BW would just be awesome.
I'd won't touch RS ever agian unless they omit all those bloody required HMs.
The Honen E4 could use the re-boot,with GS/DP poke's and a character redesign, which they desperately need. And cause that's the only negative about RS I can come up with….And case the world exploring is already top-notch,as well as post-E4 gaming,it can only get better with more content.
Hey I'm looking for some people to trade me some pokemon..or at least the eggs. I was wondering is there was a specific place I could go on the forums or if I could ask here
There is a thread for B&W, I think that's the best place to ask.

I guess that makes me a horrible whore as well, as well as a few other people i know. Ruby/Sapphire MUST be remade. It is a must.
Though i really wish they'd release a bloody game that has a 2nd region in it like GOld/Silver did.
I don't think its a dead certain It'll be called 'Grey'. How many expected Diamond/Pearl & then 'Platinum' or Gold/Silver & Crystal??
i think they should release a game set in one of the old regions like kanto and have all the pokemon we already know but an entirely new story. they don't always have to have new pokemon every time
R&S were pretty bad, but Emerald is a good game. I would put D&P below R&S though.
The R/S/E games were my favorites in the series personally. I agree to the line of thought that there should be an entire other region to explore like Kanto was in G/S/C. I love post-game content.
I doubt Game Freak will ever do that G/S/C method again unless it's a completely original region to that game. What money is there in putting a former region on the same game if you can just remake it later?
…I make that remark as I say I'd like to see Ruby and Sapphire remade means I'm part of the problem obviously.
Ruby and Sapphire were good I guess, but I dunno. The environment just seemed so bland.
I hated Ruby. There was something that was seriously lacking during the game's mian adventure. It could have been the enviroment, the huge amount places that required Surf to reach, or the random encounter selection being uninteresting at most.
And anyone remember Wally?
I sure don't.
Ruby and Sapphire came out in my "I'm too old for Pokémon" phase. I was, what, 12? In any case I decided I was way too old for those childish things.
After a few years I started enjoying Pokémon again and played R/S eventually, but I just did it because I couldn't stand having an incomplete game/Pokédex in my collection. Hurt gamer's pride.
Still, I was hell-bent on not enjoying R/S.
I hated the new Pokémon with a burning passion and, since first impressions are very hard to change, I still do.
After I finished the Pokédex I never touched the games again. I can't remember the names of any city or what the gyms were like - nothing. Basic story? Well, uh …
I'd actually love to give the games a second chance. A remake would be perfect for that.

You can never too old to play pokemon.

Of course, but 12-year-old me wouldn't listen to reason.

This is all I want. I want a new story and adventure, I'm sick of being a 10 year old boy….
Also, they need to make tutorials skippable.. SKIPPABLE.
The rivals are one of my biggest complaint with RSE. May/Brenden are just so…bland. They didn't do anything to stand out aside from being Birch's kid. They didn't have a climactic final battle they just kinda give up after the last battle. Wally was just...there. You can admire that the guy gets healthy and enjoys being a trainer, but he only fought you like two times. The last battle with him is pretty cool, but he could have appeared as much as Barry did in DPP to make it more interesting.
The surfing was ridiculous and I thank the flying spaghetti monster everyday for Repels.
One thing I noticed with BW is that it is what Gamefreak wanted RSE to be: a fresh generation to get people interested. The GBA was obviously a big advancement graphically from the GBC and you can get the feel that they really took advantage with the look of the enviornment to try and use this. We now had weather, certain cutscenes(the Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza fight). While they didn't go as far as BW did, they drastically limited the amount of old Pokemon in the wild. The first Route was 101 I believe, skipping over a number of unused routes to get to that number.
They need to make the gameas far more in line with the anime. In the case of the Pokemon League - it should be just that, a competition style format, where u gotta battle ur way through for the chance to earn the rite to face the E4. Have different kinda challenges, and more towns/cities and more side quests and stuff.
The current games just suck after the E4 is all said and done. Its not much and no real point me carrying out.
the show the announcement will be in is starting in half an hour for anyone who cares
I don't even know how to watch it. It's Japan only yes?
Apparently they've somewhat revealed a new Kyurem forms.. Electric and Fire.
http://serebii.net/index2.shtml
If it's true then I'm guessing the new game will be based around them, similar to Giratina
Yes, it's a show on Japanese Television(on TV Tokyo). But for those who do watch it, the show is an hour long and the reveal will probably be at the end.
!
Those forms of Kyurem seem to resemble Reshiram and Zekrom.
Meloetta is meh nothing special to me.
Seems to heavily support the theory that Kyurem is the left over body of the the original dragon that split into Reshiram and Zekrom
Also 3rd game being pokemon gray centered around Kyurem was really obvious from the moment kyurem was first seen

Not to me. Honestly the only time I felt a pokemon was obvious as the third installment pokemon was Rayquaza.
If Kyurem being the empty body of the dragon that split into Zekrom and Reshiram and if Grey is confirmed and is centered around Kyurem the story would change decently. B and W was about Team Plasma "freeing pokemon from their slave drivers(trainers)" using Zekrom or Reshiram. How would Kyurem fit in? only thing I could think is Team Plasma with the same goal but they try to combine Zekrom and Reshiram with the empty body (Kyurem) to revive the dragon that formed Unova.
With that said I would like to see them make the dragon Zekrom and Reshiram combine to make as a pokemon you can get.
You seriously didn't notice that the was a third similar looking GRAY dragon? Because based on the version names alone Gray was a pretty obvious third version title, and then we got a Pokemon that fit the role perfectly
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
New game is for 3ds
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
Games are Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2, so its actually 2 new games I guess. Out in june in japan
Black 2 and White 2, with what looks like Kyurem fusing with Reshiram and/or Zekrom? Aw yeah.
