A really great chapter - that is for FT standards. Not only Lucy did something, it also felt coherent to the established world-building.
I always thought that Marin's power was way underrated. He felt way more threatening than for example Ajeel.

It somehow negates Jacobs magic when he has already used it, not in the process, but has already successfully completed his magic. Yet it would not have prevented Jacob using his Vanish right afterwards? Seems the only reason he couldnt do it was because of Happy. Seems kinda arbitrary if that is the case.
But I cant totally recall the specifics of apprentices magic

Well, Gemini using Marin's power cancelled out its own summoning power and therefore cancelled the cancellation of powers so that Vanish would have worked again.

well FT could maybe end Late-2016 but i feel a more reasonable estimation is 2017 since we got this arc looking like the Final Arc but… with Aquarius telling Lucy about Her Key getting reforged... we may get another arc or two unless mashima does some sort of timeskip Mini-Arc Epilogue to cover up some loose ends.
So Lucy has like maybe 3 more unseen Star Dress Forms (Scorpio/Cancer/Capricorn)
i wonder if it be possible if lucy could do a Star Dress form with the Celestial Spirit King?

Yeah, too much overexposure and I've gotten the ability with this series to ignore the fanservice. Either that or I've just learned in general to ignore fanservice in general.

I love how he draws women, especially the proportions. When they aren't too exaggerated.
They look a lot more attractive to me than women in OP, for example. Maybe it's because I don't really like tall thin women with big uns.
But getting excited? Only thing that I could get excited about in FT is some tragedy.

Skimming this chapter reminded me of the time that one girl got stripped naked by the Sabertooth Guildmaster. Mashima, you don't fucking get to play up unconsential stripping/objectification of young women as a villainous trait when you CONSTANTLY do the same shit as fanservice for the readers benefit. Its about as hypocritical as if Bleach tried to villainize someone by simply making them apathetic and smug.

Although it's really unfortunate that Mashima's ideas of fanservice are mostly limited to erotic stunts. Tasteless ones at that. He may be good at drawing attractive women, but their styles and personalities are left to be desired. In the other hand, the male characters still need more work. They just turn out either like generic beautiful men or weird cartoon-ish gonks that don't seem to belong in the same dimension. The older characters too often are portrayed so comically short for no apparent reason.
Regarding the chapter, I was all ready to call "bullshit" during the reveal on the few last pages until it's shown to be a troll one. You got me there, Mashima.

She was the chick Erza fought during the Tower of Heaven arc way back when. Was also the first victim of the Nakama Pants power-up iirc

The whole Erza being overpowered due to her injuries, I just dont buy it because she already beat Kyouka after taking a lot of dmg and having no senses back in Tartaros arc.

Erza is having trouble? I remember her finishing everyone with one slash and almost dead, except for Azuma. Wich suddenly remind me that Erza used to fight with a bunch of different armors and wepons once upon a time.
