Yeah, freshen my memory, why did ultear become old, and how did she return to youth? I want the wiki summary after she left the grimmoire guild but without the obsessive full naming of the wiki.

She intended to sacrifice her life in order to rewind time in order to save all the ones who died from the attacking Dragons including Gray. She only managed to rewind time one minute, however, instead of dying she 'only' became old. Now, she's young due to whatever reason we'll get next chapter.

She turned back time when the dragons attacked during the magic games which turned her old.

Does not really matter since i think fairy tail will lose the first round anyways but it depends when Zeref turns good and gives them back the first guild master most likely after he gets owned by Acnologia since he does not have dragon slayer powers so it will not matter if he has unlimited magic or not if you cannot do any damage it does not matter how many times you attack someone.

Theme wise gildartz will most likely face the hitman looking guy. He and Markov will probably be the ones that hold the eastern line.
I didn't remember the whole "a minute rewind" thing. Too many one note plot points to keep track of.

I think the story would have been better if Gildarts had been Acnologia's human form and that he was waiting for Zeref in the naked first guild master area and used Fairy heart on Zeref's face lol.

Gildarts being with Fairy Heart could be a possibility, as a last defense when all else fails.

The whole thing with Ultear feels like a parody when compared to what Sieg Heart did in Rave. The last time she was shown, with FT carriage passing her and Gray almost recognizing her, it felt like closure. Should have known better!

It's amazing how much of Fairy tail I forget about once I'm done reading a chapter. Everything to do with Ultear, that other assistant girl and Kagura's flashback, I managed to push all of it out of my head. Shame this chapter had to remind me about it.

Ultear is back? Her departure as an old woman was one of the well handled plot of FT. At least for me.

Even Naruto and Bleach had characters die, even they in their WEAKEST moments had events and moments that pushed the characters in new directions.
Fairy Tail? FUCK THAT, no change, nothing to upend that status quo. Friendship will save the day all the time and any ANY fucking character development can't change that.

You know what sucks? When you read what awesome power a villain has, just to be reminded that the asspull needed to beat that power will be even greater than anything before.
Also got a question. How does Ultear know which Spriggan to go after? Like if she went after any other Spriggan, Wendy and Sherria are dead.
Its just reminding me of Bleachs latest chapters where protagonists hard counters the villain, and that if only they decided to switch their opponents up, they would roflstomp them.

Ok, but seriously, Ultear´s sacrifice and consequential retirement was pretty much the only thing I enjoyed in the final part of the Tournament Arc.
So yeah, I´m not annoyed or anything, but another solution to counter Dimaria´s magic would be better IMO. -

Not unlike Kubo, Mashima has trapped himself also in cycle of asspull. Senpai did it, so why not follow the example?

Somewhere in the middle of her hammy comeback line, I picked up that she "sensed" anomaly/distortion of time around the area where Wendy and the others were. I expect this fight to be the most boring of all Spriggan fights when the Dimaria's abilities cease to function just with Ultear's interference.

I honestly forgot Ultear sacrificed her youth. Her appearance suddenly also had no impact because the this point in the story anything is possible and nothing matters.

While its BS Ultear is back, I dont mind, she is easily the best girl in FT.
I don't know about that Dio's only lasted 5 seconds while it seems Dimaria last until she removes it.

We probably haven't seen the full extent of her powers. She can probably contain the stopping (slowing?) in a smaller area, or multiple smaller areas, giving a little unpredictability to her attacks. You can say whatever you want about Mashima, but he's not bad when it comes to milking the potential of an ability. Plausible or not.
Plus she should be a better fighter than Ultear, let alone 2 girls in puberty.
Well "should be". We all know she's as good as beaten.

Speaking of lazy, what does Jellal and his harem do when FT is not in action? Feels like he only reluctantly shows up like "Oh you are fighting this enemy which happens do be my enemy so I guess I have to deal with him now."

You mean because Dimaria is from some kind of enemy group which is on a whole different level than all the previous enemies? Do we have any evidence stated in the manga? I really hope that the manga clarifies on this issue and explicitly says it a few times so that we can be sure.

^Mashima has been neglecting to stress that part as of late, but don't worry! We'll get some more statements to make it crystal clear that those enemies are on completely different level.
