Where does this Doflamingo hype come from? Is it because he is one of the oldest unused enemies or what? The guy seems to be almost as hyped as Mihawk.
I keep seeing opinions which state that the only way to beat him would be if Luffy and Law were to have a 2v1 against him.
Same thing with a possible match between Luffy and Burgess, where it seems that most people (correct if I'm wrong), believe that Luffy would be stomped.
Personally I believe that Luffy beating Doffy/Burgess in a clean 1v1 would be a great way to send a signal to the big boys like BB/Kaido, stating that he's back in the game and ready to take down the emperor's. -
I don't know if anyone has mentioned this before. I think Luffy will get the fruit and give it someone beside his crew mate, my bet is the girl who is getting bullied by that spartan.
What do you think? -

@Genocider:
Luffy should better ditch Law as soon as he meets Urouge again.
@No:
How much would I love for Law's role last arc to be instead given to Urouge.
Win. So much. Win. I absolutely agree, Urouge is the man.
If Urouge had taken Law's spot in Punk Hazard, you'd all be bitching about him getting the spotlight too much right now.
I wouldn't be :]
Urouge died during the 2 years
Did you see that Post - Timeskip drawing of the supernovas? They're all alive and kicking
Only because of Urouge, this discussion is the best of this year.
-
If you haven't noticed we know literally nothing about any of the super novas except their powers, they've got extremely interesting designs but are plain as hell right now
the guy you got in your avatar has had by far the most screen time of any of them (besides Luffy and Zoro) and has still managed to be by far one of the most boring One Piece characters ever, compared to the expressionless, bioshen, typical-bleach-character that is Law, Urouge a gigantic fucking guy, who comes from sky Island, seems to be slightly off in the head, has a sense for danger and back in the day could punch a pasifista as far as the monster trio combined, seems like a pretty interesting character
but that's just me
Wait..really? How is law a "typical-bleach-character"? Is it because unlike other characters he doesn't have face faults? or is it because he is one of the very few people who actually has a plan on achieving what they want?
I honestly want to understand what you mean by that statement.
-
It's called the Super Rookie Saga (or whatever) because, before Luffy faces down Kaido ALL the Supernovas will be in an alliance with each other to bring him down. Kaido will be the main antagonist of this saga. :ninja:
Luffy, Kidd, Law, Apoo, Hawkins, Zoro, Killer, Urouge, Capone, X. Drake and Bonney + their crews VS Kaido THE STRONGEST CREATURE IN THE WORLD, his crew, and his Zoan army.
-
I hear Urouge.
The call of Urouge.
Roaring over Law.
Bitch please.
If anyone is gonna ROAR over Law it's gonna be the ROAR of the Sea, Scratchmen Motherfrakken Apoo
And his wife of two years, Hawkins :ninja:–- Update From New Post Merge ---

I've not really been… aware.Tomorrow. We also have one next Wednesday. The Wednesday after that however, we don't.
Goldenweek begins in Japan.

OHYEAH when IS the next chapter out anyhow?
I've not really been… aware.Fucking fuck.
Is this a daily thing now?
-
What does everyone think is going to happen in tomorrow's chapter? More focus on Luffy and Franky, or will it move onto other people and other groups?
-

Considering that the Block Battles have already started, I really doubt we'll move on to other people until they're over.

I actually hope you're right. lol
I'm most interested in the tournament, then whatever is going to happen between Sanji and Violet.

Runs for his life
And about the chapter itself, I hope we see more Tournament madness, I wonder how Law's group is doing, but the Colisseum is getting heated up right now, I want to see what happens there
PS: Who's that sexy guy on your signature Zachri? I saw another gif of him yesterday :U

Pretty sure it will stick with Luffy.
But honestly it could go to any other group and I wouldn't be mad at all. Everyone seems to be involved in something worthwhile this time, which is more than can be said for PH.
-
@Devil:
I lived without regrets
Shame you can't stay alive a little longer, being psychic I forsee you getting in the same bus as Oda in a freaky sequence of a romantic comedy events. He reveals the ending of one piece and gives you a special pin that gives you unlimited credit for any one piece merchandise, all because you didn't scream his name like a fangirl.
Yes I'm a certified psychic, Mewtwo was my professor.

Yeah, Punk Hazard and Fishmen Island kind of share the flaw where, in the end, there isn't much to do beside beat up the big bad. Dressrosa really does seem to have much, much more for characters to do. I hope it remains that way through the end of the arc.
Also, I have to say that it's really, really clever of Oda to use a tournament to keep Luffy busy rather than having him getting stuck in a building or falling down a garbage shoot.
-
@krule274:

Unfortunately Arceus was ghost plate that semester. I hear Mewtwo is better at well rounding your technique, where Arceus is just all about flexing.
-
has anyone else lost interest in sanji's and zoro's sub plot? Their plots feel so insignificant and boring compared to what's happening at the colosseum. I would rather they just finish their plots in half a chapter and run to the colosseum.
-
@LUFFYSMC:
Confused a bit by your reply. Seems almost like you disagree with KC, if not all of his abilities are purely related to straw, as what seemed to be 1 of KC's main points?
How would you explain the getting shot by lasers, and the damage getting put on random people on SA, from straw puppets being sacrificed, if not some weird/ similar to voodoo ability?
I do think Hawkins' DF is entirely based on straw usage, but that doesn't mean that the magical properties that are mythologically associated with straw are excluded (in this case, Voodoo straw dolls). I guess it would be more accurate to say that Hawkins' DF is based more on the concept of Voodoo straw dolls than simply straw (too limited without the Voodoo aspect) or Voodoo (too broad).

Zoro and Sanji aren't competing. Get over it.
Or do you seriously think that Zoro and Sanji staying on the sidelines playing commentators like non-Saiyan DBZ characters is going to be more interesting than subplots involving thieving "fairies" and crazy, vengeful, manipulative Flamenco dancers?
-

I haven't. Zoro is chasing a fairy, supposedly, and they already exist as one of the mythic underpinnings of Dressrosa. I'm really curious as to what Oda has in mind for this potential race of characters. And Sanji… I'm still interested in what's going on with him because this feels like it's a chance for some honest-to-god character development for him. Granted, Oda could go the opposite direction and keep him as THE LOVE COOK 99% of the time, but I'm still interested and hoping he doesn't do that.

lol, very true.
What has me really interested is the prospect of Nami, Chopper, Kinemon and Brook possibly having to go to Zou on their own.
I don't know why they would ever leave the others behind, but Law did give Nami a Vivre Card pointing to Zou just in case, and if the Chekhov's Gun Trope is to be applied here…
-

Somebody clearly missed a few moments… though if the animation is to go by especially with them having fun with Caesar, I reckon the small face faults Law has in the manga may get some exaggeration... here'shoping [/shot]

And that one fellow claiming he had oda's notes, did say that Brook would be able to see the string, so…he might be accurate in that regard.

lol what the heck, straw does not have mythological properties
-
@Monkey:
lol what the heck, straw does not have mythological properties
I think he meant is about straw being used frequently in some religions/mythologies, like Louisiana Voodoo and Haitian Vodou.
Hawkins DF seemingly uses dolls of straw to inflict, redirect, and protect against damage like Voodoo dolls in Voodoo and Vodou religions/mythologies. Heck… He may be able to put curses on people too, "debuff" them so to speak.

@Monkey:
lol what the heck, straw does not have mythological properties
So the scarecrow from "Wizard of Oz" was not mythical? :ninja:

No, probably not.
The armor Rebecca was wearing is pretty common attire for female fantasy warriors.

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to whatever Sanji's going to have going on. Hopefully, it'll be a good chance for him to grow.

There is absolutely no way that they won't end up leaving for Zou on their own. My suspicions are that Doflamingo is probably going to successfully ambush the Caesar delivery team and that will translate to the Sunny Guard team leaving. The other possibility is that Sakazuki decides to launch a straight-forward attack on Luffy/Law/Doflamingo and the only way for that group to keep the Sunny safe from a marine ambush is to leave port and return at a later point.
Or put into a cage.
Or having his feet stuck underwater.
Or thrown into quicksand.
Or eaten by a giant snake.Yeah, I know. Didn't feel like listing out every instance of Oda delaying Luffy, though.

No, no he wasn't lol.
Also I'm pretty darn sure Voodoo doesn't have to use straw for the dolls. It just so happens to be the common form.–- Update From New Post Merge ---

What would be the point to involve the Zou-guys? If the actual members can't finish it, how the hell could the B-team be of any use?

Bro for the past few days you been getting desperate for attention, looking for who to go at it with, but seems like everyone on the "One-way IDGAF(I don't give a fuck) train" while your stuck waiting for one to stop your way. Sad man really sad:sad:
