So how many years till we find out what Kuzan was doing on punk hazard?

MIyamoto has stated that the old man is indeed Fujitora and was asked to come out of retirement to serve once again as an admiral.
Then I thought. What if that old guy was an admiral (which covers the whole Actor resemblance) but he stayed in retirement. The point I'm making is that that old man is a retired admiral spending the last of his days at the beautiful Dressrosa; therefore, he not fujitora nor is he a current admiral
-
So does this cover confirm that the SMILE factory isn't on Kaidou's favorite island? Or is there another factory he uses to make his weapons and stuff?
Also, what in God's green goodness is the point in destroying the factory if they're giving Caeser back? They can just make more! And if they aren't giving him back, then why are they going to Green Pit in the first place? Maybe it's part of Law's plan to see DD again.
-
So Momo punched Luffy in the balls and it hurt. Clearly he has haki :ninja:
-
And Fuujitora is his apprentice. :O

I saw some people hoping for a more fantasical city, or saying that it was a copy paste of Water 7. I feel that the city is as perfect as it is. I think with having puppets and toys as living things, the landscape does not need to be extreme.
(Gotta love Zoro in a suit.:ninja:)
I felt that this chapter was pretty great. Had so much going on. I also really like that a guy who has a marionette like ability has puppets as subjects. I'm curious if that's a normal phenom that occurrs out in this part of the New World and is the new race Oda planned on showing. Or if it's somehow and extension of Dofla's power.
-
I've now made it tradition to wear my Law hoodie on chapter days.

The limits to the old man's (Fujitora?) gravity powers need to be clarified otherwise I'm not sure who would be able to counter such a fruit power. Gravity is a fundamental force, in it's extreme application it engulfs everything absolutely. Would physical strength, such as Zoro's, be enough to counter, to an extent, the force of his ability? Or would Shiki's Fuwa Fuwa no mi be a perfect counter to such an ability? Even many Logia's would be brutally affected by such an ability, I can only guess that Logia's who's elements/forms are non-solid would be free from the gravitational effects - Enel, Ceaser, Mera Mera, Kizaru and Smoker.

No I didn't I said Dressrosa :ninja:
I no hizo nada malo~

As someone said he may not necessarily be Fujitora, but an admiral that was retired (which is why we never saw them up until now), asked to serve again. But what really gives it away is his appearance. The admirals, except maybe Kuzan, all give off a very uncanny appearance because they are drawn far more "realistically" than other characters.
Just compare blind guy in this final panel:
http://mangastream.com/read/one_piece/97608395/20
with Zatoichi here:
http://s131.beta.photobucket.com/user/ponyboy93/media/Shintaro_Katsu_in_Zatoichi_Challeng.jpg.html
But I think we all agree he's probably an admiral. The question is what his power could be. Color-wise I think gravity and space ARE associated with purple/pink in Japan. Pokemon Pearl had a mascot that controlled space, and the boxart and the mon itself were both Pink, so I think it's plausible.
Or it could not be. You never know.
-
This cahpter is great; I am really digging the Spanish Scenery (cant wait to see it in colour). Its not so much the Blind Old Mans identity that bothers me (although I do not think he is Fujitora), so much as what technique he used to pull off that attack. So far, I think its some sort of DF that allows you to change the weight of other things; like an inverse of Ms. Valentines Day's DF.
The groupings during this arc are pretty interesting as well; once again, Usopp is partnered with Robin. Nami is stuck with 2 perverts (one she is oblivious to )and Chopper. Best of all, for once the monster trio is part of an independent group that did not involve some attack. -
Actor Katsu Shintarou and his role as the character Zatoichi.
Not only does he look like it, it's nearly an identical twin lol.
Zatoichi is a blind swordsman with katana-cane and gambling addict. Most definitely. Even as someone who's not that well versed in Japanese movie classics recognized him as a take-off on "blind swordsman" from that same film series.
As to the man who has a 99 and 44/100% chance of being Fujitora, he definitely has some sort of "gravity fruit." Obviously he has some limits in that regard, since he'd basically be a demi-god otherwise, but it certainly looks like he can alter the force of gravity around him at a limited range. Still, it's an extremely exploitable ability that would have few weaknesses.
It's interesting to think of him meeting Mrs Valentine since her ability, weak as it seems, would be a natural deterrent to his fruit ability.

After Egypt (Alabasta), Maya/native Americans (Skypeia), Vienna (Water7), Transylvania (TB), China (Amazon Lily), Dante´s hell inferno (Impel Down), we now get a Spanish theme. In future, we will probably get feudal Japan and a Viking theme, so what do you guys want to see other than that?
-
So Momo punched Luffy in the balls and it hurt. Clearly he has haki :ninja:
Where the hell do you see this? Oo
-
I agree with one guy in the first few pages that the power is ore likely "controlling air" rather than "gravity" as gravity wouldn't make such a hole. Because gravity always has to come from something and can't put pressure on something. On the last page the swordsman would have to control a point far down in the earth which somewhat goes against the theme with devil fruits where the user has to be aware of the thing he controls. And not just it is there but also what it is. Only Enel had a much wider range as he could observe every person on Skypia with Haki and his devilfruit.
And gravity is too much like Blackbeards ability. He can at least draw things to him by increasing his own gravity. Maybe he can also use the blackness he emits to draw something to it.

Skypiea was also based on Heaven.
But, Wano (Feudal Japan) and Elbaf (Viking/Norse) are obvious.
However, Elbaf will probably also have Celtic mythology in it, since Elbaf is Fable backwards.

A Scandinavian theme, maybe.
-
-
You sure you didn't mean to say Venice there?
Haha, yeah, i always confuse the two because vienna is pretty similar to the German "Venedig" which means Venice
-
@Foxy:
Viking is Scandinavian.
Yeah, but something other than just "vikings".

Celtic Theme. With big manly guys with short skirts.
-
An Italian theme might be nice. Not the cliched one involving the typical food but one centering around Italy's history and all its current sights.
-
Hmm, Big Mum will probably have a fairy tale theme, Tamago is French, so we will probably not get a French island. I agree that a Scandinavian theme besides Vikings would be interesting. I would like to see a German theme, especially in the 19th century . A Turkish theme would also be interesting for me and of course a Russian theme.
-
Australian theme, Wild West Theme (America), and… I want the SH's to go to space!!
quién no lo haría~
-
A Polynesian or other type of Pacific Islander theme would be interesting.

Fairies are obviously the ones that make the toys come to life.

Chapter 701: Zatoichi!
-
-
I guess he'll appear in the next chapter then…
-
Anyone else think Luffy and co. disguises looked like the gurousei? I did a double take!
-
Can you guys read the chapter on Mangarule? I get a weird webhost site when i click on MR reader.

Australian theme would be awesome! I'm really sucker for that country fsr.

This wouldn't make any sense. What would he turn into?
Maybe he turns into a Skillrex song to scare his enemies away.
-

I definitely did! and then I just about died laughing

Look at where Luffy's hands are on the second panel.Wow, I'm blind…didn't see it till you showed me :x

Press Press Fruit or Pressure Pressure Fruit. Gravity is taken by BB

@Syntax:
Press Press Fruit or Pressure Pressure Fruit. Gravity is taken by BB
BB's fruit is Darkness, not gravity.
Great chapter! Gonna have to re-read later tonight to get all the details. :)

I would like to see:

Fable Theme
Modern Theme (maybe against Revolutionaries, Strawhats vs Tanks)
Robotic Theme (builds upon Vegapunk's island, full blown robots)
Hell Theme
Indian Theme
Middle Eastern Theme
Caveman Theme -
Surprised that so many people are convinced that the old man is Fuujitora

Impel Down .
I saw it more as a prison theme, but fair enough

water 7 was a fusion between Venezia and Firenze (Venice and Florence)
-
Surprised that so many people are convinced that the old man is Fuujitora
Fine, I'll bite, in brief.
The old man is clearly modeled after a Japanese actor. This is really quite undeniable.
Likewise not up for debate are the two facts that: 1) every admiral shown thus far up to this point in One Piece has been modeled after a Japanese actor, and 2) every character shown thus far up to this point in One Piece that has been modeled after a Japanese actor has been an admiral.
Yes. Yes. We know, everyone knows, that we don't, technically speaking, know it is Fujitora until it is revealed one way or another. But the above is incredibly fuzzing strong evidence for him being, so no, I don't really see why you're so surprised that most people have come to that conclusion, at all.
