Yeah, I want whatever will keep it alive the most. It didn't have the power of Hunter X Hunter to clearly survive any hiatus so I was worried, but SQ should be perfect.
The world is triggered…

I don't know what Ashihara did to get to be in hiatus for 2 years without making Yu yu kakusho before, but I'm glad he'll be back.
Granted I'd rather if the authors stoped this cycle of decay and put their foot down to make 2 or 3 chapters a month, or to banish Boruto into a montlhy publication, for OCD reasons.
I read World Trigger back in spring, I liked it very much, I wonder if the manga will manage to keep momentum without the rank wars structure, but I'd guess it needs to move on in order to avoid too much repetition as well.
The invasions marked long departures of that structure and it worked fine tho. The second bothers me a little more NOW that in hindsight I don't remember that many people who participated on it, while I remember the first invation a lot better.

He was in 2 years hiatus due to the health issue.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
It is announced that World Trigger going to resume on Issue 48 of Shounen Jump (up til Issue 52). After Issue 52, it'll officially going to move to Jump SQ.

So five chapters (that have probably already been done during the hiatus) weekly and then a monthly publication?
I think WT would actually work in monthly format pretty well, though hopefully maybe if the author stays healthy she might resume weekly chapters again in the future.Well its good news either way to have WT back, even though I very much disliked the last chapters.

Nice, that's not terribly long from now. I'm unfamiliar with SQ. Are chapters 20 pages or is it up to the creator?

It is generally between 31 to 45 pages.

I don't think that'll happen.

I guess the anime version helped.
That's awesome news. Now I have a reason to catch up on last 20 or so chapters.
-
That is really really good news! I'm very happy for it! I just hope the VIZ WSJ picks it back up, even after going monthly. They do series like Ao no Exorcist and Seraph of the End, after all, so they might as well keep doing a series they did in the past.
-
Considering that the.. Leterist? The one that places the words into the bubbles after being translated, and decides the font and size of them, Analisse, tweeted some of the news, and was super hyped, we'll get it back.

These are fantastic news. Moving to monthly magazine is also a great idea so he can stay healthy.
I reread it all some months ago but I would probably do it again in the near future. -
[
I](https://ibb.co/i7zQaq)t is now official! Awesome!
-
so we are supposed to have 1 or 2 more Rank Battles before we have they choosing who will be aboard the mission to Ankfartora (I know I spelled it wrong, hue)…right? It's what I recall...I believe we have Hyuse for the first time playing with the team. I'm excited.
-
I am looking foward to everyone reaction to Osamu´s team new ace.
-
https://mangadex.org/chapter/469752/1
Hyped for that battle. I'm convinced they'll win but I expect something to go wrong and T-2 not winning as easily as they should having 2 top tier attackers.
It will be interesting to see.
-
Just finished the reread to read the chapter.
There's the Kage (empathy guy team) sniper who is a wild card, but Osamu doesn't know that
<sleep and="" win="">team is ready to counter them
The last info that was feed into Osamu was "Chika doesn't want to shoot, and that is different to won't shoot" and that Hyusei won't follow orders unless he 100% agrees with them, that could cost them dearly if in a split second decision they decided to help him (as sleep and win is already capable of beating Yuma, and already lost his quota of limbs for that match, so Hyusei would be the safer bet to get more points)</sleep>
-
Man I missed this shit :)
-
The only thing with reading World Trigger chapter by chapter is that I kinda need the character chart.
While I remember the participants, as they are all repeats, I'm blanking on the anouncers.
Well, the guy with the hair annoyingly like Jin's I remember, He's the stern girl's captain, but the guy with the suit doesn't look like one of the Ninomiya squad, by his combat suit shaped suit. But checking is that he was super serious back then.
I managed to catch up thanks to WSJ putting the chapters just after the end of the invasion up to now for free (volume version of them even!) but the A rankers have only acted on the invasions. Without the first invasion fresh I forgot about Kitora's captain.
-
Aahhh, it´s finally back. Cool chapter before the actual match, my favorite part was Hyuse using "us" to recall something that happened in a match when he wasn´t a member yet, it´s a little detail, but I really liked it. On the other hand I hope that Osamu´s bad feeling doesn´t end being a big deal.
-
super excited for the rank battle! so many strong guys (Ko, kage, azusa, Emma, hyuse and Yuma).
I kind of didn't like the fact that they got to change triggers when the map was announced because they are supposed to surprised and ready for anything
-
The free re-read was just after the first invasion to now, while I got the underwater kill by using the scorpion as dolphin tail, the little hop of epicness, the friendly fire slash of subverting prophecy, the "I KILLED A CHILD, nope lol", all of Hyuse's and Jotaro's fistbumps and Osamu's gradual improvements, I still miss the invation, or Kuga moping the floor with the C rank, and A rank.
-
Question to anyone. Assuming you were a normal earth trigger users, what would your 8 triggers be?
-
seems like attackers have an advantage on this map especially kage with his side effect.
SPOILER from chapter 166
I am excited to see hyuse use another trigger, which based on his neighbor trigger, he will prob be really good at using.
-
SPOILER from chapter 166
If you post the link to the new chapter https://readms.net/r/wt/166/5456/1 Then you can talk about it afterwards while letting people read it first. You wouldn't have to mark spoilers, but some people still do so in the first post or two to let people read it without giving anything away.
I expect Hyuse will have a little trouble. His previous trigger allowed simultaneous attack, defense, tracking, and ranged capabilities. With the earth triggers he can only do two at once.
-
https://readms.net/r/wt/167/5468/1
! Well, Osamu is in trouble, if no one helps him I can´t see how he can get away from the whole Azuma´s team. Also, Zoe´s choices for guns are pretty great, there is something really cool about a friendly round guy shooting at people with an automatic weapon.
-
! A black kogetsu? That's interesting. I don't know if the Raygust is disappearing or not, which would indicate if BK is a mix of two triggers
! Apart from that, my guess is that Suzunari is going to take a page from Tamakomas 4th battle and try to blow the building with everyone inside. -
https://readms.net/r/wt/169/5495/1
Nice tactics regarding the lights by Suzunari-1. And Kuga and Hyuse are ready to let loose!
-
Go Zoe!
Well, to monthly now. I can't say that I'm going to miss it as I caught up on the hiatus, but I'm going to miss it.
-
I wonder why the snipper didn´t notice that the Escudos that shielded him weren´t from his allies, they got Tamakoma´s symbol on them. On the other hand, Hyuse being so petty to use the same move that Jin used on him is pretty funny.
Also I hope monthly releases end being good for the author´s health.
-
Such a good chapter. Too many things I liked to list.
It looks like we are about to see what a Dummy Beacon trigger does in battle (I'm assuming that's what Azuma is using in his panel).
-
All I got to say is: TRIGGER OOOOOOOOON!
-
is world trigger on break or hiatus? I am kind if surprise how unpopular/underrated this manga is
-
It was stated that the series has moved to a monthly magazine.
-
I can get a screenshot later but apparently it's staying in SJ monthly like Boruto.

Nope, it moved to Jump SQ.

This is how it ended last week. Implying it will be kept Boruto-style, in the VIZ version.

If you're talking about Viz version, then it is just changing to monthly. In Japan, it changed the magazine.

Yes, I know both. What I was saying was that VIZ is giving it the Boruto treatment. That's all.

It would be better to state if people were talking about Viz or Japan before hand.

C'mon, that's ignoring the fact that most people in this forum are westerners who contact with manga through scanlations, VIZ, or other localizations. It makes no difference which magazine it is, what matters is the schedule.

I'm not sure about that. I think you also ignoring that there are lots of people who follow by raw as well. Plus, it'll make confusing for people who follow Jump toc. I know the schedule is what matters, but it isn't like big job asking to label either Viz or in Japan.

I ask ye to stop this pointless discussion and ask you to accept these facts:
1.- World trigger will not be in Weekly Shonen Jump
2.- Wolrd trigger will still be in english Weekly Shonen Jump
3.- World trigger will be in Jump SQ, a monthly magazine, from next issue onwards, hopefully until it ends
4.- World trigger is a great series that deserves to reach it's natural end. -

I really hope no. 4 becomes a fact, instead of it becoming a sort of Gin no Saji which entered its final arc I don't even know how many years ago and just publishes 3 or 4 chapters every once in a while and promptly goes back into hiatus for god knows how long…
-
That one is silver spoon right? Wasn't Arakawa also doing an ancient war manga as well?
-
Yep, Silver Spoon. A series I was totally absolutely surprised I liked. Nay, I loved! It's about a damn agricultural high school. And it was awesome. Until it became the new HxH.
Yep, the woman is doing Arslan Senki, which I recently picked up and which is also damn friggin awesome. But the could dedicate a year to concluding Silver Spoon, for Christ's sake, and then keep doing Arslan. Anyway, Arakawa is definitely one of my top 3 mangaka.
But to be back on topic, I sincerely hope WT does not follow in the footsteps of disappearing into the mists of time and reappearing every once in a while, and stays on a regular schedule.
-
2 chapters are out!
https://readms.net/r/wt/170/5519/1?mobile=1
I don't understand why they let one point get away
-
Awesome chapters! Ashihara is on fire since his return.
That teamwork between the 2 aces was great and the way Hyuse used the Escudos was awesome. That map choice turned out to be a huge advantage for him.
A little sad about 2 things: no Hyuse in the cover (not really surprising actually but I would have been fine if he replaced Jin just this time) and Kageura being defeated that way (one of the rare time in this manga where I would have liked a more classic 1vs1). I'm biased because Kage is one of my favorite characters. Still looked great in defeat and Zoe has really grown on me in this battle.
I can't wait to read the rest of the battle and see what Hyuse has in mind, what Chika will do, what Azuma has planned with his dummy beacon (my guess on what that "ball" thing is) and if Osamu's bad feeling become real or not.
So far, the fight is too much in their favor for that to continue much longer.
-
Yah, Zoe is my favorite, his "oh, shucks I'm dying, time to explode" tactics, and how he just does things straigthforwardly is refreshing.
-
I find pretty funny how petty Hyuse is, Jin screwing him with Escudo really let a mark on him, huh. On the other hand all that Escudo´s spamming made me remember an online game called S4 League, good times.
Also it was really nice to see Zoe being cool and competent, last match he wasn´t able to show off because of Ninomiya.
-
With Viz's big JUMP overhaul, World Trigger is now going to be actually-for-real simul!
Meaning, free to read on viz dot com the instant Jump SQ is out in Japan (usually the 4th of every month; or the 3rd if the 4th is a Sunday, afaik). -
Latest 2 chapters are out in Viz's JUMP.
Awesome stuff as always. Listing what I liked would be listing almost everything.
! I certainly didn't expect Chika's first "kill" to come like that lol.
I can't see T2 not winning this round without the survival bonus. They might lose 1 more teammate to highlight Okudera/Koarai's growth but that wouldn't really matter in their goal of becoming 2nd.
This would make the last round (against Ninomiya and Yuba would be my guess) interesting if they have to defend a position instead of chasing one. How will that affect their strategies ?
I expect the round to end in next month's chapters. I can't wait.
