It's just a matter of time the battles take galactic scale if thing keep this way.
Toriko II: Ichiryuu's Slimy Insides!!

-
we definitely need spaceship battles
-
Ichiryuu vs Midora isn't going to be offscreen. Nobody ever skips fight scenes like that. It'd be the equivalent of Orochimaru vs Hiruzen being offscreened. We'll see it in a flashback in 50 chapters or whatever.

Due to the fact that the fight between Oro and Hiru didn't have either ssj mode nor lazers I don't see how it resembles the peak of strenght in the naruto universe. So I personally wouldn't compare them.
-
I hope Komatsu stays kidnapped. Gives the opportunity for Brunch to stick with the kings and cook more.
-
Ok, I wasn't expecting friggin ICHIRYUU to be off-paneled.
-
It seems I was wrong, Starjun didn't held back a lot. It's just Toriko has become a lot stronger. How many ingredients did he eat before this fight? A lot, and each evolved his gourmet cells, while Starjun was doing nothing and didn't eat anything that was compatible with his cells.
It's understandable why Toriko did manage to put up a good fight. And also because Starjun took so long to get a partner who had Food Luck.
To put it short, Starjun had been stagnating.
-
Starjun was really holding back instead. The only moment when he risked his life was when Toriko Gourmet Cells monster showed and pierced through Star stomach.
However he grew a lot after the end of the fight (and maybe Joa sensed this and claimed him as the second in power among the Bishokukai's member). -
Yeah, I know that, hence why I said he didn't hold back a lot, but he still held back, and the barrage he throws at Toriko at the end of the fight is proof of it.
-
Komatsu, if you don't watch out your new gay Sanjiyan's gonna make you a zombie.
-
My guess is that Komatsu is going to get free of Starjun via some all or nothing bet/feat. In where the bet is something along the lines of:
If Komatsu wins, he's transported back to Toriko.
If Komatsu loses, he has to sincerely help Starjun and not attempt escape (even if Toriko were to show up).
In a sense, I imagine it'll be Komatsu engaging in a higher stakes game than what he did with Zebra. He seems to be decent at that sort of thing.
-
Everyone wants with Komatsu. What a well regarded chef he is in this world….it must be that nose. About Ichiryuu being offpaneled, I`m really not convinced that he was; storywise, offpanelling a monumental player like him would mainly be used as a plot twist in a whole array of directions, the lack of panel time, is indeed the biggest clue that something fishy is going on. Believe me, there is more to what meet the eyes.
-
One of the aspects I don't like about this manga is the "Everyone Dickrides Komatsu" theme.
I kind of wish the guy could just stick with Toriko, and Coco/Sani/Zebra could get cooks like Branchi, Tairan, and the Strange Cooking lady. -

And still no sign of Coco…
-
I could see Take helping Komatsu to escape just to keep his position as Star's combo partner
-
Well with the spicy meteor rain it would really surprise me that the old have survive. For me spicy meteor is the old's guy gourmet cell being recycle in a fancy way. I mean I doubt he would send such a meteor to the human to say he's not okay.
But Starjun was resisting Jirou knocking? It seems kind of strange to me. I mean if a plant can restrain Setsuno. Jirou should be able to knock that kid.

I'm just thinking that it's because Starjun was flying on his pet so he wasn't affected by the attack.
I'll also throw in my 2 cents in after giving it some thought. Ichiryuu isn't dead, I'd like to think Shima has enough sense to not go that far to kill him, but he should be critically injured from the battle. Anything less than that would make the cliffhanger attack silly. I realized I used the damage from the Four Beast arc as an example as to why Ichiryuu losing might not be that bad, but the damage to a place with tons of chefs seems pretty severe (and like I said, if this attack turns out to not be that big of a deal either damage wise to the Stadium, that just makes this last cliffhanger silly as well).
Since i did say I'm trying to be less critical on stuff, I will say that given Teppei's current predicament, at least that two page spread with him served on a plate actually becomes more significant than just a stupid illusion from food intimidation copout, regardless if Teppei's just brainwashed (like I think), or if he's really "dead" and this is some former shell of Teppei (a clone or something though that I think people have also considered though just seems really dumb to me)
-
The spice is sure going to do tons of damage. Unlike with the Fourbeast there is no pac-man that can store humans, and if we go by Starjun's words this is an attack the likes to run away from. Despite all this you can expect any chef with minimal relevance to survive this. Particularly any chef above the rank 30 and others who are a tad below but relevant to the plot aniway.
Now, ways to survive this critical situation, many: For Toriko we have Terry and her speed, Queen can wrap around Sunny, Zebra can cast a sturdy barrier, others like Brunch has his lightfast speed.
As for Coco, the chance he's inside Grinpatch's gut increased, otherwise he's going to be killed off by the meteors.
The trump card is Kuriboh. The way he vanished in comparison to Tokage wrapping around Shigematsu confirms he's the double agent.
Lastly, I think Jirou's world knocking triggered Midora's response.

Meteor Spice is Midora's technique, not Ichiryuu's.
@desa:But Starjun was resisting Jirou knocking? It seems kind of strange to me. I mean if a plant can restrain Setsuno. Jirou should be able to knock that kid.
Starjun was flying with his pet, he wasn't touched by Jirou's Grand Knocking.

I think there will be more survivors than we could think. There are a ton of people who could escape and save other people, like Jirou, Setsuno, Buranchi, Zebra and other chefs.

Don't forget Kiss. He could sense where Coco is and go and take him.
I don't think Coco is inside Grin, this would be too odd.
Anyway there, like I wrote before, there are people who can escape and take other people to a safer place.
@Nekketsu:The trump card is Kuriboh. The way he vanished in comparison to Tokage wrapping around Shigematsu confirms he's the double agent.
Yep, Kuriboh seems to be the double agent. But I'm waiting for someone else, maybe Shigematsu himself.
@Nekketsu:Lastly, I think Jirou's world knocking triggered Midora's response.
Yes, I think the same.

Well yeah, the thing in Toriko is that humans are also animals so it's pretty normal for some beasts to have the same powers as humans (or the other way around to be precise).
Remember the thing about appetite energy ?Nice find though.

Good catch! Although it could've just been Toriko's ability to sense immediate danger. But just as well an "image"…

@Galaxy:
118:
118 preview?!? 117 hasn't even aired yet!
However I did finally get to watch 116 last night, and I have to admit it was the greatest Toriko episode to-date!! The way they handled the drama and build up was epic!! This arc reminds me so much of DBZ Cell Saga!!
When they showed the Four beasts eyes under the city at the end I was like WOOHOO!!!!! A lot more exciting then it was reading the manga!! Can't wait for the rest!!
-
Galaxy always gives us the preview that is aired at the end of this week´s episode.
Hoping we get to see the chefs on the preview for next episode. CCan´t wait for Livebearer to be back <3 and to see Tairan.
-
Guys, we have early spoilers for One Piece and Naruto. About Toriko nothing at all yet?
-
! 1.5 year timeskip maybe? I've read something like that in a 2ch thread.

The eclipse is 5 months from now, so no.

Im guessing tonight maybe?
Hope we get to see the aftermath of the unseen fights.

Wait
has youtube changed it so the thumbnail for an embedded video doesn't show up ?

It works for me.
-
I can't believe we still don't have any spoiler advice about the new chapter.
I think we'll have some news about Ichiryuu and Midora. And Toriko? What will happen to him? Ok, Komatsu hit him with some Dark Technique but legs and arms can't regrow this easy.
-
Spoilers were leaks from the Chinese official translation of naruto and one piece.
RAWs will probably be unaffected.I'm guessing Toriko can reattach his leg because it was a cut.
-
I sorta understand now why they are called "Dark Techniques". Not only heal wounds but also make you stronger, but for the later to happen you must be on verge of dying.
Starjun met the requirements and this is the result, the awakening of his inner demon aka the physical form of his gourmet cells. The Nitros Zebra beat to a pulp too.

I
am
scared!
No translation ?

No thanks for the spoilers, Skadi? :(
! Basically:
! Atashino´s head is on the ground. Melk has a giant hole on his torso and a bleeding arm
! Midora is on a chair complaining about his battle wounds, and Joa shows up with Kuromado´s head. Star shows up too.
! Jirou becomes giant, something about the meteors.
! I can´t understand the rest and I´m not 100% sure about Melk -
! is this spoiler confirmed yet
-
Got them from mangabird, they say they´re confirmed. The spoilers for other mangas were legit.

That's not how gravity works once you are on the surface of the planet. Once you start digging down you are closer to the core, but also leaving behind a large amount of land that pretty much makes up for it by pulling you in the other direction.
Plus, "several times" your weight is also wrong even if all the mass of the earth was at the center as it's suggesting, since even if you were to halve the distance between you and the center (meaning all the mass is at the center, and now you are 1/2 of the earth radius from it)… it would only be 4 times your weight.
If what this page talks about was true, going in a plane or to mount Everest would make you weight several times less.
I know I know, its a manga full of crazy shit, but he used "physics" to say why he felt heavier. -

It's a different universe so hopefully Shima will corrects it by saying most of the mass is at the center of the planet or something.
-
! not the Melk.
-
! Please don't fucking tell me Shima killed off Kuromado, offscreen, without him ever getting to do anything at all ?
-
Why this all happened off screen assuming the spoiler is the real one , i start losing faith in this manga
-
No, I refuse to believe that.
! Tommyrod got two full length fights and was allowed to go out with dignity, and both Grin and Star are still kicking around. So I refuse to belive the guy higher up on the ladder just got killed offscreen after having literally showed up three times for a totall of maybe six pages in this series so far.
! I will not. -

! Well, if Shima really killed Atashino, Kuromado and Melk offscreen this will be at the same time great and disappointing. Great because these are major killing, disappointing becausa these are (were?) some major characters. These are (again, were?) great characters with something to say and to show us. Two 0th Biotope and one of Bishokukai higher rank characters skipped without (apparently) any explanation. Plus Ichiryuu vs. Midora. What the hell? I think this series has immense potential but the author cannot skip those main events. Damn! Yeah, Tommy had 2 full fights, 2 really awesome full fights and now he's dead. But this is really good. Starjun has his fights and these were good too (considering Starjun will be a major figure in the future too). Elg had his fight too. I don't give a a fu*k about Jerry Boy (though I'd like to see him give a shoot) but…Barry Gamon and Bogey Woods too had their fights. And someone like 0th Biotope guys and Bishokukai higher ranks not? This disappoints me :(
I'm starting to think maybe Shima doesn't know what kind of power had these guys, so he killed them offscreen :( -
-
That spoiler is fake.
Oh really? Thank God, I'm relieved :) (after all I wrote )
But…where are the real spoilers then?
