Brilliant cover, I hope its Jinbe who joins the crew instead of Weakyhoshi.
But I was dissapointed that Hodi wasn't in the cover. Want to see how he looks like in color.I also wanted to see him in Oda's colors. I'm guessing we'll most likely be seeing him on the next cover, otherwise there's something fishy going on here.

Every main arc villain got so far his own cover so it`s pretty sure that Oda will give him the next cover…i guess he wnats to present him to us in his "monster"-form.

You guys remember the whole 'Paulie is gonna be the next crewmember and Franky ain't'? That's when until his flashback and more volume cover arts showing him with the Straw Hat Pirates is shown.
We saw Jinbei's past and he lost a loved one, Fisher Tiger (who act as an older brother to him and Arlong) but we didn't see how he looked like in his childhood, same for Brook.
Not to mention about Jinbei's dreams too (possibly his dream is to see the Humans and Fishman/Mermaid getting along and living together in the future)
EDIT: Oops, Jinbei's childhood was indeed shown. Don't know when but I found this. Most likely on SBS.

No,his Scar is there definitely just open it in a windows photo gallery and zoom in it's hard to see but you can make out the lightning bolt scar.

Seriously? Usopp got a page telling how his mother died when he was young, his father was always out pirating and then he lied a lot. Jinbe had both of the people he looked up to the most slip between his fingers and die. Plus he's also a confirmed orphan, even if they didn't dwell on that. And you also assume Jinbe's story is done

just one thing, usopp start telling lies like "pirates are coming" so his mother believed yasopp was back and recovered from her sickness, he tried to help his mother with the only thing he could do,lie; that made up for the shortness of it. true that we haven't see jinbe's full backstory yet, i'm convinced of that

^^how he got his scar and how he met whitebeard, he didn't even mention him in the flashback, what has happened with the rest of his crew (Aladdin etc)? Fishman karate dojo (we haven't even seen it in the present and jinbe has trained there for sure),etc….
I'm not saying we'll have another 8 chapters flashback, but i'm sure we'll get one like brook's, 2 or 3 chapters long. -

because oda intentionally erased it for the flashback, we know after tiger died and before jinbe became a shichibukai the fishamn pirates didn't do anything else than fight, and yet he didn't get it there.
Then he became a shichibukai, get pardon from the WG, and he could stay in fishman island without having to fight, unless the WG required it. He still didn't have the scar.
Next time we know about him is when he fought ace, then jinbe already had his scar

I figure when we discover the mysteries about that "certain kingdom" he used to be apart of, we will know then. Anytime Oda say's something like that you know it's going to get fleshed out later.
The only difference between Brook and Jinbe is Brook had his scar long before his flash back began, so I think we can look forward to something more, back before his first death. With Oda treating Jinbe's scar so much differently it does give credit to the theory that there is some significance behind it.

PS. Did the volume come out last week or this week? Might be the reason why the SBS translation still isn't out.

Scars are a given when you're a pirate or soldier. The only ones that matter are the big ass scars that zoro and luffy got.
And where is my sbs summary? I need to know what dirty jokes Oda came up with this time. Because as we know, he can't do a seperate issue where he comes up with nonsense answers. He has to do 70% dirty jokes, 20% info that we know already, and 10% relevant info.

In SBS volume 62 Oda said that Killer ate his meals with his mask on, so he had pasta as his main meal every day.
Even as a kid he was still eating the stuff.
