is my top 5 favorite anime shows. I love this show! I'm a new big fan. I really, really hope we get season 4 dubbed by Funimaiton. I only watch anime shows dubbed and I don't buy manga cuz I like to watch better than read. Anyways I watched 3 episodes of the beginning of the Arlong Arc and it was great better than the other 30 episodes I saw from the beginning. Does this show keep getting better and better or what? Or are there boring parts in the show in the future? So far every arc gets better and better I hope that doesn't change! I finished the episode where Nami stabs Usopp. Season 4 voyage 1 plz come out soon! I wanna collect the whole show. How long will this show last!? It's great! I thought Fullmetal Alchemist was good but this show may beat that. It may even beat my real favorite series like Cowboy Bebop and Berserk and Last Exile and Ghost in the Shell SAC. Anyways just posting how much I appreciate this series…thanks
Ok I just started watching the Arlong Arc and this One Piece series is my top 5….
-
-
why the hell do you keep coming back like this?
you apparently - if you're only in the Arlong Park Arc - don't even know what Season 4 has in it
honestly, why would you care so much if you're not that far?
-
The series keeps getting better and better.
And its going to last for 20 or 25 years before its done.
And you should try reading the manga on this one, its better than the anime by far. The anime cuts a lot of stories and pads out the pacing with a ton of filler later. It was pretty good through Arlong, but it gets way rougher later.
-
How rougher does it get? Also it cuts a lot of the stories? Why would they do that?
also are the fillers great too or do they suck? Also when does the first filler come up what episode? Thanks
-
There are a few chapters of filler in Loguetown(next arc) and after that there is a filler arc which delay
! the arrived to Grand Line and create some inconsistencies, besides the explanation about
! Calm Belt is inside the filler arc, so if you skip it you could have some doubts later about
! How the marine enter in Grand Line, or the seakings -

An anime-only. Dub only fan? Wow. One Piece must be awesome to keep fans like that.
-
Hhmm…the Along Park arc is exceptional and yes it gets better. Also google torrents or animcrazy or something so that you wont have to wait for years to catch up.
...actually you'll never catch up at Funis current rate.

Thanks for telling me the arcs and episodes of Filler. I just wrote it down. So of all the filler the best one is the 196-206 arc? Why didn't they include episode 206 in the 10 episode Season 3 Voyage 5 arc? I don't get it…

I'd just go with Japanese language on this one, bronii-chan. Don't you want more? Don't you wanna be updated and be able to discuss it with other people? Also… ahem... Funimation isn't allowed to dub past 206. The Japanese company took away their rights to do so temporarily/permanently (I don't know which).

Another good filler is the TorikoxOne Piece crossover he mentioned. Episode 496.

Lil Kis, wasn't it you that said in the FUNimation forums that Fairy Tail is the best Shonen series compared to Bleach, Naruto, and One Piece, due to FT's short fights? Did you put OP at the bottom of the list?
-
No it's currently my favorite Shonen series. But I think Fairy Tale may beat it because there aren't many drawn out fights for like 7 episodes straight. I never saw Bleach or Naruto because people told me their terrible shows and reviewers stated how much filler they have that is terrible or something I think. The only Shonen series I watch are One Piece and upcoming Fairy Tail.
I also see you like Boondocks how good is the 3rd season? I only saw and bought seasons 1 and 2… thanks

Lolwut.
Way to make things up. Funimation acquires rights to episodes in groups. This is done for all anime. For all dubbing companies. Funimation has the rights to episodes 1-205. They do not have the rights to any further episodes yet, and are supposedly still in negotiations with Toei (though some people think an acquisition announcement is coming soon).
Their rights to dub it weren't taken away.

WOW… You're listening to reviews Naruto and Bleach are both very good series go watch them for you're self. One piece does continue to get better, please do you're self a favor watch it in Japanese!

Yeah I deleted my other post, I meant to delete that one. Oh well.

Well I just finished watching episode 37 and this Arlong Arc is by far the best arc in the series so far. So far not that many fight scenes that seem pointless. Also Nami's past was the best one yet and the saddest. It was funny seeing that Cow fish drag Luffy's Ship to Koyashahi Village or whatever it's called. This series just gets better and better so far. I hope the filler's ain't that bad either. Also again I hope that season 4 gets dubbed in america by funimation. I don't know why they wouldn't because this show is a qualtiy show and it sells well right? This show is better than I expetced it to be after seeing the Arlong Arc. I got so many anime shows to watch I bought a lot. I got episodes 38-205 of One Piece to watch and When They Cry, Ghost Hound, Eden of the East show and movie, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Monster, etc.
This is a great year of anime for me. I know some of these shows are old but I bought them and haven't watched them yet. I'm going to continue watching One Piece until season 1 ends then I will take a break from it and watch these other shows. Anybody seen these other shows I mentioned? Are they good at all? I know they got good reviews caused I checked on them beofre I bought most of them.
Also is Naurto and Bleach worth watching? Are they at all better than One Piece? I doubt that but I'm just wondering. Because their more popular than One Piece in america right? What is Naruto and Bleach even about? I will be getting Fairy Tail though when that comes out! That sounds like a anime I will love. Anyways thanks
-
Go check out "Naruto" and "Bleach" if you're curious, although AP Forums may not be the best place to discuss them.
-
Actually this is the single best place to discuss Bleach and Naruto. No bullshit, we're completely honest about it.
To put a long story short, Bleach is the single worst shonen series running and Naruto is just terrible despite a good/decent first half.
-
Okay then, AP Forums may not be the best place to discuss "Naruto" and "Bleach" unless you don't like them. Personally I don't see the point in discussing something that's unlikeable, continues to be unlikeable, and perpetuates discussion on not liking something.

Watch the first half of Naruto and the end of the Soul Society arc in Bleach.
Those are the only good parts.
One Piece is better than the both of them.
The reason they are so popular is because people think Ninjas and Shinigami "omg Japan" are so awesome. -

Have YOU read Naruto or Bleach? If you have, you should know why we do this.
And don't try to make us out to be some kind of "we hate Naruto and Bleach because we're on a One Piece forum" type of people. There are many logical reasons to dislike Naruto and Bleach. I'm literally one of a few writers for a blog on why Bleach is so attrocious.
Besides we're not as jaded as you think we are. We do give credit where credit is due. Like the Killer Bee flashback chapters, while poorly timed, were met with some actual praise from us.
-
Bleach is utter crap.
Naruto(the first series) is pretty good. Just whatever you do, don't watch Naruto Shippuden. -
I am 180 chapters into Naruto and it's already starting to feel a little stale. This does not bode well for me ever catching up with it (or wanting to continue it). I still maintain that the Zabuza arc is one of the best short shonen arcs I've ever had the pleasure of reading.

Woah no need to to jump to conclusions.
I check out "Naruto" once in a while out of curiousity, not lately though. I don't follow it regularly so I can't so for sure how I feel about it but it seems decent enough. I don't check out "Bleach" though because every time I have in the recent past it turns out being bad for the reasons other people have mentioned to me before.
And that's exactly why I think it's pointless to talk about. Manga is meant for entertainment, why would you want to discuss it if it's not entertaining?
-
We do get entertainment out of series like Bleach and Naruto. It's just not entertainment on the behalf of the creators. A good schadenfreude.
I don't see why you seem to be confused on why people continue to read these series. We've been reading them for years and it only takes minutes (or in Bleach's case, half a minute) to read the most recent chapter. It's the same kind of Mystery Science Theater 3000 entertainment one gets out of bad movies. It's not pointless at all. In fact I have much more fun poking fun at Naruto and Bleach than I do reading other better series some weeks.
-
I liked Bleach for the first few arcs, but then I honestly didn't have a fucking clue what was going on anymore. It just evolved into repetitive battles, loads of unmemberable Spanish terms and two page spreads of big monsters/monster forms.
Are they still trying to get back Rukia?
-

I was never under the impression it was a case of "it's so bad it's good". I've asked that before and was told that "Naruto" is just bad, plain and simple. If "Bleach" is still the same as it's been since I last read it and there's probably nothing worth discussing.

Well no.
To sum up, Ichigo fought Aizen, with both characters pulling new super form transformations out of their asses, with Ichigo firing a sword beam so supposedly powerful it takes away his powers afterwards. Aizen survives but Urahara shows up out of buttfucking nowhere and seals Aizen in swords of revealing light. Ichigo's friends ditch him after this.
This current arc occurs after a pointless timeskip and has Ichigo trying to regain his powers while ripping off the Chapter Black saga of YuYu Hakusho. So same Bleach bullshit different arc, more plagiarism.
At least it seems Bleach may get canceled within the year though if this keeps up.

Heheh, I guess it comes down to personal opinion in whether or not something is "so bad it's good". I have a few friends that have stopped reading Naruto and Bleach just because they got so heinous (Robby doesn't read Naruto anymore, let that speak for itself). So everyone's threshold for taking in weekly bullshit is a bit different I suppose.
The real difference between Naruto and Bleach is Naruto at least functionally works as a manga and can pull out a good chapter every blue moon. Bleach doesn't even have either of those. Bleach's pacing is so terrible it makes the animated adaptation of Dragon Ball look lightning fast. Both are hilariously dumb and have enough plotholes to fill blackburn, lancashire though.
-
Ok thanks for the replys. I won't get Naurto or Bleach. I will be getting season 4 of One Piece when it's dubbed by Funimation and I will get Fairy Tail when it comes out dubbed by funimaiton. Thanks
-
Not trying to dissuade you from purchasing Fairy Tail this Fall, but if I was you I'd start it with the manga before viewing the anime. The anime is good now, but at the beginning for the first 20 something episodes or so, it was very bad. The only good thing was the music and most of the voice acting. They ended up deleting manga scenes too.
And Boondocks is good, Season 3 is better than Season 2. If you want to discuss that, send me a PM.
-
Dang I thought Fairy Tail would be a good show. Well the beginning of One Piece wasn't that good either. It got better as it went along. What makes the first 20 episodes of Fairy Tail bad without any spoilers? Thanks
also why is this forum called Arlong Park. Is that because the Arlong arc is the best arc of One Piece or somethin? Thanks
-
You can watch 300 more episodes of awesomeness if you watch subs instead of dubs.
Just sayin'.
Also, I like Bleach, One Piece, and Naruto: Shippuden.
:O -
I read Fairy Tail and it was fun mindless candy for a while. I guess I couldn't help myself; I liked how it portrayed dragons.
@Lil:

Honestly I don't know. Arlong arc is considered one of the best arcs, but there'd be a lot of debate regarding it being the best. OP isn't an anime that gets worse as it goes along; IMO it gets better.
-
It's a cool name for a forum… unlike... other... generic sounding... titles.
-
Read the manga .
-
So Arlong arc is the best arc of the series!? That sucks cuz I thought the show would get even better. I know that arc was great (I haven't seen past it yet) but is there any future arcs after the Arlong Arc that get even better? Thanks
-
Yes the series gets even better after the Arlong arc; it
s just that the Arlong arc is generally regarded as the best "early" arc and also the one that really turns you into a fan of the show. You could say, that if you still dislike One Piece after you watched the Arlong arc, you
ll probably won`t enjoy the show anyway. -
Ok thanks…
by the way when should I watch the movie that got dubbed by Funimation? After what episode of the show should I watch the movie that got dubbed. Thanks
-
@Lil:

not trying to be a mini-mod here, but there is a FUNIMATION sub-board in the anime section, you can ask your questions there…
as you for some reason only watch the dub, talking in the general anime section is not the brightest idea (spoilers and such...)and yeah... like the others are saying, one piece is at 504 episodes (with ep. 505 to air this sunday), the dubbed one seemingly comes to a hold after ep. 205, than what?
-
@Lil:

Of course there is; CP9 Arc, water seven, arabasta. Trust me it's like 5th best arc.
-
You can't make a decision from other people's opinion of 'The Best Arc' because everyone has different opinions.
I personally think that the Marineford Arc was the best, where I know people who thought Thiller Bark was the best, and others Water Seven.
Which is why we're saying you should just either watch the Subtitled versions, or read the manga. I mean, you're missing over half the animated part of the show by watching only Dubs. :)
Also, the dubbed movie is #8, right? I suggest going as far as you want in the anime (Which seems to be episode 205) – then watch the movie(s).
