I was expecting a never ending series of hide tags within hide tags.
I don't remember if I've shared this here … I've been rewatching it constantly for the past few weeks
That is now the canonical voice for Charizard.
hahahaha that is pretty funny
Guys I found a video that makes Fox and Falco interesting:

this is what competitive smash should look like
Charizard reminds me of my dog. That's how he talks.

That is amazing a Smash like that would be intense as hell.
Those videos have got to be using hacks and not just TAS.

Yeah, it incorporates some Ocarina hacks into the characters mentioned in the descriptions in the vid.
ooh, found a collection of screen k.o faces:

Seeing everyone's will be a real treat.
Pit seems to not been giving a damn about it.
This video is incredible.
Another Japan-only character comes back as an assist trophy
Pic of the day. In this Smash Bros. installment, this little guy is also making an appearance! I…don't know his name, but he's the Prince of the Sablé Kingdom. He's from the Game Boy game Kaeru no Tame ni Kane wa Naru (translated as The Frog For Whom the Bell Tolls), which was only released in Japan.
Here's the trophy of the Sablé Prince. He transforms into a snake or a frog, and unloads multiple attacks on any opponent he catches. Keep attacking your foes when they're trapped in his dust cloud.
i liked that game. It was charming
The more games getting representation, the better.

well that gave me a little chuckle.
well that gave me a little chuckle.
I think it's an unnamed protagonist. That's cool though. Link's Awakening originally started as a side project and I think a lot of the assets (such as the world map interface) originated from this game. Richard (your rival in the game) even makes a cameo.
Yeah this game was what that development team were making while link's awakening was a private hobby. They play very similarly except for combat. But both do overworld exploration and 2D-sidescroller sections. I like the game and would kind of like it officially released or a sequel on 3ds. I has potential to be quite sweet and i think the phantom hourglass playstyle would work better on this game than it did for zelda
I tried playing it but could not for the life of me get into the combat. It just felt so lame.
the combat is the worst part of the game. It's just weird but they can change that. Maybe something with the stylus
More KI crap.
YAY
:getlost:
Well he did make that game, it's not like it was unexpected he'd include lots of stuff from it. For me the issue is more of the fact that I don't see how we need more than one item that requires three parts to be assembled. Was never a fan of dragoon.
Context:
Pic of the day. Look at these three radiant pieces… Yup, you guessed it! It's another combinable item like the Dragoon-the Daybreak.
This is what it looks like when all three parts are combined together. How powerful will its beam blast be? FYI, you can fire shooting items while moving backward and forward. Change direction by flicking the Control Stick or Circle Pad toward the back of the fighter.
Honestly KI stuff isn't that bad considering the huge amount of stuff Zelda got in the game, and Mario has a bunch of items that have been mainstays since 64.
Pretty cool, part of me was hoping for the hydra where we can perhaps ride it around spinning into people. But the daybreak works too.
Actually what I don't get at all is why there's so much Kid Icarus stuff … and still no eggplant item.
Just ... COME ON! You get turned into an eggplant with legs that can only jump and duck around helplessly? That'd work so well for Smash.
Sigh.
I agree, though it may still be in the game.
eggplant wizard assist trophy. Come on now sakurai
Uprising owns, get over it.
That's a fancy cannon
Damn it, I need to get Uprising.
Well the Daybreak is practically a OHKO and I assume that it'll be much harder to dodge in a 2D game like Smash
I want KONG letters now as a combinable item
everyone does a little dance when all 4 are got. Or you gain an extra stock :ninja:
The barrels coming back would be neat.
How about the BEAT letters. He could save you once afterwards. Or just peck them in the eyes.
Damnit, I'm rusty in smash. Haven't been able to beat a cpu for over 20 games in lvl9.
In Brawl the CPUs really abuse the input reads to perfect shield and gain the upper hand with crazy timing, so don't feel too bad if it's been awhile.
That. Also, I never mastered brawl (or melee for that matter) so these new fangled (?)9 years old mechanics like "dodge" and "side special" and "4 throw directions" baffle me.
Also, I'm avoiding playing with my old brawl mains, pokemon trainer and olimar, I want to be not patetic for october3.
And I think that my gc controller is starting to fail.
Basically to beat CPUs in brawl you have to play in ways that you wouldn't normally fight a normal human player and abuse pattern recognition rather than adapt to player behavior, and in both melee and brawl I wouldn't really say that Level 9's is necessarily a good way to practice other than maybe a bit of quicker reaction time.
I think normally the most productive ways to practice with CPUs was to wail on lower levelled CPUs and work at not getting hit. In Brawl particularly since it forced you to practice spacing and that game is so much more defensive.
Competitively speaking, the standard is lower level, yeah, and just to see how techniques work against a moving opponent, a lot of competitive players recommend just wailing on a lvl 1 just to get into the groove of new skills and see what your character can do against a specific opponent.
So, lvl 1 and snipe? This is easier, and my smash64 combos work, when they don't always dodge the first headbut as they do even at lvl7
It's just about following up on your attacks and learning to react in time. Of course this isn't a perfect measure of what human players will do, but it's definitely better use in terms of getting your thumbs moving better.
Pic of the day. Victini and Xerneas are both support Pokémon. Victini's Victory Star boosts the attack of whoever throws the Poké Ball, and also prevents flinching. Xerneas's Geomancy increases the launch power of all fighters, but exceptionally raises it for whoever had the Poké Ball.
Odd…..we didn't see hide or hair of Yveltal in the direct, nor here. Will it be in the game like its X counterpart?
Maybe yveltal will be a stage boss/hazard?
Odd…..we didn't see hide or hair of Yveltal in the direct, nor here. Will it be in the game like its X counterpart?
Considering that the direct had ALL pokeball mons, but there wasn't any trace of Chandelure, Koffing, Gastly, Zekrom, Reshiram or Milotic, it has chance mostly as a not pokeball mon. or just was added after the fact.
