And here I wished that Zaraki's bankai had something to do with Yachiru's shikai.
He's opening the Eight Gates. For it to do what you suggest would require some thought process on Kubo's part.

well that makes very little sense lol
Actually some of the stuff makes a lot of sense, and the person probably discovered some things that most likely inspired Kubo (like that Gashadokuro thing).
But can't help but be reminded of Dark Tower book 3 (currently reading) when (spoilers):
! English teacher Ms. Avery makes a positive analysis of Jake's hilariously insane poem he wrote instead of an essay.

Yeah, maybe Kubo made Mr. "I Punch Things Very Hard" a lot deeper than he appears or maybe Kubo made him a blank madlib that other people are filling in with deep subject matter.
That's why I said make of it as you will. Just thought I'd share it as at least the thought behind that post was interesting, whether or not it's actually revelant to bleach.
There was a time that I would go to that forum just to look at those posts. There can be some interesting tid bits in there, but the problem is that persons posts can get much longer than the one that was posted and I gave up trying to read them, mainly because this person is doing it out of love for the series, where I don't really care that much for it now. The one big problem I've seen pop up in posts that poster has done is assume that because there is a possible inspiration to a character or story, it automatically makes something developed. At one point they compared Bach to Heracles or someone, and went in depth about the character. Problem was there was very little to connect the two, and it came off as "Bach is like Heracles, this was what Heracles was like, thus Bach is a very developed character with motivations". Either way, glad they can at least enjoy the series that is known as Bleach.
It appears that I'll need some kind of professor degree in urban legend and mythology course to be able to understand Bleach's richness in references and underlying themes. Idk about others, but I'll only come to appreciate those kind of trivia when the writing is already a satisfactory, which Bleach is not. Otherwise, I can only see them as wasted ideas.

It's like appreciating One Piece for what different real world locations which inspire Oda to make certain locations, or combinations from there. It's cool to know but has no effect on the actual story which we need to know. As far as Bleach is concerned, it's hard to take most of seriously. People find any little detail and try to make it a huge thing. That same poster way back then made note that Matsumoto meant a certain kind of tree, and because said tree was in a flashback she was going to become important in the arc. You can guess where that went. Basically if there's anything that could represent some kind of symbol or something they like to blow it up like it's this huge deal.
Holy crap this takes me back. I used to lurk the Bleach Onemanga forums, and I definitely remember that user (Milareppa)

It is officially confirmed that Kubo Tite is GAG mangaka.

because Bleach is a joke, obviously!
Ichigo doesn't look happy with it.

It looks like Ichigo being surprised for standing along with Tabelu, Inumaru, and Isobe.
It is known Fullbring arc is comedy gold.

Wait so is this good or bad. R they making fun of bleach?
Are they saying bleach is GAG because its awful
Or was bleach all along a GAG manga from the beginning
cause i remember kubo saying he does bleach with no humor in mind and he rarely sometimes feels like putting one in

I know he said somewhere that he adds in comedy when he gets bored.
Damn, this happens because the bottom is like the gag group of the WSJ.
I do really want to read the next chapter, like urgent.
It is known Fullbring arc is comedy gold.
I don't think even Kubo remembers that arc exists
Now when I am thinking about it Asking could have lied about his ability activating its full potential when he dies same as Urahara kind of lied to him so Grimm or nobody else try to finish him off completely. Meaning he is alive, yet dying, activated his ability to its full power. Would be in his character I guess.. I dont see him being dead for some reason..

Raw of new chapter.
I must say I am impressed. That stuff animated with Bleach anime quality and some music would be feast for eyes.
Fangirls fainting!

Probably what Kubo meant by Hitsu perfecting his Bankai - we will surely get some really silly explanation with next chapter. But Im okay with that.
! I hope that Hitsu power ascended to where Yamamotos power was at his prime(pure power, not skill etc. ) so we will get to see adult Hitsu power within manga without another timeskip. He was named Genius and somebody who would catch up or pass Shinsuis strength(he said so at one time I think) as years would pass by.
Now I feel really stupid for thinking Hitsugaya won't become awesome and play a hand in defeating Thor.
Maybe Urtear had something to do with it?
ahahah this is fucking ridiculous http://readms.com/r/bleach/670/3352/1
Is that ichigo on the last page?

makes sense since he uses ice lol.
Buuuuuuuuuuuulllllllllllshiiiiiiiiiit
Well, I guess some cosplayers might approve of this
I love that Kenpachis long-awaited bankai appears to have accomplished absolutely nothing- rather, it seems to have made things worse. Well, I guess Kubo could always add some hidden delayed effect to his moves, like with Gins super-extendo sword OF POISON
The thing about Kenpachi's bankai is, it only implies speed, strength but not reiatsu. I mean, I'm like %100 sure that if Aizen was the one who sliced this Quincy in half, he would have been dead. Because Aizen-sama have this insane reiatsu or reishi whatever. But when Kenpachi half-assedly does it, it's only brute strength and therefore wont't accomplish anything.
Should we expect Byakuya going after Hitsugaya and saying how there is a bankai beyond the normal bankai, so that Ichigo will perform the same thing at the end?

Considering how weak he is compared to Kenpachi and Hitsugaya, I call yes.

The implication was a lot scarier for me; Bleach might last long enough for Kenpachi to be able to handle his Bankai properly.

Same as Ichigo's final Getsuga Tenshou.

More Aizen, the better.
I also like how Byakuya daintily catches and carries Shrimpo using his swirling cloud of razor-sharp shrapnel
Byakuya has that special Bankai forms of his. Hakuteiken, I think, with halo and wings. We haven't seen that since him vs Ichigo. So there's plenty of room for progress that makes sense. Unlike shrimp's.

Well you should be happy actually - there will be a lot more of what you like to complain about Some Joy incomming…

I still have no idea what that thing was supposed to do. Except just being a powerup, and "making fangirls swoon", I belive it was
Oh freaking lol at this chapter.
Kenpachi continues his warpath against Gerard, who…..aaah, there we go! There's the bizarre Eldrich-esque transformation. Although, I actually think it looks kinda cool, if only Gerard was interesting to watch! (I did crack a smile at the panel where Yachiru laments over too much of a release and watched Kenpachi's arm get shredded)
And then Hitsugaya, who was reduced to being the straight man and reacting for us….gets an age-up when the last petal of his Bankai falls. Maturity. All of his fangirls have squeed and gone to heaven....
@Daz:

Yeah, if he was encased completely, like some Angemon made of razors, I'd understand. But he got wings and halo and charged Ichigo… holding his katana with both hands.
I wonder if we'll ever see that again, considering they are fighting another angelic enemy at the moment. I can already envision Thor losing his shit at the sight of some Shinigami trying to mimic his divine appearance.

Believe it or not, I was actually pretty hyped when this Quincy war started. Too bad Kubo dropped the ball fast.

I was hyped too. First invasion was actually great. Since it ended till those fights that we have now - all still feels like build up to last big arc. At least to me.
Start of War was very strong and what we gotten since then is few really good moments and a lot of build up not very ritch with information.
I hope that after Ichi will get to Bach last part of this arc will start after some timeskip happening again - till now Ichigo gotten beaten by almost everybody he fought during quincy war and it was hinted this chapter that Zaraki is not ready for full potential of his Bankai.. along with Hitsu being shown as adult this chapter all points towards some timeskip of sorts or at least one last part of this arc being very very long.
Cant wait to see KOL's reaction to this
The asspull is strong with this one

Its only appropriate that Kenpachi would lose an arm; I mean, its been 34 chapters since the last time.
I seriously think arm-mangling might contest Attacks From Behind with how routine they've gotten.

You said it, Kenpachi.

The testosterone is strong in this chapter. First Gerard grows a beard, then Hitsugaya's balls drop. The next step is for Byakuya to develop some intense BO.

It's not a beard.
When I realized it was a helmet, I was way more disappointed than I should have been.
To be fair, the ice petals thing being a countdown to full power was hinted quite some time ago during one arrancar fight (Can't be bothered to search) so it's not really an asspull for once.

It's an helmet specifically designed to protect beards! Maybe he grew one under it
