So kubo remembered visored can use their hollow masks. Do you think he'll remember that quincies are weak to hollow power?

If Mayuri made Nemu stronger than 99.9% of the Captains, he probably made Hitsugaya a Top Tier as well…
To be fair, Nemu was not as strong as people say. She was simply fast and physically strong, but she still failed to cause permanent damage to Pernidas and was killed in 1 second. Sure she managed to put a big hole on Pernidas with her Hadouken before he regenerated, but every attack aimed at him was able to hurt his body just the same.
I doubt she could put up a fight against any Captain. -
ugh the chapter was fine until the literal special snowflake returned
at least him being ok must mean rose and kensei might come back. also where is mashiro? we havent seen her since the beggining of the arc
-
Everytime I think Hitsugaya might be out of the story, kubo pulls him back in. :ninja:

Maybe she saved Hisagi or something like that.
-
Well, at least Hitsugaya still looks good in his Nazi outfit.

Speaking of which, why did they bother giving him one, but not for Matsumoto, Kensei and Rose?
-
I don't get all the hate for Ice-fail here.
Sure, he's basically a manga version of "oatmeal pants," but then again who isn't in this series?
-

Because the one who dressed him up (Zombie Semen) isn't interested in any of them?

This post is deleted!

He's been for longer. And probably the fact that he poses as the strongest guy around while failing almost every single time doesn't help it. At least Byakuya can act that cocky because his history support his claims.
-
Give me Shuhei's bankai.
I don't care what the fuck you do with the rest the story Kubo. You can have that we settle things through a competitive crossword puzzle, just give me that one thing and I'll be satisfied.
-
Not Kubo paying the Vizard absolute dust again.
They're probably my favourite group.

He'd not still be in the top percentage of Rattatas though:ninja:
-
I can't work out who is the bigger jobber, the Vizards or Hitsugaya. Either way the miracle man ended up being a bit of disappointment, he's just as cocky and up his own ass as every other quincy bad guy we've met. I guess De Mask was our only hero.

Which I find personally sad as Mask de Masculine was the point I could no longer even try to take the Quincy seriously.
-
Mask de Masculine, the hero Bleach deserves, not the Bleach needs. The villain the Bleach needs is the chair.
-
i miss don panini already
-
I wouldnt mind Hitsu return if he wasnt his damn arrogant self, he is boring.
Shinji might get up but only to show his Bankai, Byakuya should return as well.
-
Just finished reading One Piece. Glad I read it after bleach.
-
For shit's sake, this iceturd again. Why Kubo, why!?
-
Frankly my biggest disappointment is that my Yushiro Death Watch didn't last two weeks.
Dude, I know you exist to die but COME ON! At least make it a challenge for the guy.
-
Kubo just had to bring back Shitsugaya in this chapter.
-
We can only hope ice fail is a stalling tactic for kubo.
-

He made Nemu from scratch. Only had couple of hours to work with Hitsugaya.
No, Hitsugaya will become stronger thanks to his own genius.
-
I may be alone, but in my eyes, Hitsugaya is like middle tier for me: far from the top 10, but not a character to make me angry or anything.
He does get a lot of scenes and job a lot, though.
-
For me, the thing about Hitsugaya is he doesn't live for all the hype Kubo gives him. He may not be Chad level, but boy didn't he got his ass kicked a lot?
-
How dare normal people judge the workings of a genius like Hitsugaya.
Seriously though, it's an annoying thing in manga. When characters are labeled geniuses but there's no trace of it on pages. I recall Kishimoto throwing the word around quite a lot in Naruto.
-
There have been very few Gotei 13 characters in Bleach that have actually improved their fighting technique, and Hitsugaya has always been described as more of a prodigy still growing than a combat genius. He's mature and strong for his age and all that hut one of the weaker captains overall because he lacks experience, so I don't have a problem with him being a fairly static character strengthwise through Aizen's saga, especially because he revealed his bankai so early. However, between both the timeskip and the mini-training arc between invasions, Hitsugaya should have been one to improve the most, which simply didn't happen.
I guess the best argument for why he might be useful now is that he trained hard without his bankai before so he'll be even stronger with it.
-
Oftentimes we forget that apparently anything faster than a few thousands of years or decades is pretty quick in soul society time.
Probably because while Hitsugaya's a prodigy even though Ichigo literally picks things up in the span of a week.
-
I can't believe you guys still are lurking for logic on the iceturd's development. If he appeared now means The Trolling will engulf this idiocy all for the sales to improve, sad but still funny yet with a remorse feeling because the henchmen were getting highlighted and that's a really good thing in narrative terms.
I'd prefer Ishida's growth, one greater than Ichigo in the school powered just like him, by Tite's master trolling hand.
-
Some time ago one of you did the math and proved that the soul balance was complete bs. So with the relatively recent information about how zan are made, what do you think it does to soul balance?
-
It should do absolutely nothing. Because soul balance is BS. The Shingamis as they are haven't even been around that long. What happened to all the billions of people's souls who died before their group showed up? Kubo still never even addressed if this is strictly a Japanese afterlife for people who only died in Japan. And possibly China.

Now I'm wondering, so we know beyond doubt that Soul Reapers predate the Quincy? Is it possible that were formed precisely because the Quincy stirred things up?
-
Shinigami should not be needed to keep the balance working. The souls are supposed to travel to SS on their own once the person dies, the Shinigami are only needed to force those souls who are stuck on Earth due to any reason to go there, otherwise those souls would eventually become Hollows.
But if you think about it, Hollows should be an welcome part of the balance. If souls remain in the human world for a few decades and then go to SS where they "live" for thousands of years before they can be reborn, soon the amount of souls in the SS should become much bigger than the those in the human world. The Hollows would be a way to keep souls from going to the SS (both the Hollows themselves and the souls they devour) and making the number of souls there overwhelming, so the Shinigami and their "soul burial" seem stupid.
The only reason I can see for the Shinigami to exist is to antagonize the Quincy who destroy the Hollows erasing their souls completely. But fight the Hollow and purify them so they can go to SS doesn't make sense.

That's my own thinking, though to answer my own question I'm realizing that Yhwach referred to Soul Society during Bazz B's flashback. Though not sure if that confirms if the Soul Reapers/Shinigami were also a Thing at that time.
-
Which is why I've said that the soul king should not be some lynch pin for reality, but rather a system that regulates the flow of souls. Soul balance should just be a lie the shinigami made up to justify why they should deal with hollows. And Hueco Mundo is simply a dumping ground for excess energy from the soul king, and over time it condensed and became a living being.
-

In some flashback we found out the Shinigami originally were not as they are today. First they were a band leaded by those 13 guys and only much later they formed the Gotei 13. The Shinigami existed before they actually had any formal function, be it protect Soul Society, fight the Quincy or protect the human world from Hollows.
I would like to have faith in Kubo and believe he would explain the early years (centuries) of the Gotei 13 and how that rogue group ended up becoming a brass of the Soul King and the protectors of, well, everything. But I doubt it.
If he surprises me and ever address the subject, I agree with Xanegoh in that the balance will most likely turn out to be a lie. Both to justify the fight against the quincy and also o convince Yamamoto's group they should work for the Soul King. -
Well the chapter's out.
-
Funny how the chapter's name implies we get some Hitsugaya action only to abruptly cut to some forced Ishida flashback (trauma from seeing daddy mutilating mommy simply because "he's a doctor" always makes for a great backstory), followed by a Haschwalth/Ichigo confrontation. I really don't understand Bleach.
-
That shot of Momo looking on as Hitsugaya used Bankai really ticced me off, I wanted her to do something darn it >:(
Oh yeah, Ishida still being "evil" was still a thing. Can Ichigo knock some literal sense back into him already?
-
I see we're back to "nothing happens" chapters.

I was more annoyed because going from Momo to Uryu was needlessly confusing. Until the flashback went to high school I thought we were still with Momo.

I had that throught too. Lol. I was also like…She used to wear glasses? Her dad was a doctor? Then Ishida. While it's nice to see him after forever times it's out of nowhere. I would have rather had a more natural transition to his stuff than prolonging Shiro's stuff.
-
Also, funny we get to see Ryuken again in this arc, but again it's flashback only.
Like…...you really would think he would have more present-day appearances in this Quincy arc.
-
Please Hitsugaya just die already…...God i hate him so much.
He is a failure in every way. He struggled to beat an ordinary Stern Ritter and now he faces off against the heart of the Soul King in God mode....Maybe this Uryuu-Haschwalth and Ichigo situation will lead to something more interesting....
-
Meh… first chapter I haven't cared about in a while now. Too many transitions.
-
For some reason, Im glad Ichigo reached the castle already, knowning Kubo it wouldve taken 23042304230 chapters for the Gang to do it…
-
Good to know I was not the only one who felt the cut to Ishida and his flashback had a terrible timing. Maybe the lack of positive reaction to this arc is forcing Kubo to rush things like when he suddenly went "Tsukishima is my friend"?
That shot of Momo looking on as Hitsugaya used Bankai really ticced me off, I wanted her to do something darn it >:(
You are alone on that, though…
-
Hilarious how Hitsugaya could dodge Geralds attack and not RG Byakuya..
PL are bullshit…....
