In a twist of irony, Coby won't have been promoted over these two years no matter how hard he worked because Akainu is in charge.
But Helmeppo did, and made it to commodore.
@Baou:
Why do people think that the pirates are alive without their hearts…..last time I checked, you died if your heart didn't exist to pump blood(whitebeard doesn't count)
Because when Law took all those people apart back in Sabaody, they were still alive.
Law's power is the inverse of Buggy's; instead of being able to take himself apart without dying, Law can take other people apart without killing them.

Actually Law probably could take himself apart too unless he stated otherwise.

I think that luffy will make franky make a vehicle for every strawhat and then when they go against San waun wolf the form a giant megazord thing to fight him.Oh and they'll have on those costumes in that cover spred when they were fruits.

It's just as you say this that I think:Puzzle Puzzle FruitIt makes sense to me, plus we just found out about the whole arrangement where Law's dissections can be easily be pulled apart and stuck back together and even to other things. And the samurai deliberately called it a puzzle.
-
I thought Law's appearance confirmed that he was the one who cut the samurai (being a shichibukai and all).
-
what if law has taken out all of his vital organs, placed them somewhere safe and made him self almost immortal :O
-

That would seem more like Hidan from Naruto because they'd need a vler way to beat him or you know they could obliterate his actual body.

coby will be a vice admiral

Sorry bud. It irritated me a bit, didn't want to steal your moment - go ahead, ask him again!
No biggie.
–--------------------------------------------------On a different note. I'm still wondering what happened to brook .How many deltas does that river have? I mean it must have a couple for him not to cross ways with Law or Smoker. On the off chance they're on the same riverside and delta then I assume sheep goons took Sunny elsewhere and brook run without thinking to random point Y on the map.
-
I'm pretty sure we'll see him and Luffy's group next week, maybe they'll even meet up.
-
Speaking of Luffy's group, I am thinking that they will somehow make an entrace even weirder and more eccentric. I can see his group riding on the centaurs they probably defeated and seeing Brooke being chased by the torso and asking Tashigi's panty at the same time.

Indeed; how to highlight Nami's weirdness among a party of weirdos.
ODAS ANSWER: Give her a bikini for a freezing island:ninja:

I know this is very unlikely and probably won't happen but….what if Aokiji recruited CP9 and created a vigilante group dedicated to hunting down the scaped criminals? That would be so awesome
-

An independent party? that would be interesting. Garp and Sengoku could help there as well
-
Or, you know, part of the revolutionaries - I'm not even fully behind that idea but hear me out; the revolution exists because they want to change the government and current system of power, right? Well, Kuzan left the Marines because he didn't want to serve under Akainu['s rule of terror(implied)], which would mean he technically has the same goal - change the system for a better one.
-
Both Buggy and Shanks know the True History, like Rayleigh. One of them will let something slip about it slip, but will be interrupted after a tidbit (like being yelled at or punched in the face).
And One Piece can't be treasure since Buggy has no interest in going after it (it's pretty obvious anyway, but this all but confirms it).
And if he isn't dead, the Strawhats are gonna meet Scopper (Shanks-Buggy-Scopper-Luffy four-way meetup?).
-

The CP9 are being hunted by the marines. So no.
-

I agree that Kuzan would not really work with the CP9 but for a different reason.
but Kuzan (formerly Aokiji) is no longer with the Marines due to a difference of views. He is the one that arranged things to be omitted so the Franky Family did not become wanted after the Enies Lobby incident. He could go for hunting down some crminals that have slipped through the cracks.
If he let them go after they took part of storming the Govt. island, then he wouldn't worry about the fact the former CP9 members are being hunted by Marines. The real reason why he would not work with them is be becasue Lucci is too similar to Akainu … believes in extreme justice and all that jazz. Lucci would have to change that view or rein it in VERY tightly for Kuzan to work with him now both no longer works for the WG (includes Marines who the WG's military force, jsut as CP9 was the spies/undercover agents)

You're right.
But I was thinking more in line of CP9 not working with Aokiji. Also, it's not like Aokiji even needs their help. As for Lucci's justice, it's not really justice. He's simply a cold blooded murderer. His dark "justice" is all about killing whoever he wants with the permission of the government.

Heady's son is the sentient jelly dude.
Either that, or the effects of whatever experiments Law's doing are the most advanced on him.

A thought occurred to me. I need to confirm if I'm too tired to be coherent.
Did Oda intend for the confrontation between Otohime and the thief at the very beginning of the flashback to be an analogy for the message of the arc as a whole? With thievery is to discrimination and hatred as the thief is to the average resident of Fishman island, or even an average resident of the Fishman District (can't be Hody or any of the NFP officers, they have no redemption in the future).
The story brought up how Otohime didn't do enough to notice the thief's suffering sooner (same with the troubles of the Fishman District).
There was also the emphasis on the cycle of hatred continuing. And how neither the thief or those that continued the cycle of hatred thought of the children.
Finally, there was Luffy's gag which is where I might be looking way too deeply into this theory.
http://www.mangareader.net/one-piece/627/15
Luffy asked what happened to the thief Otohime captured. Yes it's meant as a joke, but if the thief is a metaphor for the average Fishman Island resident, then this might be the most important question.
What did happen to the thief?Even though the guy promised to change his outlook, the problems he faced still existed (the thief had huge debts, a family to take care of, his store burned down, and now is in jail), which can be said about racism to Fishman Island as a whole. Despite the positive message of the arc, the Tennryubito still exist and want fishman slaves, and technically the barrier between the average human and fishman still hasn't been broken. Maybe that comment by Luffy was an odd Luffy-like moment of clarity? (Stupid studying).
-
That's a pretty interesting look at the situation Gizmo. That's all I pretty much have to add, sorry!
But this problem won't see an end until Jinbe is sailing with Straw Hat's and they completely change the world together, probably more than a decade from now in real time.

Really good observation! It's pretty obvious that the problem isn't fixed, yet, but with Hody defeated and Jinbei giving his blood to Luffy, it's a start.
I actually really like this, say compared to Skypiea where the conflict seemed to have been fixed, when in truth, if you really think about it, conflicts like the 400 year war can't be solved just like that in a few days, like it seemed to imply when Skypiea ended. In that regard I think Skypiea was handled a little worse theme wise. This is just me being cynical and thinking realistically with a shounen series, though. -

I've not thougth of that until you pointed it out. Perhaps Oda realized that after Skypeia and that is why he went into more detail with the conflict on Fishman Island.

not impossible, seeing as Shanks (another member of the Roger crew even lower on the hierarchy at the time) was able to become a Yonkou

This is just me being cynical and thinking realistically with a shounen series, though.I always thought Skypiea's resolution was adequately handled.
Before Eneru, Gun Fall was trying to promote peace talks between the two nations, and this was a process he attempted throughout the years as god. They were in an era of "resolution" already and who knows where it would have led if Eneru didn't come into the picture. Plus, the two sides went through the trails of Eneru's reign together and the Skypieans also just lost their home. Their resolution at least had both sides able to peacefully discuss matters, and nobody was in the mood for war anymore. Gun Fall also had that epiphany that the "vearth" can't be owned by one person, and realized it was meant to be shared.
Whereas the events of Fishman Island only affected the Fishman, not the humans. It was a good first step though.

And there were also failures (Buggy) so this allows for more successful crew mates.
Its a nice theory with some decent evidence

I disagree,
The events on Fishman Island were based on the anger and mistrust between the Humans and Fish/merfolk and had far reaching affects, esp with the New Fishman Pirates; to quote another site "Like Arlong, they wished to make fishmen the supreme race and aimed to sink the humans into the ocean."After all remember these facts=
- the slaves of the New Fishmen Pirates were humans
- Gyro and his crew is a human crew that tried to escape from the NFP and were attacked on their way up, their ship destroyed before they reached the surface. Hody Jones let him live so he could tell the surface the tell of the NFP, wishing the tells to install fear
- for years the NFP had been persecuting any that would help humans (that would include humans visiting the island) when members became a terrorist group that would kill any fishman who sympathized with humans, especially those who willingly donated blood to them.
- one unnamed fishman went to SA and acted as a suicide bomber
- The NFP planned that after they overthrew Neptune they would then conquer the human race
- One reason the NFP triedt o overthrow Neptune is because he wanted to continue his late wife's wishes and attend the Revire on the surface and eventually have thier people move to the surface. By stopping Hody, this plan can continue
Taking those into account, events on Fishman Island do affect humans along with Fishmen.

After reading this I agree with your argument completely. However once I finished I laughed a lot to myself trying to imagine the Old crippled Hody trying to murder all the kings at the reverie.

When I meant was that the events that occurred during that arc didn't lead to a dramatic change toward the fishman/human relationship for humans for the better.
After all remember these facts=
- the slaves of the New Fishmen Pirates were humans
Pirates, none of whom showed antagonism towards fishmen before or after the event.
- Gyro and his crew is a human crew that tried to escape from the NFP and were attacked on their way up, their ship destroyed before they reached the surface. Hody Jones let him live so he could tell the surface the tell of the NFP, wishing the tells to install fear
There is no NFP threat anymore, so the point is moot. Plus, a bunch of freed pirates and now Smoker and that G5 ship know the NFPs were defeated.
- for years the NFP had been persecuting any that would help humans (that would include humans visiting the island) when members became a terrorist group that would kill any fishman who sympathized with humans, especially those who willingly donated blood to them.

The way humans viewed fishmen before the NFP and the way humans view fishman after the NFP haven't changed. Everything you described affected how Fishman viewed humanity, not the other way around. Yes, the relationship will change, but the change from the humans perspective didn't show up this arc. It won't come until later.

I think its unlikely as i doubt that Oda would make the final Yonko a person who had a link with Roger considering that Shanks is already a Yonko and having too of them like this might feel a bit unoriginal.
That said the briefness of Shanks and Kaidou's clash pre WB war has always seemed odd to me, Kaidou and Shanks having a past alliance could explain why Shanks managed to get past Kaidou without much trouble.

–Doc Q. will get--or already has--a Paramecia Devil Fruit that allows him to create/spread disease.
--Jewelry Bonney has been alive since the Void Century. She's simply de-aged herself with her Devil Fruit to keep herself from dying. (This is why the World Government wants her, and why she hates the World Government; because of what they did (to her people) during the Century).
--"The Master"--the weird liquid/gas like...thing in the Punk Hazard story arc--is a Logia user, who, hasn't shown his Human form yet. His Logia is oil; oil can be liquid or gas, and oil would work nicely with the scienceish theme of Punk Hazard.

For your third 1 to work, the building would have to be
a) very highly pressurised to allow him to stay in his gas form
or
b) Be extremely hot (which is highly unlikely seeing as it is on the ice side)Other then your 3rd theory I like the other 2 and would be really funny and interesting for the story if No.2 was true

You never know, so you can't say for sure (so cocky-like). It's like people kept denying Punk Hazard as the island Aokiji and Akainu fought on, and you see how that turned out OR how Law couldn't be the Shichibukai on the island because it didn't "fit his character".

I'm just showing how flawed your logic is through sarcasm. Oil can be liquid or gas, but so can ice.

I say Law is part of Dragon's revolutionary crew! Since Kuma is gone, they need someone as insider in the world govt. That why I think it is one of the reason Law saved Luffy.

He can probably cancel his freezing power, which would turn ice back into water (though he wouldn't be able to control the water directly without freezing it again first).

An interesting theory. He's even got the nose for it (hurr).
It brings up something in the same vein I've been wondering for awhile now: Why did Roger let Buggy join his crew? And if Scopper's really Kaidou, why him?
Roger was a lot like Luffy, so he probably recruited people like Luffy did (and could tell when someone was actually bad). He only has one ship, and his crew seemed pretty close knit, so it's not like he would seriously invite someone willy-nilly.
When Buggy was on Roger's ship, he was greedy like Nami and cowardly like Usopp (and didn't even have an excuse for it). You'd think he'd have grown up and gotten over it during his time on that ship, but nope; by the time we first met him, he was ruthless would kill people who failed orders, lost treasure, or made fun of his nose (even when it was just him mishearing things). Heck, even when he was a kid he was willing to jump ship and abandon his nakama just because he got a fruit that could make him a lot of money.
It's just weird. Here's a man who was on the crew of the king of the pirates, and was vitrolic best buds with one of the four emperors. By all implications, he should've turned out good, or at least have had enough sense not to ravage towns and kill his nakama for petty things.
In the same boat, why would a man who was [likely] Roger's third in command slay people's entire crews and do something so sneaky as to try and take Whitebeard's territory while he's away, then have to be stopped by Shanks?
What if there was something that both of them saw/experienced that was so mind-breaking that they're views of camaraderie and friendship were shattered?

Lassoo has "RA" written on him. Former Baroque Works make a return working for Dragon? Yes, please. I'd like to see Miss Valentine again. And Mr. 5 could be really awesome if he stopped using boogers and started using Haki. Since Haki is part of oneself, could he explode CoA somehow? Anyways. Yeaah
