Not mentally challenged but as the arabs say tafkeer mutakalif, Aggressive and such. You may not be able to see it because you have lived in the environment for too long, or haven't seen it yet (if you don't live there)
I have been both in & out. I lived in Egypt for 22 years & I have been 3 years outside. And NO the Egyptians don’t have “tafkeer mutakhalef” (in eng: retarded way of thinking).
I’m not saying the Egyptian minds are the world’s elite. Egypt surely has its share from dump asses. But seriously; calling me, my family, my friends, everyone I know and another 70 million population mentally challenged/retard is unjustifiable insult.
I’d like to keep this conversation light hearted & all, but do you seriously expect me to listen to this and look the other way???
Here comes my "corrupted" part, many more other than myself predicted that this would happen (months ago) and the whole change in constitution or whatever they are doing to remove all problems from them
You don’t start an all out war against your own military b/c you suspect (or even expect) a bad intention, especially that many of your requests have been granted during those months of patience. And you keep your good faith even more when you see how painful it was for Libya and Syria when their army gave them up.
Was there people doubting the military council intentions?
Of course there was a reasonable doubt. But there was nothing conclusive to amass the people in the streets again.
That was all well and dandy after those 18 days of protest.
Again you don’t seem to understand the situation at the time. The opposition THEMSELVES didn’t want to rush the elections. All political parties (except the muslim brotherhood) wanted more time to prepare themselves for the elections. Even today after 9 months they didn’t reach to the people enough. The Military council “HAD” to be trusted to run the country during this transition period. The only other solution was a ruling civil council which wasn’t a really practical solution for many (myself included).
In one way or the other; Things “had” to go the way it went, and from now on no one knows what’ll happen tomorrow.
@bartholemew:
Truth be told the same can and is said about the Libyans. Give them guns and they will catch you a Saif. But most of them are still tafkeer mutakhalif wa primitive.
but i guess that is what you expect after a terrible education for so long.
Oh, so you don't hold it against egyptians exclusively but against the arabs as general!
I still reject this point of view. I was raised under the same undeniably defected education system, but life has in it much more than just school.Today I live in another country surrounded by people from all around the world and I assure you I don't feel inferior at all (nor that I should) to other people who had a more than likely a better education than me.
At the end of it, my only point is that you don't get to generalize such offenses. this coming from another arab is specially painful to me, because if you think like this then what would you expect from others who believe that arabs live in tents & ride camels.
But in reality, Egyptians are both cool and… (dangerous :ninja:).
You got that right. :devil:
! (Secretly plotting to the unfortunate accident that cost us the life of our dear beloved Kuma) :ninja:
