Yea I never register right away either. I usually save up until I know I can get something I really want, such as being platinum member, or posibly this 3d remake

I already registered for Zelda's stuff. I think I'll have a code for Starfox I need to dig out tho. And will prolly get Mario Kart tomorrow so ~
-
For anyone who has mario kart i made a community for us: the code is: 47-1630-3604-5606
Let me know if anyone's up for a race or something -
sweet. I got it just today so once I done all of the levels I'll have to play sometime.
Certainly enjoying it. Loving the Wuhu Island levels. Kinda wish they didn't use two spaces for two seperate Island levels but meh.
-
I love the rainbow road in this one as well as the star cup in general (except for the last wuhu island course, i suck at that)
-
Yeah I loved the Rainbow cup ones. Mario Galaxy themed Rainbow Road (including all of the old themes) was so much win. As was DKC Returns level. Makes me really wonder WHY THE HELL DO WE HAVE NEITHER A PAPER MARIO OR MARIO + LUIGI THEMED LEVEL!? (Hell considering there's stuff from Wii Fit/Pilotwings and Donkey Kong give us a Lanyru Desert themed level and a Epic Yarn one too.)
Personally I loved the length of the 3 part courses. Just wish they were 2 or 3 laps instead of just one. They just felt more epic as a track as whole. That's probably my only complaint with the game. Oh and I don't like how mainstays like Daisy and Wario are unlockables. Dunno if this is actually possible but I'd have liked to be able to tap the bottom screen to get a view behind.
-
I don't mind daisy and wario being unlockable because it was meant to represent the first game with who you start with. What annoys me is on the bottom screen you can no longer see obstacles (making waluigi's pinball really annoying) and waluigi isn't in the game :(
-
Just got Mario Kart 7
Also, remember the Monster Hunter 4 trailer for the 3DS? It was actually REAL TIME FOOTAGE OF THE GAME
-
Oh really … that's ... awesome!
-
Are you serious?
that… will shut a lot of ppl up :O -

Nintendo eShop is currently undergoing maintenance. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please try again later. -
woo! Update's on it's way
-
Yeah, seems the latest system update is out early. I'm in the middle of updating mine right now
-
So only 3D movies and a new level for Street Quest (and ability to get Miis from Wi-Fi onto it) and a new puzzle? Is that it? I thought we were getting new Streetpass games etc with this update?
Oh and accomplishments too. Most of which are impossible to get XD 20 different regions? Yeah. Maybe if you counted all the counties in the UK but XD
-
Hum I just updated and didnt see anything new in my 3DS weird…
Edit: its just Street plaza stuff? well dang I have 0 Miis tagged.
-

Miyamoto "retiring" from his position:
http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2011/12/miyamoto-interview/
He wants to work with the "youngsters" to give them experience cause he knows he wont be around forever.I gotta say, his dedication and his care for his franchises really is admirable.

As long as he still participates in the creation of furture Zelda games then power to him.
-
I'm hoping this will mean Miyamoto will apply himself more to creating new franchises that might one day grow themselves
-
I think that's what he wants to do. I remember him saying at one E3 that he wants to create new IPs…
Oh and Zelda is in good hands so I'm sure we wont have to worry about it at all. -

TO me, it sounded like this is exactly what he plans to avoid doing. Which isn't really a bad thing. He's been training Aonuma to be his successor for the legend of zelda for quite a while, and I feel like Aonuma has proven himself a fine successor already. What I think it means is that Miyamoto wants to flex his creativity to its fullest again, rather than being tied down to the major existing series to the point where he really can't innovate as much. And this is a fantastic thing because it could lead to new icons in gaming

There is no doubt in my mind. It would just be nice for the creator of the series to be apart of it in whatever way he can.
-
I just got the new update and took the opportunity to transfer my stuff to my spankin' new Zelda 3DS. Now I'm gonna sell off the old system and the copy of Zelda OoT I already have, but not before taking advantage of all the StreetPassing things I always wanted to do with two 3DSes. Complete Pokedex and Find Mii, here I come. >:D

-
Intellectual Properties.
Like, Pikmin was awesome and it wasn't a sequel in a franchise, it was a brand new game for the Gamecube.
More like that.
-
that would be good. It sounds like we'll be seeing lots of little projects from him that are brand new (so like downloadable titles)
I want wario land 1 to come out soon. It's the only one i never owned
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
ok apparently it's not true

Wario Land 3 is GBC.

Update on Miyamoto. He isn't stepping down. He is still holding his position.
It was a misunderstanding.
Here's an official statement that has been issued by Nintendo:
"Video game designer Shigeru Miyamoto's role at Nintendo is not changing. He will continue to be a driving force in Nintendo's development efforts. In discussing his priorities at Nintendo in a media interview, Mr. Miyamoto explained how he is encouraging the younger developers at the company to take more initiative and responsibility for developing software. He attempted to convey his priorities moving forward, inclusive of overseeing all video game development and ensuring the quality of all products. Mr. Miyamoto also discussed his desire to pursue fresh ideas and experiences of the kind that sparked his initial interest in video games."

ok apparently it's not true
It isn't true that he is completely retiring. Afaik, He just retires from his current position, which has him checking status for about 10 games at the same time and surveying 5-year projects like Skyward Sword.
He will go back to a director role. Hopefully for games like Pikmin, less Wii Music and Nintendogs. But whatever, he created lots of groundbreaking milestones and is 59 years old, let him rest.I'm not worried about Mario in Koizumis hands, but I'm also not too fond of Zelda becoming a complete Aonuma-series… :X

IGN (who's surprised) and whoever else was bleating at nintendo demanding a statement should learn how to read.
It's not even as if wired worded it badly or anything. Really exciting news though.
-
Damn. You know. With the current amount of 3DS releases you'd have thought the ones that ARE being released would get some attention. Went to the Metro Centre today. Dr. Lautrec, Blazblue, Cave Story and Tales of the Abyss were nowhere to be found. Asked about them and pretty much every instance I was told 'Oh we won't be stocking those because nobody's heard of them. You can get them online however.'
Thousands of Horrid Henry and Spongebob on the shelves however. It really annoys me how little stores will take chances on some of these games. Xenoblade did fine, I'm fairly sure Dragon Quest did too. I'm pretty sure if they got some spotlight they'd sell.
On the plus side I did get 15 Mii Streetpass folk (Two of which had Cave Story as theirs….HMMM.)

I guess they just underestimates the popularity of some games.

Tales of the Abyss is out already? Didn't know that.
I need to do some 3DS shopping it seems. Need to get Super Mario 3D land, Tales of the Abyss and probably even Mario Kart 7.

Its online only apparently, but yeah. My mom's apparently had it for a few weeks now aside for Christmas.
-
Did some searching and its only in Europe right now. America's not till like Jan 12 or something.
Also say Tales of Graces comes out sometime aroudn then too. Not sure what version ps3 or wii, but considering how bad i heard the wii version performed i'm going to assume ps3.
-
I'm only interested in Tales of the Abyss because I never got it last gen. It doesn't hit the States until February according to Amazon.
-
Sounds pretty awesome to me. I was kinda hoping this is what the special thing for the DQ 25th anniversary woulda been but nope :/
-
they havn't made a bad nintendo game yet so i think it could go well
They've released the Jap trailer for Kid Icarus in English
[http://uk.ign.com/videos/2011/12/13/kid-icarus-uprising-pit-soarsI](http://uk.ign.com/videos/2011/12/13/kid-icarus-uprising-pit-soars)'m severly dissapointed that dark pit doesn't say yo at the end, also he sounds a bit like riku but maybe that's just me
-
So did you all see the Q1 line-up yet?
It's nice to see Kid Icarus get a release date, but where the hell are Animal Crossing 3DS and Paper Mario 3DS? They were announced back at E3 2010 and were the system selling titles for me personally. I am sick and tired of waiting.
-
The games are:
F-Zero: Maximum Velocity
Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island
Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap
Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
Kirby & The Amazing Mirror
Mario Kart: Super Circuit
Mario vs. Donkey Kong
Metroid Fusion
Wario Land 4
WarioWare, Inc.: Mega MicrogamesAnd they will be available on the 16th in Japan
-
Nice lineup. I don't think Amazing Mirror ever came out in the UK at all so~
Only one I don't care for is F-Zero but still nice.
