The 3DS looks great! Damn I didnt think that I would be seeing a 3d portable until 5 or 6 years into the future. Here an initial review for any one interested:

Emulated N64 in 3D on the handheld would make this device close to perfection.
Please Nintendo, have the red/black one available at launch. I want to put the Mario/Super Mushroom on it.
Or possibly the Chicago Bulls logo.
In that case, have a gold and purple colored one available at launch as well.
Well, this is piquing my interest more than I thought it would.
I'm most excited about Paper Mario 3DS, I wonder what the chain chomp partner will look like in the final game, if the final game will still have one.

It's just come true.
The technology behind this 3DS is interesting, I definitely did not see this coming. They keep getting this good and the next thing I'll be expecting from them is holograms and virtual reality suits.
It is interesting that with all the focus Sony has been putting on 3D lately that it is Nintendo that is enjoying the 3D spotlight. I suppose the pressure is on Sony now, most of the comments I have seen about the 3DS and Nintendo upcoming game catalog have been very positive. Definitely a shift from the usual complaining I see about 3D on the parts of some people.
Are those solarized colors? The Purple one looks badass! (A nice Decepticon counterpoint to my red Autobot DSLite)
While I actually like the idea of non-glasses 3D, gonna say that pumping the technological aspect is a major problem, like the issue with Hollywood. Instead of investing time into engaging gameplay, Nintendo is taking the easier route of gimmicking the technology to create the illusion it's progressive. Granted, it's a tougher route than hiring some unemployed FF fanfictionist to write a sap story for a movie-game, but more challenging gameplay for new games would be better welcomed than the visual makeover.
I mean, OoT is still OoT, 3D or not. Until gamers are actually riding Epona or simulating intercourse with Ruto, I'm not going to be moved by Nintendo's efforts to bring its games into the third dimension.

This 3DS machine is still blowing me away. It's version of Super Street Fighter IV looks like the console version to me. .__.;
And Paper Mario is making me at a loss for words.
Yeah the more pics I see of the games the more I want that … and I never wanted to buy a handheld again, since it is so addictive lol

I'm personally just sick of the fact that we have the same two whiney pretty boys we've had in just about every game thus far. Despite them saying KH2 was Sora's Last Adventure -_-

The fandom pretty much ruined KH for me. Not the videogame fans over the web, it's the cosplay+yaoi fans I see at conventions. Gay undertones in the videogames, I'm okay with and will play along with the lulz. Seeing underage kids actually act them out at conventions and trying to explain that to my nieces? Not cool.

This was my problem too. Also the fact the excessive pretty boys. I have no problem with pretty boys in games/anime to an extent. But when There's like 20 pretty boys that make up the case (add in some 10 year old girls too.) makes me feel urgh.
I suppose there's still the Disney Princess eye-candy.
I'm extremely surprised at how good the graphics for this things are. I'm also glad that you can turn the 3D off, though I'm not sure how you can have a middle ground between 3D and not 3D :ermm: . I can't wait to see what kind of games Nintendo can come up with for this after all these franchises are released.
Give me portable Smash Bros. on my 3DS, please!

There are two setting for tweaking 3D. Separation level (probably what the slider changes) and convergence. Convergence will be locked I assume so there wont be a any changes like that.
In order to get a a more pronounced 3D effect separation is increased. To lessen the 3D effect the separation is decreased. 0 separation between the two images results in 2D.
Imagine layers, the control brings more separation between the layers, while it's off, all the layers converge.

The last game on the DS killed Kingdom Hearts for me. (365/2 days or something like that)

I may not be a fan of the Wii but I am definitely picking this up, although probably not on launch day but I will.
That Metal Gear Solid footage looks great. It's really something to see a handheld, a Nintendo handheld, putting out graphics on par with the PS2.

As relayed by Andriasang, Japan business daily Nikkei reported today that the 3DS will also let gamers install multiple full games to the handheld's internal memory. Installed games can then be selected from the 3DS's main menu.
Nikkei reportedly did not delve into the number of games that can be installed or any specifics of the process. However, it did state that the feature eliminates gamers' need to carry cartridges with them while on the go.
Kinda like what you can do with the 360, only for that you need a hardrive.

When I saw the 3D affect I was very impressed! It blew my mind!
For those who have actually seen the 3DS in person: The inside of the top flip-up section, is it just black or is that always just the lighting playing off of the solarized color?
I always prefer my hanhelds to be one color, the current multi-colored DS Lites irk me (Glossy Red/Blue only on the top layer, but black everywhere else)

Some were black on the inside, and then I saw other 3DS's that were just one solid color entirely.
