Frankly, I don't like Chopper as much as I used to. I simply cannot take him seriously now that his head is >50% his body mass. If you look at his design around the time of Water 7, it was pretty much ideal. The fact that he grew considerably in walk point hardly makes up for it.

I just realized how deformed Chopper's design has gotten since Drum.
That's because he has been doing experiments on himself the whole time. He's made his brain so big he had to use bits of his body to make his head big enough to hold it. Unbeknownst to the rest of the crew Chopper is actually a really creepy bastard and only pretends to be cute and cuddly.

Are you mentally retarded? The first chapter of One Piece was ALSO called Romance Dawn. Which was a) obviously a reference to the one shots he made, and b) an accurate description of the kind of adventurous spirit Oda wanted to convey. "This chapter marks the dawn of a new, romantic adventure!"
