The proportions of most characters are off or "inhuman", as you say. It's the style. You should be used to stuff like this by now.
Not always. Nami has been drawn more anatomically correct in the past. I mean, Nami's waistline here is more along the lines of Miss Double Finger…in the past, Nami, Vivi, and Robin had tiny waists, but ... it's hard to describe.
I do agree that the way Oda draws women is one of the things I like least about One Piece.

Wow, good eye. I had to double check, but it appears that you're correct. I doubt there are two areas that look the same on Grove 12.
First, I agree that I wish the women had a bit more girth to their waistlines. However, I disagree that this is somehow in opposition to Oda's standards. It's one of the few aspects of his drawing that I don't like, but it is his standard.

I really don't get why there are people who think Boa will join the Mugiwara crew, esp since she's a captain, herself, not to mention a shichibukai (or a former, depending on the decision about her actions at marineford)
And in Duval's case, it's unlikely as well. Many times Luffy outright asks a person to join his crew early on (chopper, brook, nami, etc), or at least agrees easily to have them join him (robin, franky). Also, he doesn't have a specific job/profession/specialty unlike the others.

Well, I never considered Duval as a nakama, but he could be useful. Couldn't he just be the ship keeper ? Allowing the WHOLE crew to visit new islands altogether, without too much worries for the ship (plus a few Den Den Mushi for warning, if needed).

he was able to fight toe to toe against gold roger, none of the admirals can do that. Im pretty sure that luffy can take on VA,s the crew could as well, although the whole crew vs an admiral, it really depends, I think that the luffy crew could beat kizaru, but not aokiji and definately not akainu

The Straw hats having to take on a VA as a group would be really underwhelming and stupid. Garp has always been an exception. I don’t think anyone has made a big deal about any of the VAs refusing an Admiral position, but that could have changed as a VA may have been offered an Admiral position, but it seems very unlikely as the power of a VA is way below the level of an Admiral. The VAs ganging up on certain characters make them really tough doesn’t it? Ganging up on rookies and using seastone handcuffs on a distracted opponent, then 5 of them getting pwned in one hit by Whitebeard. I’m not saying the VAs are pansies but the top Straw hats, singlehandedly, should each be able to defeat one after a difficult battle.

About the Chopper thing. I'm posting this just in case.
The "he should've been able to recognize their scents" is canceled because in the Enies Lobby arc, Chopper couldn't even recognize Usopp under Sogeking's mask. You'd think he would be able to sniff Usopp out then, but no. So it's not improbable that Chopper cannot recognize the fakes.
And 2 years have passed, which is a longer time than Chopper spent traveling with the crew.
It's just a running gag. Chopper has always been susceptible to lies and disguises. He even believed Nami when she lied and said "I'm a man!" in Thriller Bark. And this chapter is doing the same, just showing Chopper's usual naivety and adorable dumbness.
And Chopper isn't blind. The stick he is holding is homage to Skypeia, where Chopper liked Luffy's walking stick so much, he imitated him, and he started to carry a stick around for adventures. Like how he held a stick in Strong World. To Luffy and Chopper, a stick is like a symbol of "Yeah I'm ready for adventure!!!"
I guess that because it's been a while since we've seen this aspect of Chopper, some people got confused.

I've been reading the whole thread till now and theres nothing much to comment on about, since almost everything that i could think of was discussed, but i would like to point out the convo about bountys, i have never got thinking much about them and didnt know about this inflaction thing, really interesting and does make sense a lot, i think its really fun how people can get inside of a history in the way i've never thought, though now i started doing it aswell, even i already used to with some friends.
I've met ap forums just recently, never was really a fan of spoilers and used to avoid them to death, but since i met this site i really enjoy staying up all night to check each news as soon as they come out, lol. This is another account i made recently but i just naturally lurks anyway so doesnt matter.
Thumbs up for this forum, i think its funny somethings like the whole Zoro's arm thing (i couldnt read the whole spoiler thread of this week, so annoying lol, but i got WOW with Aohige jumping on sites each time one went down XD) its really awesome how One Piece can be discussed so further in places like this, and theres so much more content too, really nice.
