So there are five terms then?
Don't count on it.
@Robo:
Are there less than 4 nonvariable numbers?
As I see it, yes.
-
Uh… six?
-
-
Are there exactly 2 nonvariable numbers?

@Robo:
Are there exactly 2 nonvariable numbers?
Outlook not so good.

Are there 3 nonvariable numbers?
-
@Robo:
Are there 3 nonvariable numbers?
As I see it, yes.

4 variables and 3 nonvariables?
-
Are any of the variables in the bonus made up of multiple values (much like the variables from the base portion)?

this topic has become the "topic of stats?
it would be better to talk about the tournament itself?Nice sig. Did you come up with it by yourself or am I missing something?
Also, looks like Kitsune's getting closer to solving this mystery.
-
Will I find good fortune in the upcoming week?

Looks like nobody solved the mystery yet..

HINTS PART 1
! Well, I made a list of all the useful hints given to us so far. Different interpretations of the hints may be taken. Different from my interpretations. All of this will either confuse you more or actually help.
! Individual Hints
#1
! >! @Ubiq:
! > I can see how you might think percentages play a role in it and I guess it does to an extent, but it's a lot more limited than you'd think.
! @Ubiq:
! > Keep in mind that if it's true of one bounty, it must be true of all of them.
! @Ubiq:
! > Oh. Well. This is the last hint I'll give in any fashion other than Magic 8 Ball: the amount of the increase is irrelevant to the size of the initial bounty; beginning or end. Whitebeard's bounty went up by 90%, but the bonus is not 90% of his bounty if you get my drift. Magic 8 Ball Responses
! #2
! Same formula before the tweaking.
! >! @Kitsune:
! > Say, is the same formula that applies to Round 3's variables applied to Round 4's variable as well BEFORE the tweaking happens.
! @Ubiq:
! > As I see it, yes. #3
! Round 4 variable
! >! @Kitsune:
! > Does Round 4's variable depend solely on the tweaking? If that makes sense.
! @Ubiq:
! > Very doubtful. #4
! The tweaking did not affect Garp the most and Shanks the least.
! >! @Kitsune:
! > So whatever this tweaking is, Garp was affected the most, and Shanks the least… Hmm...
! @Ubiq:
! > Don't count on it. #5
! Mysterious variable is not constant between Smoker and Hiriluk.
! >! @Kitsune:
! > So, whatever this variable may be, it is constant between Smoker and Hiruluk, then?
! @Ubiq:
! > Don't count on it #6
! The bonuses rank something.
! >! @Kitsune:
! > Are these bonuses ranking something, then?
! @Ubiq:
! > Outlook good #7
! Opponents have no affect on the numbers. (Note: 4th Round opponents do not affect the numbers. 3rd Round bounties still apply. See hint #18)
! >! @Kitsune:
! > And these numbers have NOTHING to do with their opponents, correct?
! @Ubiq:
! > It is decidedly so. #8
! Hiriluk and Smoker tie in some sort of measurement. (Note: They do not share a constant variable though. See hint #5)
! >! @Kitsune:
! > So whatever is being measured here, Hiruluk and Smoker happen to tie in it?
! @Ubiq:
! > It is decidedly so. #9
! Numbers have nothing to do with match order.
! >! @Kitsune:
! > Does it have anything to do with… match order?
! @Ubiq:
! > Very Doubtful #10
! Bonus is not a single statistic.
! >! @Kitsune:
! > So is the bonus a single statistic?
! @Ubiq:
! > My sources say no. #11
! The bonus is a sum of multiple statistics and a product.
! >! @Kitsune:
! > Is it a sum of multiple statistics?
! @Ubiq:
! > Signs point to yes.
! @Kitsune:
! > Or a product?
! @Ubiq:
! > Outlook good. #12
! Has nothing to do with post or view count.
! >! @Kitsune:
! > Does it have anything to do with a post or view count?
! @Ubiq:
! > Don't count on it. #13
! Has nothing to do with a character's margin of victory.
! >! @Kitsune:
! > Does it have anything to do with a character's margin of victory?
! @Ubiq:
! > Outlook not so good. #14
! The formula adds more than three numbers.
! >! @metteminne:
! > does the formular add more than three number?
! @Ubiq:
! > Without a doubt A Different Look On Things
#15
! Ranking the bonuses from least to greatest.
! >! @RobbyBevard:
! > Try ranking the characters bonuses lowest to highest, instead of highest to lowest.
! @Kitsune:
! > Roger- 613
Luffy- 614
Shanks- 624
Rayleigh- 802
Smoker- 1574
Hiruluk- 1574
Chopper- 1972
Noland- 2431
WB- 2987
Garp- 5000Hmmm….
! @RobbyBevard:
! > Think about the hint I gave and why I would think doing that would make a difference. Order Of Appearance?
! #16
! >! @RobbyBevard:
! > You keep getting on the right path and then abandoning it, even after I basically confirm it.
! @Kitsune:
! > Are you referring to the order of appearance?
! @Kitsune:
! > Assuming the order of appearance happens to be a variable, how can that even be quantified?
! @RobbyBevard:
! > When did they appear?
! More Individual Hints
! #17
! >! @Ubiq:
! > No algebra involved; just arithmetic.
! @Ubiq:
! > Garp's "bounty" was a bit of an oddball despite being calculated the exact same way as everybody else. #18
! 3rd Round formula applies and was not tweaked.
! >! @Kitsune:
! > Does it involve a character's past opponents in any way?
! @Ubiq:
! > Only to the extent that the Third Round bounties did. As previously stated, the formula used in the Third Round remains in the current version. It was not tweaked. The rest is all new though. #19
! 0's matter to a certain extent.
! >! @Kitsune:
! > Wait, so the zeroes behind the bounty are significant?
! @Ubiq:
! > Some of them are, yes.HINTS PART 2
! #20
! No subtraction involved.
! >! @Outerspec:
! > I have a question for any of the mods who know. Is subtraction involved?
! @Ubiq:
! > My reply is no. #21
! Measurements for variables do not come from anime.
! >! @Kitsune:
! > Are the measurements for one of the variables taken from what anime episode they appear in?
! @Ubiq:
! > Don't count on it. #22
! Value of variable is measured by something else.
! >! @Kitsune:
! > Or is the value of the variable something else?
! @Ubiq:
! > It is decidedly so. #23
! No rearrangement of digits involved.
! >! @Robo:
! > Is the rearrangement of digits involved?
! @Ubiq:
! > Don't count on it. #24
! Garp's value is not based on his cover story appearance.
! >! @Kitsune:
! > Is Garp's value based on his cover story appearance?
! @Ubiq:
! > Don't count on it. #25
! Norland's appearance is not based on his first appearance in the flashback. It is based on his storybook appearance.
! >! @ultimateclima:
! > Was Norland's appearance based on his first appearance in the flashback?
! @Ubiq:
! > Don't count on it.
! @ultimateclima:
! > Or was it during his storybook appearance?
! @Ubiq:
! > Outlook good. #26
! Variables are not used more than once.

! Additional variable are brought in from prior rounds.
! >! @Kitsune:
! > Except for the variables already established in Round 3, are any additional variable brought in from prior rounds?

! There are exactly 4 variables.
! >! @Robo:
! > are there exactly 4 variables?
! @Ubiq:
! > As I see it, yes. #30
! The formula from Round 3 is 1 variable.
! >! @Kitsune:
! > Do you consider the formula from Round 3 to be one variable?
! @Ubiq:
! > As I see it, yes. #31
! There are other signs other than multiplication and addition. (Note: No subtraction, see #20)

! >! @Kitsune:
! > (a+b+c)+((d+e*f)/g)?(a+b+c)+(d+(e*f)/g)?

Is the first number/ symbol/ sign in the equation W?
-
BTW, quick note: Woot. Norland broke 150. I'm glad I was right in one aspect. :)
-
Well, I'm taking a break from all of this. I think it just got more confusing with all those hints. I don't know, maybe the answer became more obvious to you all. Good luck. ^_-
-
I think it just got more confusing with all those hints.
Yeah, they pretty much eliminated all my theories. Not nice.
-
BTW, quick note: Woot. Norland broke 150. I'm glad I was right in one aspect. :)
Yeah I called it wrong. I didn't think he would break 100, glad to see Norland get some love.
-
Norland deserves that love.
-
yay love for Norland!
can't wait for Bon's match. Dragon's going down down down down down.
-
Yes! The return of Okama Hattori!!! XD
Hopefully I'll be able to watch the match tomorrow. I have an open hour in school, so I can
avoid doing my math homeworkenjoy more of the awesomeness. I am positively dying to see God's revenge + Friendship demolish Mr. Hype as it happens. -
The revolution army supports Dragon.
-
No we don't
-
I wasn't a big fan of simplifying the bounty equation for this round, but it seems to have worked out well. Good show Robby and Ubiq. :ninja:

and kitsune..this sig was basead on what i fell about the members,or how they behave on the forumsYou know what the interesting thing is? this one site said that some of the Star's opposing cards are Devil, Tower, and Moon, which according to the chart means Chrissie, Kairouseki, and Vepe (makes no sense). The Fool is the only one you have listed which is supposed to be reinforcing to me, but that's Robby. Did you make this list before or after Robby's evil twin took over? :ninja:
This still doesn't help solve the mystery of whether Sea or Kitsune is better for me at all. Sea stole me away from Kitsune after all. :ninja:
on topic: The match tomorrow is going to be epic.
-
i hope the next game will be close, with DD winning obviously.
-
I'm sensing a Whitebeard vs. Bon final.
-
Kitsune was your friend from the start though, Marimo.
-
I'm sensing a Whitebeard vs. Bon final.
I wish people would stop saying that.
Fate hates know it alls.
He'll random draw them together sooner just to spite us all.
-
Kitsune was your friend from the start though, Marimo.
Friendship is so moving… :cwy:
So explain to me how a friend lets his student get captured so easily by Sea. I mean, he literally just walked up and snatched me away. As soon as you solve the mystery behind the bounty numbers, you'll come save me right? I can only assume that's the reason why I'm still a hostage.

I can see the truth in that. I always thought Fate was a she though. Unless you were referring to one of the mods will randomly draw them together and the mod will be a he. I guess it all depends on how you view Fate.

Who cares about a bunch of fakey made up bounty images
