There were some hilarious memes for that LVG fall. Dafuq was he thinking anyway
Hahahahaha Aresenal Hahahahaha who thought Leicester would've gained a point after they drew yesterday. Were back in the top 4 race love it we take City place fecking Pep playing Europa next season be hilarious.
Hahahaha Premier League strikes again! "Leicester leaves the top spot at Tottenham's mercy";"Man City still have a word to say in the title race". Bam, all 3 teams behind Leicester lose and the latter actualy gain a point! And if they win on saturday and Arsenal-Spurs ends in a draw, they go 5 points clear from both teams again! Furthermore, Man United are level with City now, although City has a match postponed left. And West Ham are right behind. And Chelsea sooner or later seems to be arriving in Europa League positions. Holy crap. What an amazing year in terms of how crappy the english top teams are in the PL.

It still makes me smile that when Leicester were about to go into their 3 match run with Liverpool, City and Arsenal,
people said "this is where the wheels come off, they're in trouble here."
But nope! They took 6 points from 9, and it's thanks to those points that they're still top. Awesome stuff.

Yeah, and they lost against Arsenal in the stoppage time! Imagine if they had drawn! Arsenal would be sitting 8 points from the top, almost at Man United's reach, and Leicester would have 4 points of advantage over Spurs. That one goal made this difference. Let's just hope that Spurs and Arsenal draw this weekend and the foxes enlarge the distance at the top to 5 points. The hardest matches until the end that are left for them are Man United and Chelsea, near the end, I think. Tottenham is about to enter their toughest period of the season and they have to contend with Dortmund in the EL!!
Take a look at Leicester's fixtures:
Watford (A)
Newcastle
Crystal Palace (A)
Southampton
Sunderland (A)
West Ham
Swansea
MU (A)
Everton
Chelsea (A)
They have lost only once at home so out of the 5 home games, they can possibly snatch away 12 points considering the teams are all in the mid table or lower end of it except for the weird away form of Everton in the way. So they can probably get at least 69 points
For the major away games, they have MU and unfortunately Chelsea as their last game. I think if Spurs, City, MU, Arsenal can up their game and keep up the chase, the last 3 Leicester games can prove to be very critical - MU, Everton and Chelsea
TOTALLY want Leicester to win the cup now!

A list of convenient fixtures for Leicester on paper but you have to remember that Kante is still out and that their counterattacking style doesn't always work against lower/midtable teams. Heck, I'm all for them taking the cup but it's still a tough road ahead of them.
If Spurs win the NLD, I'm backing them for the title.
London derby ends in a draw and Leicester pull five points ahead- ideal results!
I'm actually pretty confident that if Leicester manage to win their next 6 games in March and April, they will reach the last 3 colossal matches with enough of an advantage to need only 1 or 2 draws in order to win the PL. Winning the next 6 matches, however, is not a foregone conclusion. The PL has shown us how it works and surprises happen all the time.

Leicester vs
Newcastle (H)
CPalace (A)
Soton (H)
Sunderland (A)
WHUnited (H)
Swansea (H)
Soton and especially West Ham should prove to be difficult run-ins. The rest seems manageable.
On another note, how's it going for Porto?

Well, Soton isn't as strong as the last 2 years now, they had a good run for about a month that put them back in the top half of the table, but still. Leicester playing at home can manage it, I think. West Ham is a really tricky one, though.
Porto has seen better days. Much better days. Benfica beat Sporting at Alvalade yesterday, which makes Benfica the leaders for the first time this season. If Porto can beat Braga today, which is gonna be tough, we can get 3 points behind the leaders and only 1 behind Sporting. The problem is that Benfica has few tough games left in the Liga, while Porto and Sporting must face each other. The eagles are now in a privileged position to conquer their 3rd title in a row, after the terrible start to the season they had. They also have a good chance to reach the quarters of the UCL, which would be great for the portuguese UEFA standings, since Porto and Sporting failed miserably against Dortmund and Bayer 04. We didn't even try. We just played defensively in order to not get raped. In the end, we still have the Cup final against Braga for a consolation prize, but Braga is going to play better than ever in that match, since it's their chance to win a title they haven't won in like 50 years and a revenge for last season's defeat against Sporting. Overall… it's looking so-so for Porto. We've seen worse days this season, but we've fallen quite a bit since the Villas Boas year.
Yep... Braga 3-1 FC Porto. The liga's out of our reach now. The squad needs a cleaning and we need an actual manager. Please come back, AVB.

It's even more annoying (and somewhat embarrassing) for Sporting not to be #1, what with Jesus leaving Benfica only for the team to be winning the league without him anyway (can Jonas stop scorin please?). And yea, Porto's situation isn't looking too bright either. :/ I'm not even sure whether any of their talents will be bought this summer.
Watch Liverpool kick some MU ass tonight. Or watch LVG keep trolling by thrashing the Reds after losing to freakin Westbrom.

I can't see Liverpool getting through Man United, to be honest. Both teams kind of suck right now. But Loserpool still sucks the most, in the end. It has been in crap for around 25 years, other than that odd UCL and it will continue being as long as the administration doesn't leave Klopp (or whoever is the manager, for that matter) do whatever he wants with the squad. It's the same with Madrid. As long as Perez keeps interfering with the manager's job, the club will barely know success and will stay in Barcelona's shadow. And if they don't get back to being on Barca's level soon, they may well see Atlético enjoy a few more years ahead of them as Spain's 2nd team.
Oh crap PSG vs Barca soon then? I really wouldn't prefer watching Di Maria running through Barca flanks anytime soon
Doesn't look good for Leverkusen and Sparta now but the Liverpool match made up for that BIIIG time. Awesome!

Wow, I couldn't have been more wrong. Damn. Man United had a nice run for a couple of games, but they're back to mediocrity. Go Loserpool!
Also, Dortmund trashing Tottenham was hilarious and beautiful (although Spurs only had 4 or 5 of the usual starting 11…)

It's Pochi's fault for screwing that one up. Letting the chance of scoring an away goal slip away and having to rely on overcoming a 3-goal deficit while avoiding an away goal from the other end will be pretty much impossible in my book. Not that I'm complaining, mind you. Tuchel's Dortmund is a beauty to watch and hopefully something that will still exist in its entirety next season…
LVG keeps testing Woody's patience it seems. But hey, the FA cup is a prestigious title as well :'D

Must I remind you that 2 FA Cups in 11 years have kept Arsène Wenger at mighty Arsenal's helm? That means the FA Cup is more prestigious than the Champions League, since Ancelotti was fired after winning "just" 1 in 2 years of managing Madrid :ninja:
Arsenal did what they do best while MU actually managed not to lose against West Ham. Color me surprised there!
While we're at it, some Barca goodies from yesterday's match:

That just reminds me of how much I hate the FA Cup replays. I got to the end of today's match and I just felt like I had lost 2 hours of my life for nothing. They're just going to play another match and that one is THE actual match. What I saw today counts for shit. I just hope West Ham seals the deal at home. Seeing West Ham, Everton, Watford and Crystal Palace in Wembley to fight for the FA Cup has a nice ring to it. They're 4 of the nicest teams to watch from the middle class of the PL. But I have to admit that WHU played like shit today in Old Trafford. They deserved that goal from Martial in the end. Funniest of all was how much Arsenal tried to score but in the end nothing worked. That team is hilarious. This basically means Wenger is finished, right? No way they will allow him YET another season!

Exactly! What's the point in complaining about your difficult and tight PL schedule (conveniently using that as an excuse for regular failure in Europe) if you then go on to play stupid and redundant replays? Just add ET and penalties like any other sane league does, ffs!
I wonder how long Arsenal's seasonal slapstick will continue to keep going… Sanchez must by now be cursing the gods for putting him in that team, making him part of the famous injured squad, while Özil has clearly outgrown the team. Can't be any fun to play beautiful passes and create unreal chances only for the likes of Giroud, Welbeck or Walcott to waste them spectacularly.
Juve seriously?! What the heck was that
Bayern was 70 minutes just a mess.
But getting back and defeating Juve in overtime was simply amazing.
Great game and normally an italian team never gives away such a lead^^
Vidal was strong and Müller is just priceless, but with Coman the game changed.
Alaba had his weakest game for Bayern EVER, but i also thought Ribery was just horrendous. Dribbling after dribbling with zero success.
Take that van Ghaal! Great game from Liverpool again. I hope they avoid Sevilla and Dortmund next round.

Liverpool were shit just that they were playing a team and manger with no balls or ambition. LVG is just do the bare minimum until he fucks off at the end of the season.
CL match-ups:
Barca vs ATM
Bayern vs Benfica
Real vs Wolfsburg
PSG vs ManCity
Europaleague match-ups:
Dortmund vs Liverpool
Bilbao vs Sevilla
Braga vs Shakhtar Donetzk
Villareal vs Sparta Prague
Predict away, ladies and gentlemen!
Barcelona* - Atletico Madrid
Bayern Munich* - Benfica
Vfl Wolfsburg - Real Madrid*
Paris Saint Germain* - Manchester City
I don't think we'll be having any surprises here. Barca - Atletico would be the match to look out for. As for Europa League:-
Villarreal* - AC Sparta Prague
Athletic Bilbao - Sevilla*
Braga - Shakhtar Donetzk*
Borussia Dortmund* - Liverpool
The Dortmund - Liverpool draw looks really promising! It is almost poetic.
^certainly.
The match-ups are so utterly predictable that part of you can't help worry about some sort of fixing… And while I'm happy that Barca will be among them, the final four shall once again be composed of Barca, FCB, Real and wildcard.
The Europa League on the other hand remains the exciting one with the later stages being filled with different teams every year (bar 1-2 regular contenders)
In the CL i can just agree that Barca, Muinich and Real will come into the semifinals joined by PSG.
Liverpool vs Dortmund was my hope for the final, but at least we get this match up.
Dortmund vs Liverpool
Bilbao vs Sevilla
Braga vs Shakhtar Donetzk
Villareal vs Sparta Prague, here iam would love to see Sparta advance, but i think Villareal is way to strong in defense.
May he rest in peace…

And what an amazing goal that was! Simply superb! You gotta love Vardy and Leicester this season!

The major downside being that now the English are all riled up and think they actually stand a chance in the Euros this summer.
…they just never learn.
And what's so wrong with optimism and supporting your country's efforts?
While we're still defensively frail, we've got some goalscorers in the team now who are playing well and could pull off some feats on the right day.
And despite our results at the 2014 world cup, I'm sure it was widely acknowledged that we played really well in our matches and didn't disgrace ourselves.
We also got to the quarter finals of Euro 2012, only going out on penalties (our eternal Achilles Heel).
Basically, performances are on the rise, and there's no reason we can't pull something off.
That's what being a fan is about. Believe.
The whole forum would have been guaranteed to laugh if Leicester fans claimed to be title contenders before this season started.
And I mean sure, if you're just talking about obnoxiously overconfident and cocky fans, then I agree with you,
but England seems to be the only team this forum unfairly picks on when international tournaments come around,
and it honestly confuses me and makes me feel uncomfortable.
"El Clasico" my ass. The first half was about who could hit the opposing players harder. Lets see what the second half holds for us -_-
Also, that Suarez miss…..
That was the worst play by Barcelona I have seen for a long time

I could write a lot about the match but it all boils down to various factors (i.e. MSN being in South America, rest of the team playing like shit, Casemiro being a freakin wall, ref a joke) coming together. Still, it's good. That needless unbeaten streak is over and I bet there's some pressure gone with it.

The one time I'm able to catch this fixture on tv, and it had to be like this…
God damn it!

Real Madrid came with a good plan. It was obvious from the word go that they never came out of their half to commit attacks. They played 4 4 1 with hardly a bunch of yards between their 4 4 with a high backline. It's just after the second half that they slowly ventured out to pressure barcas backline a bit with a moderate V. Barca has a CL fixture this week hence they too weren't very eager to press the opponents. They were also in a good amount of lead in the table so they weren't eager to step it up and try to win
But, it's the El Clasico! I don't know why they have started to treat even that into just another league game to not commit themselves completely like they used to just because they have the league under control. I haven't checked up with the stats but the running done by barca would significantly be lower than other games because of the looming tues fixture.
Overall, this was a very un-Clasico game that I wish I could forget
Leicester are now 7 points clear with six games to go!
What a determined and resilient performance, especially from captain Wes Morgan.
They managed to keep the ball near the corner flag for over 3 consecutive minutes near the end. Awesome stuff.
To think that this time last season Leicester were sitting at the bottom of the league
A bad player they said
His first touch and control are terrible they said
(to be fair, his first touch and control are still dreadful)

Holy crap I saw that.
The secong goal was funny, when he fell.
Can I ask you to break his legs? He is still dreadful for our NT and this will make sure he will be called.
This is worth a declaration of war.
Maybe it's a french championship thing. Nelson Oliveira also managed to score 8 goals there.

If its any concern he looks like he's injured himself every few minutes, only to carry on limping across the pitch for the rest of the game. I'm sure he'll get injured before the euros
He did score 13 goals in 18 games one season for braga … I'm sure he has SOME quality. Maybe he's just taller than defenders. I think that's it. That crazy goal is just a fluke among flukes
Well, that is a pretty embarrassing start into this week for our most beloved sport. With Messi and Neymar, and of course a whole bunch of FIFA officials on the Panama Paper. On top of that we have this doctor doping football players.
At least on thursday there is some romance left with Dortmund vs Liverpool.
