not so negative please (optimism for the win haha) - remember Schalke in Madrid last year ;)
Just seen first goal - offside; rocky start^^ -
I'm crying… No matter if we will fail at the end
-
-
how about that…great victory for Wolfsburg...and how good was Draxler? that was just a brillant game from the guy...
-
Still in awe
My biggest suprise has been Henrique. First game from the start… and against Real he has done such a match
-
Yeah, seems like a game against Real is bringing out the best in young players (same as Sané last year).
But all in all what a great performance from Wolfsburg after such a messy game in the Bundesliga last Friday…Hopefully they manage to score in Madrid.Dont think the gameplan of Madrid will change that much, which leaves them vulnerable for counter attacks...
One goal surley is possible! -
How crazy is it that after that really convenient draw that put Barça, Madrid, Bayern and Paris all separated against the "weaker" teams, all of said "weaker" teams have done a nice first leg and have a chance to go through when they take the match home (well… when they visit Madrid, in Wolfsburg's case)?
In the end, the most noticeable thing this week was the appalling refereeing. Torres being sent off suspiciously against Barça, when Atlético were winning and being better, Suarez being forgiven 2 red cards, Busquets being forgiven a first yellow card, Lahm clearly handling the ball inside the area but no penalty for Benfica, PSG having the 2nd goal validated despite Zlatan being off side and interfering in the action, Ronaldo's goal invalidated by an inexistent offside... and so on. It was just terrible in all games, from all angles. What the hell happened, man?
-
Honestly did not expect Liverpool to put up such a fight. Amazing match and the atmosphere!
-
That Villarreal foul, ouch, NOT ok Soldado
Well, this could be difficult for Dortmund next week.
-
Is Barca bored by La Liga? That the reason they're losing to Real Madrid and away to Sociedad? Fuckin hell
-
West ham…............
-
Aaand Vardy's back scoring, ladies and gentlemen. Wonderful brace that settled the tie.
-
The finish line is in sight!
Keep the train moving, Leicester! CHOO CHOO! -
After today's result this feels appropriate. It's also pretty darn funny.
-
Can totally see Mourinho to PSG. Blanc messed that up soooo badly
-
Hahaha congrats to Man. City! It's good to see an english team come so far! As for Wolfsburg… it was fun while it lasted. Ronaldo took care of it well today.
-

Yep and United will be stuck with this clown called LVG or god forbid Giggs scary thought. Maybe Fergie making a deal with the Devil is true certainly feels this at the moment.
-
Barca is out…again the champion can´t defend his title.
Atletico really had the mentality to win it this time, after losing two years ago so bitter.
Definitely the team i wouldn´t want to face next^^Semifinals predictions:
Bayern vs Man City Guardiola´s old team vs his new one gives enough story material
Real vs Atletico The revenge from two years ago -
you know… i kinda dont want to see either real nor bayern in finals of CL xD
-
The best thing about yesterday's match was the burger I had.
ATM played like a movable wall (i.e. on top of their game) while Barca's front three- Messi in particular- were toothless. Heck, the whole team played like they were up 3-0 on aggregate. Fuck, a deserved loss. The CL curse baring its fangs. Fuckin' Panama. Pick your poison, fellas.
-
Barcelona have chosen the worst time to hit a dip in their form. Suarez and Rakitic lost form few months back followed by the forwards including Messi. And Barca would definitely be on the lookout for some fullbacks this summer transfer window
-
That was one hell of a match at Anfield!
-
Liverpool with the wonder come back. English football in Europe ain't dead yet!
-
Semifinals
Atletico Madrid vs Bayern
Manchester City vs Real MadridPerfect draw in my eyes. Going for an all Spanish CL final.
Europa League semis
Shakhtar Donetsk vs Sevilla
Villarreal vs LiverpoolAnd again, going for an all Spanish final here as well.
-
Bayern vs Real and Sevilla vs Liverpool would be my wish for the finals.
-
As expected, Leicester lost point to WHU. Still, I'm glad they managed to fight back and get that draw.
To those who were able to actually watch the match- were the penalty decisions correct? Vardy send off legitimate?
-
Yeah, I already had my head in my hands when he went down.
I knew what would happen. No debate about it in the commentary either.
But regardless, super jazzed that they never gave up and clinched the point.
That's what champions are supposed to do, every point will count.
It's determined games like this that see teams over the line. -
The Leicester train just keeps on rolling~
Sunday's match against MU should be darn nice what with the latter getting better lately.
-
Still tickled by the possibility of Chelsea, last season's champions, giving the guard of honor to Leicester after the final match.
-
And that seals it! … almost. Tottenham screws up and Leicester can be champions in the Theater of Dreams, of all places!! Let's hope they manage to beat United next sunday and claim the title! :)
-
Wow, can't believe Spurs bottled that match.
I didn't see much of it, as I was helping my local pub with a skittles match,
but I still jumped for joy when I came back and saw it was 1-1 with a couple minutes to go.ONE MORE WIN! Come on Leicester!
-
ATLÉEEEEEEEEEEEEEETI! 1 small step closer to UCL glory! Please give it to us this season! We're going to avenge the finals lost in 1974 against Bayern and 2014 against Madrid! We must!
-
Congratulations to Leicester!
-
They freakin did it. Congrats to the Foxes! :D
-
It's like Hazard was waiting the whole season just for this moment.
-
What a momentous achievement, congrats Leicester definitely earned it. Mfw I've never followed Arsenal to a Premier league victory
-
As Jamie Carragher said, Tottenham COMPLETELY lost their heads.
In those last 12 minutes, there were no attempts on goal and FOUR yellow cards from nasty fouls and bust ups.
The pressure finally got to them, they lost their discipline, and in turn they lost the title.
A real shame the title challenge had to end in such a pathetic & petulant fashion, but I'm so fucking delighted with the result all the same! -
So BBC wrote this article:
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-36190043and near the end, they wrote "How did everyone pronounce Leicester?"
Italy
La Repubblica newspaper wanted to find out, so took to the streets (you can watch the very funny results here). Some people managed to pronounce it perfectly, but it seems the consensus in Rome is that it is said 'Lie-Chester'. Creditable 1-1 draw
Japan
NTV's attempt was not great. Not great at all. Let's leave it at that. Red card, own goal
Uh….what? Am I missing something here? For reference, here is the NTV video:
http://www.news24.jp/articles/2016/05/03/09329224.htmlHow is that not good? I know this is probably about them funny asians and they pronounce 'l' as 'r' and shitty wok LOLZ but seriously….the kana is written out to pronounce it and she pronounced it CORRECTLY! Lie-chester is nowhere fucking close but, well, they are white and pronounced the L better so good on them >_>

"Red card, own goal" Really now? The woman pronounced it well enough in my book. No need to be an asshole about it. Dicks.
-
Massive congratulations to Atleti for reaching the Champion's League final once again.
Hopefully they can go all the way this time.
-
Seriously, how did City get this far? Holy crap.
-
I can't say I liked Real or City last night. But I don't like the style of Atletic either, aldo their semi final with Bayern was much more entertaining then the Real city semi.
I'm still going with Real for the final.
-
Real winning the CL this year would be one of the luckiest runs to the trophy I've seen in recent times.
Atletico on the other hand opened the knockout stages with a fairly easy opponent (PSV) and then went on to knock out the arguably two best club teams in the world.
It should be obvious to the neutral viewer to pick the "right" winner. I for one am undoubtedly rooting for the red side of Madrid.

Yes, that's the right side! We've avenged the final lost in '74 against Bayern and now we'll avenge the 2014 final against Madrid! It's a must! There are no underdog excuses this year, Madrid plays like crap, they don't deserve to even be in the final! I can feel it coming this time… Argh!
-
Just wanted to point out that SV Darmstadt 98 stays in the Bundesliga^^
What a season and a triumph few hoped to dream of. -
Any thoughts of you guys on the Bayern Sanchez deal? I'm not able to see Benfica that often. And Hummels is ten years older and had the same price.

He's meant to be incredible, from what I hear.
And Hummels is ten years older and had the same price.
Hummels is an exceptional defender, but I don't know about the wisdom of splashing that money on a guy who only had a year left on his contract.

I did see plenty of Benfica this season. I can definitely tell that the team flows a lot better when he does play, although he doesn't score and assist much (probably because he played mostly in central midfield, sometimes defensive even).
