We had a long conversation about the chapter and it's worth in the spoiler thread, which I am reluctant to see repeated here, but w/e, lol. I thought it was very much needed and long anticipated character development for the SHs. I've missed them all, and it's good to see them and hear their internal thoughts and feelings about Luffy.
Makes me anticipate the eventual reunion even more, which I would hazard a guess is part of the purpose of this chapter.

Interesting how a "Bone to be wild lolz" line seems enough to redeem Brook's story, when he's still getting the weakest developments, by far. Pretty much nothing is happening to him, i wonder what Oda's planning here.

then he walked while on fire to create another epic story in the island.
oh, and finally i noticed the danger button in the new lab and i bet you that he will

But since you brought your post up, lol, I wanted to say I think Nami thinks of Luffy as more than what she voiced aloud. She has a very hard time showing her true feelings about anything or anybody, but her f/b said a lot more than "He's a silly man I have to protect" to me.

mhm. Normally i'll try to keep posts simple and to the point. But when its something im interested in i sometimes get caught up. As you can see from that long post i kind of started writing more and more for each char xD.
But i agree. She's not the helpless damsel in distress that she was for the first 10 volumes or so. Shes actually becoming a strong woman who feels she can not only hold her own but have others completely depend on her.
EDIT – Not just depend on her. But that without her they would never be able to get where they want to be. That without her they'd probably end up dead. Shes the rock to their Boulder ;D

Sure, Brook probably does need to be "stronger", but it's not like he can be a better Musician, and even then there hasn't been anything to show he needs to improve. Plus, even though he's "quirky" like a Strawhat, I'm still waiting for his "badass" moment like the rest of the crew had.

Oda's attention to detail is staggering sometimes. Also I dunno if anyone mentioned this but the name of the island Brooke is on is sword mountain island. Foreshadowing of Brooke's power-up perhaps?

Because of how awesome and "weird" the cover page is at the same time, I decided to review it.
! 1. Sabo is the hot beast. His face isn't show aswell which lift up even more the hope of him begin alive. But his left leg is… larger than him, so we can assume Sabo ate the Gomu Gomu Fruit to pose for this shot. And he borrowed that rod from Enel.
! And here I end a desnecessary review of the cover page that wasted my time, and maybe your time if you read it.

Yep, I didn't notice it the first two times I flipped through that page but then I remembered it out of nowhere and decided to check not expecting anything and there it was. Impecabble attention to detail.
Also pretty clever way of dealing with Brooke's power up. Just a tiny little clue in the name of the island he's on while drawing attention to his slavery. Sneaky Oda.

Very nice chapter. This is really showing that none of the Straw Hats will be forgotten. Really loving the build up for the Straw hats meet again. Really liked the flash backs as well. I like Nami and Robin's the most so far.

Otherwise, a lot of seeds are being sow towards the crew's future development. What the hell are "pop greens?" I look forward to finding out. I also get a kick out of Robin's "get stronger" quote really has no hint to any training, which frankly is in character with her.
Zoro's part of this better be huge seeing as he's so singled out.

Interesting stuff to show the developments of…well, everyone other than Zoro. (he'll be what we see next week I guess) I'm not quite so sure of what Brook is going to do as a "caged musician" (unless his training is "learn to rock"), but I did like Nami learning a bit about where Urouge just ended up...and of course, more epic Franky.

Hmm, probably already been speculated but I doubt Oda would hide Sabo's face if we wouldn't see him again, ya know. Still wondering about how Robin will become stronger from all this, I wonder if we will even see Zoro's story of what he will do during the time skip. We have seen so far everyone except him so I wonder how and if Oda is going to stretch this out for another 3 or so chapters or are we getting the skip next week, more hoping we get the skip next week, doubtful, I can only think of what next chapter is going to be about, Zoro and then Luffy but with that it would be awesome to end the chapter with the crew reunited

I think Zoro's part is going to just be used for exposition about the message, since he doesn't really need a moment like this. He showed how far he was willing to go for Luffy back in Thriller Bark, and always talks about how weak he is and how he needs to get stronger.
Kuina's a bit different though, since the design for an older version of her already existed (Tashigi). WHy would Oda bother thinking up of a design for older Sabo and then never use it
