Lots of stuff. Glad to see it.
I'm going to point a finger at this time, and it's on Nectar. There are too many things being said that don't make sense, and there's a distinct lack of helpful information (or even cooperative attitude, but I suppose that's something else entirely).
Am I the only person who notices the hosts kills inactive players which equals extra deaths for Townies?
I want to kill lurkers not because they could be potential Mafia (even though it's a plus). I only want to kill them before our host does so we don't have two or more townies dying in a single night.
I'm pretty sure someone's already covered this particular fact, but I'm re-stating because it's part of the puzzle.
Sure, it's bad- if the inactive player's a Townie. What if they're Mafia? Furthermore, if you're convinced inactives are Townies, why the heck would you lynch them? They die either way, but we waste a chance to go for Mafia.
Either way, you're trying to lynch a member who's 1. Not around to defend themselves, and 2. Not even warranting suspicion, since you've stated that you don't even care that they're Mafia or not. It just looks like you're going for an easy kill, one that might not even happen. So why push for it to happen? Not helpful at all.
If more than one person dies on Night 1 (Mafia and Third-party), no one better complain about me going after no-shows if I don't have a big suspect.
I don't think that's the problem. If you see someone not posting who's active somewhere else, yeah, you have a lurker, and they need to be punished. But being flat-out absent just means they wouldn't get a chance to use powers anyway. Giving a prediction solely as an excuse to disregard other concerns on the chance it comes true is kinda uncooperative.
I think every game we had so far started with a No Lynch and the Townies won them all. That's my biggest problem with SGR going on about having to lynch on Day 1.
Every game here on AP started with a no lynch = fact
Every game here on AP was eventually a Town victory = fact
Town won every game because they started with a no lynch = ???
That's a possible misuse of logic there, and it needs to be clarified. Those two factors may be true, but they have little to nothing to do with each other. Franky, Moria and Whitebeard/Akainu were major contributing factors, and their actions didn't depend on the lynches at all. One vigilante'd a mafia to victory, one turned mafia into zombies (and escaped being lynched anyway), and the last two became unnightkillable vocal Townies.
That there was a no lynch every game after the first was most likely just an unspoken agreement based on habit.
The reasons for lynching day one is the same as the reasons for lynching every day after- to catch baddies. We have a chance to mis-fire, of course, but that's possible every day, and it's no reason not to try.
Other than that, and a few fishman harassment issues, Nectar has simply commented on what other people have said and given orders/statements that aren't that relevant or helpful. It's a lot of not much, which is the case for a lot of people. However, Nectar is also pushing for easy lynches with poor reasoning, pressing cases that are either unimportant or already have backing (like cooperating with SG with Sky).
Maybe Nectar is just waiting to use abilities because that's how the game was played. However, I'd like to point out to everyone that we don't need powers to lynch Mafia. His general suspicious actions and lack of helpful comments are enough for me to suspect him. And so, I punctuate my suspicions with this here vote.
**Vote: Nectar**
