Coby has Mantra/Haki though. Which is also a sign of great potential.
This is true idk I haven't really seen Helmeppo fight that much

None of the "supernovas" are in the same league as Garp. It wouldn't be much of a fight, since it'd be over in probably 1 attack.
Doubt it would be 1 attack. If the other supernovas have near the durability as Luffy they would still get destroyed but they definitely wouldn't be one shot.

No he doesn't.
I would like to see bege's entire military strength up against Garp though. It should be funny how fast that'll be over and then a Bege facefault a la Enel :P
@Green:
No he doesn't.

I'm not gonna bother finding the place where Aisa says it. We all know she said it.
It's obviously implied that Coby has some form of Mantra/Haki. You don't really have to read too much into it to be able to figure that out.
Are you referring tot he one that was in the Koby/Helmeppo training filler episode who was always next to garp? If so I agree with you he is a interesting character.
This one..

I don't doubt that he is an amazing swordsman, but how do you know coby's gun was made of steel?

I thought he was aswell. But I have no idea where he was named either.

what else should it be than a metal^^
maybe no steel but that shouldn`t chance the fact that he is able to cut through metals like Zoro learned in arbana.

What? I don't see what you mean at all. Where does it hint at him having haki what so ever? The part where it says the marines spirits are riding high?
@Green:

"The voices… They're disappearing... From inside my head... One... By one!!!"- Coby
No. The part where it sayss the marine voices are disappearing inside his head. Mantra.
"The voices… They're disappearing... From inside my head... One... By one!!!"- Coby
…..what does that have to do with haki. It's not hinted at all. It's just Coby having a breakdown from everyone dying around him. You are reading waaaaaaay too deeply into that.
Mantra. It is almost unanimously accepted, even among the dumbest readers, that Coby has mantra.

Oh my god have you read Skypeia at all? The little girl Aisa has an ability called mantra which can do exactly what Coby did. They even used the exact same words to describe the feelings they were having when the ability was active. It has also been heavily implied that mantra is similair or is in fact Haki. My theory is that they are related to eachother and both come from a family of abilities like that
Imo Green Monkey is a troll, nobody is this stupid.
It is strongly suggested that Coby has Mantra, which has been strongly linked to Haki (i.e snake sisters on AL reading Luffy's attacks just as on Skypeia - clearly Haki)
Mantra is likely haki related. The Skypiea people probably used a different term for it. Just as Roger's ability to hear the voices of all things is (assumed) haki. As well as Luffy's ability to make allies/friends easily to be related to his haki. Iva even stated that Luffy's ability was alike to that of Dragon. So haki can do different things for different people.
Mantra's obtainment needs to be explained, because in Skypiea in could be learned, but few were born with it.Damn this Haki related stuff is so annoying to figure out.
@Zik:
What are you talking about? All paramecias abilities are not active all the time; Foxxy, Perona, Absalom, etc.
No reason to assume Sengoku's DF is a new class at all.
He just has a hax paramecia DF.
Yea yea whatev :getlost: guess i only meant people like luffy, alvida, buggy, and who ever else comes to mind.
@Gia:

Next time actually think about it.
The good one should end up doing something good.
I think that Sengoku is a zoan. Never seen any paramecia that has a full-body appearance transformation. Others only transforms partially (like Bellamy, Inazuma,…)
Sengoku is like Urouge i think…...:getlost:
Will Coby zoom through the ranks to Admiral before the finale, or will we only have epilogue Admiral Coby?
More like VA level. Smoker at least should be Admiral status by then.
@Gia:
ill think when i feel like it bro
Apparently it's when you feel a searing intestinal pain followed by straining and mess.
I can't wait until Coby becomes Luffy's Garp. It's gonna be cool to see him on the epic level.
Garp Sengoku past encounters with GR = Coby Smoker scenario with Luffy
@JERK:

was that supposed to be a gay joke?, because i do brainstorm pretty good while on the bowl, not while there is an organic item going in my intestines but coming out friend. Honestly don't need you and the other one arguing with me, it was an honest mistake, now get over it. Don't need you to try and diss me. I did nothing wrong.

Oh I have no doubt.

Sorry dog, im a runner and thats what runners do. We eat, sleep, and take shits.
If Coby reaches even the rank of vice admiral, it's gonna ruin the marines imo.
Smoker will make a good Vice Admiral, but I dont see someone like Hina being promoted beyond where they are now. Also it will be interesting to see if the level of the Marines in the New World is a cut above the Grand Line. I would think not for two reasons.
1.) We have already seen most if not all of the Marines' top tier characters and all of them are based on the .."old" Grand Line as far as we know.
2.) Unlike in Grand Line I believe the Marines do not fulfill the same role in the New World of policing and generally enforcing World Government rule. The New World has been hyped as a place that sounds basically lawless, and given that only the strongest of the worlds Pirates not to mention the Yonkou and their potential allies / armadas aka whitebeards fleet (yes yes Shanks is solo but the others might not be) inhabit the New World it would require a huge amount of manpower to control the area, manpower which on the face of it the Marines may not have. With all that taken into consideration the Marines might simply see it as a waste of resources to put strong fighters in the New World and concentrate their resources on stopping pirates from getting there in the first place.
One Piece never fails to spark more and more questions with every chapter eh?
@Gia:

I'm rather surprised running doesn't make it onto that list.
I think unless Coby uses a DF, develops some unique method of fighting, or masters his haki, the most he can hope to achieve is probably Rear Admiral. I doubt the WG would promote anyone to Admiral status except in the event of the death of Kizaru/Akainu/Aokiji. (In which case Garp - whether he liked it or not - or Smoker would take their place.)
I'm actually interested in learning more about the histories of minor Marines like Hina, Momonga, or Tsuru (old lady with laundry power!). Tsuru especially interests me. She's second in command but is only identified as being a Vice Admiral. I suppose her situation is kind of like Garp's in that she could have been promoted to full Admiral but chose otherwise. Still, she's essentially the most powerful woman in the Marines (pretty cool imo.)
I'm rather surprised running doesn't make it onto that list.
Shouldn't need to put it, since i said it twice beforehand
And another thing, spoilers are never allowed until the chap is actually released. It has to stay in the spoiler thread.
Pick you favorite canidate…
gonna go on a limb here and guess Aokiji
but in a seriousness wouldn't a next Admiral make a better topic
Akainu because he got the most done at Mariejoa.
who the hell is pan?
He's that guy in the newest chapter whose talking to Sengoku
you mean the Kong?
Well if Kong became Fleet Admiral that would mean he was demoted…
said pan on mangastream unless my memory just sucks right now
gonna go on a limb here and guess Aokiji

He's actually right.
But I wouldn't be surprised if the new admiral is a new character.
Give the fleet admiral job to Aokiji. Akainu needs to be free to roam the NW and kill pirates.
EDIT
LOL @ Pan
Well if Kong became Fleet Admiral that would mean he was demoted…
wtf, i don't exactly know all the ranking in the navy, but last time i checked fleet-admiral was the big cheese
said pan on mangastream unless my memory just sucks right now
that was part of his title
his name is kong
his title was like "pan fleet commander" or something like that
and is a higher ranking than fleet-admiral. he was the fleet-admiral 20 years ago
Pan Fleet Admiral is the title. Pan means 'all'. So it's above Fleet Admiral. His name is Kong, the previous Fleet Admiral.
Well Pan means "all" so when they use "Pan Fleet Admiral" it probably means the admiral control of it all…
EDIT: ^ beat me to the punch
Personally, I'd love Ao Kiji
Story-wise, it's definitely gonna be Akainu. It's going to be a new dark era and Akainu will be at the helm propogating the brutality and despair of it until one day Luffy will finally emerge as the shining beacon of hope in the new age.
wtf, i don't exactly know all the ranking in the navy, but last time i checked fleet-admiral was the big cheese
Kong is Commander in cheif of WG forces. That's above the fleet admiral who just controls the marines.
Kong oversees WG agents, CP1-9, the marines, etc.
Notice Sengoku going to Kong not the other way around.
Kong can recommend Aokiji, but the 5 Elders will make Akainu the next Fleet Admiral. Afterall, Akainu shares their objectives and ideals to a greater extent than Aokiji probably does.
