What a terrible debate that was, one side was a rambling mess and the other was completely incoherent at points. I'd hate to restrict people's flow but some vague quality control would be nice when we do it again.

Nope. An argument is about who has the better point, and is generally more emotional. A debate is about backing up and proving those points and countering the other person's points effectivley, which is trickier because Juju didn't have easy to follow quote lines and whatnot.
Personally I think Juju's "You do understand that Naruto is trying to work WITH the fox, right?" counters like half of Lion's argument in a single sentance, but thats a hard thing to grade.
Also. Lion's second post was like, 8 times longer than Juju's second post.

Twas' a very…interesting debate between the two.
Both had valid points indeed. One thing I have to say....erked me was TLS not spelling Kyuubi correctly. Although this should be minor, it stood out to me but considering this isn't a debate on spelling or vocabulary, it was nonconclusive to whom I think "won" this debate.
I am a little upset with Naruto. Im not like many around here who have a deep hatred for the series, I like it and follow it just the same as many other series but I completely feel where TLS is coming from.
For the longest time there has been a gap between Naruto and Sasuke, Sasuke being the one with the upper hand almost all the time. Those of us who are rooting for Naruto know deep down inside that he had no chance against Sasuke from the beginning and even now in this very moment in the series. Our only solution would be the Kyuubi. I knew since the beginning Naruto that he needed to control the 9 tails in order to counter Sasuke and even have a chance in swaying Sasuke from his vengeful and evil ways of thinking.
Once Kishimoto introduced Killer Bee to us and revealed that he is the only Jinchiruki that can control his tailed beast, I knew he would be a pivotal asset in helping Naruto control his own beast. This moment has been anticipated by many Naruto fans for quite some time and you would think that when it finally comes, it comes with style and with energy. It is suppose to be a joyous occasion and yet it was presented so...lackadaisical. This should be THE moment in the series and it doesn't feel that way at all.
Then at the very end...Naruto's mom straight from the Kyuubi's asshole...WTF?!? It's like putting a delicious cherry on top of a hollow cake. Something has to give and shit better turn epic fast or else this is going to tarnish whatever good reputation Naruto has.
Huh, why does seeing Naruto use that win rasengan on the nine tails entertain me so. I don't even mind that this "meets his mom thing" is corny, or that his mom looks like Orihime with a brain.
God I love Sasukeless chapters.
in MY opinion sasuke needs to come back cause along with sasuke other characters including kabuto and taka will get development. also it would be nice to find out what other villages are doing maybe kishi should do cover arcs..

Meh, this is what always annoys me in Shonen, even Luffy got his powers from outside sources.

I am sorry and it REALLY pains me to say this but Naruto has had no chance against the sharingan, even in with Sage mode. Controlling the Kyuubi is his only chance and maybe not even because it is said that the Uchiha are the ones who can suppress the 9 tails or at least have a chance in fending it off.
I think the sharingan is one of the most bullshit hax ever…seriously.

Sorry. But that eyesore bsed him through a LOT of battles. Including the crucial one with Naruto that Naruto would have won otherwise.
His super techniques all came from Itachi manipulating him into evolving his eyes.

Sharingan has a ton of weaknesses and things that can be expoited.
Or at least, it used to. Kishi kind of ignores them due to his love of Sasuke.
Don't look directly at them, close your eyes, someone touches you… plus they used to drain chakra and exhaust the user after 2 or 3 uses. But thats been bs-ed around for a while. But in theory there's plenty of ways to beat it.
