thank you for pointing this out. i mean COME ON! oh how far have we fallen? whats 2 commercials compared to a 25 min program??

this inst tv where you get 15 min of commercial's and 10 min of content

I will admit I was ignorant there. When I posted that I thought they were only licensed by Toei and brought to the U.S. through a distribution company other than FUNimation.

The commercials are inconsistent, though. Sometimes you get none or you get the same one repeated twice in a row.

Either way it's no excuse. Ads are an extremely small price to pay to gain the right to watch the latest episodes of One Piece from Japan an hour after it airs.

Some people don't understand that, though. Unfortunately.

Oh, the advertisers know that it's out there. They just haven't found a [cheap] way around it yet.

that they are too long or the commercials don't have anything to do with the show or genre they are watching.

I've had AdBlock Plus since before the simulcast. Since they make money from the adds, I'll unblock One Piece Official's page from now on when watching.

awesome, ive been wondering what the material they would be using for the box-set. here's hoping it's plastic or something stronger. my old ones are starting to disintegrate/fall apart

If it's anything like the Sgt. Frog sets, it's the same kind of material.

Just big enough to fit four plastic slim cases into, really.

I think it's gonna be the same, a thin-pack box, with two cases, two discs in each case. I'm basing this off of my Trigun box set, which was also 26 episodes. I don't think (besides the special edition of Hero Tales) that FUNimation has releases a dvd set that is in any different form than the box thin-pack.

Correct me if I am mistaken, please.

My theory is they've phased those out and will begin putting out box sets in clear 4-disc DVD cases like the SAVE and Anime Classics lines. One Piece Collection 1 will be no different.

We'll see, I suppose. Judging by the look of the cover picture on amazon, I say we're getting two thin cases as always. It disappoints me that there is no new material on these… I'm buying it to show my support though...

I could see myself buying the new collections if FUNi completely gets rid of the 13 episodes sets, but I don't think they will.

And I know this has been said to death already, but I have a feeling FUNi will eventually license more OP, similar to how they let SGT.Frog go for a while then out of the blue announced it for dubbing again. So yeah, faith guys!

it's collection 1 that they sent me. Curious why they didn't send me manga Volume 57 along with it(hard to not pick the volume off the shelf at Barns n Noble). The Right Stuf web site is missing a few of the season sets. season 1 volume 1 and season 2 volumes 4 and 5 are missing.
Must be phasing them out.

Thank you for posting the video. So it is a plastic slip on case, over one thick case, right? As long as the outer case is plastic, I am very pleased.

Also, the guy freaking out because they used the art is idiotic. You've been able to look at the cover online for the past couple of months,
and he didn't notice it then, and he still purchased it.

Well, unfortunately due to personal reasons I was unable to keep collecting beyond S2,V1. At this rate, since I'm happy with the way the Collections are looking, I think I'm just going to skip the voyages and collect these.

Part of me thinks that the reason FUNi is waiting so long to announce season 4 is because they want to do a complete season 4 collection, and discontinue the parts. I'm probably wrong, but if that happens then I'll gladly sell my voyages to get these.

That would be nice. But I don't think FUNimation will give us full season sets for a while. At least not until they've caught up to Japan or dropped the series for good. Especially since Season 4 will probably be around a hundred or so episodes so it probably be really expensive too.

I think they check for availability of an order every two weeks, so backtrack in your inbox to the last "We're Working on it" e-mail and add two weeks to that total. I'm somewhat bummed because according to that math, I won't be getting mine until at least Saturday.

Do you honestly want to shell out all that money on a complete set for the season? Seriously, there's no way something like that would be cheap.
