What do you mean "terrible"?
See: 4kids for terrible

Just by this thread Horny became my favourite One Piece character, maybe he has a Horn Horn DF:wub:
-
Yeah, 4 kids voices were ultra bad especially Sanji's but even still the voice acting sounded forced and overly exaggerated.
Zoro's was the closet to normal but then again that was only a small clip and I never watch the English version, so of course it would sound odd to me.
-
Why do I keep thinking that Horny can still make it ;___; I'm so pathetic. Please comfort me. I can't stand losing him.
-
Compared to Amazon you're winning!
@Dervish: U mad?
-
Oh no, I need to leave nao D: Please people, I trust in you now. Make Hornys way to the final four!
-
You now have 57 Internets. ^^;

Hugs You did very well, but sometimes it's better to just accept a loss and walk away silently.
-
Wow, I don't know if I'm just not use to it but One Piece in English sounds terrible. :/
so true.
Vepe, are you sure everybody wants to be licked by you? maybe that's why they didn't vote horny!
-
Quickly read through the whole thread..
@StrawHatRican:There's also this matter.

[/hide]Ok this made me laugh the most of anything. And I don't even know this game. Good stuff.
Besides, I don't look at any of the posts in a thread before I vote. I'm completely unaffected by the campaigns.
bad bunny!
@Vepe: Ah I love that second bunny you drew. I'm guessing you didn't draw it on your tablet though :P.

Objection! I am a woman. :ninja:
And excellent AtomicFruit~ ;) -
You all know you cried womanly tears when Pell took the bomb up.
No. In fact, I laughed.
A vote for Pell is one for the most disappointing death in One Piece.
(if you don't know yet, he a survived a fraking BOMB)

I know he survived! It's good that he did. That's what makes One Piece unique in shonen. Rather than it being a 500 chapter pissing contest between block-headed characters who think that strength is everything, it can have things like a former villain who starts a toy company, or a role model that's ok with being made fun of, or a falcon-man who survives a point blank explosion.
It's completely free from the need to be "badass", and that freedom makes it great.
-
They are all so cool; I voted for all of them

Indiscriminatley voting every character EXCEPT Don Krieg. God he sucks.
With luck and hope, he'll not make it past the prelim, and we'll be better off without him AND Absalom, and be much better for it all around.
As for Pell, why does everyone assume he took the bomb point blank? He was in the sky and out of everyone's sight. He could have very easily reased a high altitude and tossed the thing further skyward, before the explosion went off. Everyone just ASSUMES he was physically holding the bomb even while it was exploding, when there's absolutely nothing in the manga that actually suggests that.
As is, he still took a couple nasty scars, so I really don't see the problem.
-
What's wrong with Krieg and Absalom?

You know, when explosions always and everytime general nothing more but beating even the tiniest of fodder up then this freedom only results in beeing utterly lame because it totally ruins every threat that an explosion stands for. :getlost:
-
What's wrong with Krieg and Absalom?
Besides being two of the lamest, most let down, worst designed characters, with terible fights and character motivations, amongst the worst in the entire course of the series?
Check out last year's tourney match between them. You have to see it, in its entirety, to understand. My posts especially.

I think it's interesting – and telling -- that so many people felt robbed when they discovered that Pell was still alive. What should have been a moment of celebration and relief ("Sweet! Pell's alive!!") actually caused more confusion and disappointment than celebration. I think it's because all the signs of a noble sacrifice were in place by then, and so the audience was geared up emotionally to expect that: handkerchiefs out, jaws dropped, etc. But instead of someone paying the ultimate price to save his monarch and the kingdom, we got, well, a nice guy moving a bomb out of the way.
But still no on camera image of him taking the entire brunt of the blast. And we've had Ace now. I think it'd be fair to stop calling it an issue now.
-
After reading some opinions towards Pell, I had to do something!
!

One's an attempted rapist and the other is a complete asshole.
Krieg, however, gets points above Thundercat for having Gin in his crew.

What makes you think I was talking about Pell when I made a statement about explosions in One Piece not making me worry about any characters health in general? :wassat:

Play by play:
First place: Inspector Ben Beckman
Second place: Kaku, the Man Who Made Giraffes Even More Badass
Third place: Thousand Sunny, the Boat With a Laser Beam
Fourth place: Crocus, Chekov's Gunman -

True. I honestly think it's that people want the grittier option, one that makes Croc a more terrible villain and Pell more of a hero. I can see that him surviving takes away from both of those. But still! One Piece says again and again that valuing anything over life, even "noble" things like honor and strength, leads to trouble. Ace was home free until he had to turn and face Akainu for running his mouth about Whitebeard. Luffy's refusal to allow Shanks to be insulted almost got him killed, and cost his idol an arm. The wars in Alabasta and at Marine Headquarters are depicted as pointless and stupid. Aokiji, the "good" admiral, has very malleable beliefs. Akainu, possibly the worst marine ever, believes so strongly in his principles that he's willing to kill even his own subordinates.
So yea it does remove some of the bite from the narrative when you have stuff like massive explosions that don't do anything (even I will admit that the completely ineffectual Ursus Shock was a disappointment), but that's just the way stuff works in One Piece.

Dude, get your facts straigth, I wasn't talking about Pell. I was talking about explosions in general in One Piece which in fact don't do jack shit to people that a left right comibination with fists can't accomplish.

BEN BECKMAN!Are you sure you wanna put that last part in? :P Kizaru ended up ignoring his threats and launching a massive attack to kill Luffy, and Beckman did nothing about it.
I think to really stop admirals, we can call only one person.. Shanks!
