@Reyairia:
Even Kidd believed that slavery was a horrible and hypocritical thing of the WG to allow, even to pirates. Caribou doesn't think twice about enslaving innocent mermaids. Kidd isn't exactly the upstanding moral man, but he's far above Caribou. Kidd is a horrible example to use.
Finally a argument.
Ok I was not aware he felt that way (goes back to read past Manga).
Ah so he did indeed. Well then I guess it is a bad example. Both are sinister, but I will now agree Caribou is more sinister.
@wolfwood:
Always felt the strawhats lacked a good grave digger with some experience. Now when you bury people alive you want it done professionaly.
Although I like the sound of a grave digger (mostly cause it's cool) I doubt it will happen. It seems very useless compared to everyone else on the crew.
@JERK:
To illustrate how fucking vapid and retarded that last sentence is, it would literally get you banned from the crewmate thread. And you even had the fucking nerve to precede it with saying something I said wasn't an argument.
It was not an argument.
and it is true. We have seen weirder and more un-predictable things in One Piece.
@JERK:
IT IS NOT PLAUSIBLE.
See below. That is proof it is plausible
@JERK:
That's not all I said you illiterate goon. And don't even fucking start on simply stating things. You have literally nothing with you to suggest a single reason to remotely think of this character as ally material.
I actually do… He wanted to act all goody-goody with the Strawhats so he could eventually kill them.
In order to achieve this goal, perhaps he will act as a ally until he can kill him.
@JERK:
They're nothing the fuck alike. I have no idea why you think they're similar.
Kidd is obviously a rival character. How is this comparable to a sneaky little shit like Caribou
Fair point. I just think both being villainous (rivals can be a form of that) make them a good example for comparison. Nothing less nothing more.
@JERK:
He killed people in what sounded like a bar argument.
It's obvious Oda was intending a bit of parallel to Luffy's experience on Jaya.
Just put Kidd in that same situation where a whole bar of people laugh at Kidd for asking something about One Piece. Except instead of doing nothing, Kidd slaughters them. He even talked about how his whole Grand Line route was like Jaya. Which explains why his kill rate must be very high.
Nothing has EVER suggested Kidd just runs around killing old ladies in their beds or whatever you gleamed from "he kills civilians".
This was taken from One Piece wiki, so it is only somewhat reliable…
"Eustass Kid is notorious for causing huge amounts of civilian casualties"
"When he feels that he's been insulted, he is quick to resort to violence, attacking Scratchmen Apoo apparently for staring at him."
:whistling:
@JERK:
His very nature is obscenely Spandamish. A cruel coward. Which is one of the lowest things in One Piece. Look at how Oda treats these types. Nezumi, Spandam, Fullbody to some extent.
Oh also slavery.
Very true.
@JERK:
loll "durr let mr brush aside principle of action in a series completely obsessed with ideals like One Piece".
There does not need an to be a reason why people do the things they do (Ex. Arlong taking over a random village, for hardly a reason), but giving a reason just makes my points more valid.
@JERK:
It never fails, the people who suggest implausible bullshit are always hilariously clueless about the very character of One Piece.
It's a prediction. Everyone has thought something about One Piece that was silly or turned out to be wrong.
Therefore the only person who can understand the "character" of One Piece, is Oda himself. It's an unpredictable manga.
@JERK:
That's how hilariously simple this scenario is. It's the basic plausibility factor that every way Oda has depicted this guy = no reason to think of him as anything fucking else. And Oda has depicted him as slime.
True
@JERK:
Everything you idiots have rolled out has complicated this simplicity with fabricated bullshit, and honestly the only real reasons you've given have been (also bullshit) comparisons. Not anything actually given to us at the moment.
No matter the the stupidity of my comparisons (which I agree looking back were not very good), you still cannot simply deny the idea that Caribou could help out the Strawhats. After all it could be part of his master plan to kill them.
Acting like a nice guy, until he can slaughter them 1 by 1 sounds plausible am I right? This time I 100% am because that was his original idea…
@JERK:
Do I come off to you as someone who pointlessly waits around?
If I recall when I was lurking you argued with AGOG a lot… So yes you do. Generally speaking most frequent forum goers don't mind waiting to prove they are right. I can tell you are no different.
@JERK:
What the fuck do you mean it's never been used before? It's a generic instance of "guy gets caught from behind by someone" what the hell do you imbeciles see in it?
I was just being a smartass.
Never before has a character named Caribou who, been trapped in a barrel and a cyborg named Franky comes up from behind. Technically it's unique. Don't try and take me so seriously.
@JERK:
Let's not even fucking start on how that even begins to translate to Oda planning anything for the character involved. It's beyond stupid.
… Actually I never said that was a reason as to why he could become allies with the Strawhats. Sooooo... yea....
@JERK:
OH WOW LOL, ODA HAD A GUY THINKING NO ONE WAS BEHIND HIM, BUT THERE WAS!!!!!!! WHOOOAAAAA
:wassat: and it was funny…
@JERK:
You should probably never talk about any of this unless you have information to think it in the first place.
Fair enough. It was mostly a gut feeling, with a few points as to why it could happen.
@JERK:
I'm right.
Your not… Neither am I T.T
@JERK:
On the Arlong Park wiki, wow, big whoop, so do a bunch of people.
I had one on the old ODB one awhile ago.
Yes but is it as funny?
Read This Part if you don't care for long boring arguments
So… To skip to the best idea as to why Caribou may act as an ally, he wants to gain their trust in order to get close to them to kill them. He has already stated this plan, and tried it out. Who's to say he won't try it again?
