I was expecting Carue to be the one to save Luffy… :(

on a war like that everybody has moments he doesn`t do a thing…
where is kuma, smoker, hina, moria, hancock, pacifistas, kizaru, garp etc etc..all doing nothing??
for the 3 chapters he`s now around he did a lot..the amount he drink so far is already legendary...nobody drunk so much at this WAR!
point for Basco
he shot the strongest guy in that WAR!
point for Basco
looking cool in the moments he did nothing...well like a top model
1\2 point for Basco--makes 2 1\2 points in 3 chapters..
thats behind luffy and epicbeard the best average so far! -
Clearly Sengoku is the master of standing around and doing nothing. He taught many students this difficult art and among those was Lafitte back when he worked for the WG. Lafitte passed on the knowledge to BB's crew sans BB and Shiryuu (the only two who've done much other than stand and not dodge shit).
I just still wondering why Sengkou didn't use Shockwave to destroy luffy on the Platform??
-
he bet on garp and lost:ninja:
-
Oh my, what a wonderful chapter indeed.
That scene with Jimbei getting skewered was the most awesome panel out of that chapter.
Am I the only one who thinks that Akainu will end up burning Luffy's hat?

i think someone will take luffy`s hat and give it later back to him…luffy without his SH?..than he will never come back out of his emo-phase..
-

Because he didn't need it. What difference would it make. Obviously, shockwave hits an area. In the platform, Ace, Luffy and Mr. 3 were in a confined area. It was the combination of Gigant Baloon and Mr. 3's candle wall that protected Ace and Mr. 3, and even Luffy was harmed by the attack, which bypassed his gomu abilities.
Sengoku did react too late in that ocasion. He's probably gotten slower with age. However, I see not reason for him to use his shockwave back there. The result would probably be the same.

He could borrow another hat and try to pass it off to Shank's, if that's not the case. I'm sure that there are plenty of places that sell that style.
XD

I love how people are like wtf was sengoku not doing anything when the pirates were attacking… ummm hello but he was making sure he could kill ace if needed and he didn't use a shockwave because he didn't think they would survive with good reason he didn't know about gear 3rd or the mr. 3 was there
after wards maybe he should have done something but oda is clearly trying to minimize the extent we know about his power
-
Oh, You're KiShiDo, You are that Sanji Fanboy, right?
Yeah that's why I'm posting each and every day after Sanji and write it down how great he is in my sig xD

How would using a more powerful attack be the same?? Luffy Baloon wouldn't of done anything. Baloon s for physical attacks.
-
The reason Sengoku didn't do anything until now is obviously because he's a pussy and he was scared of Epic Beard. But after Akainu killed Ace, and Wb died, Sengoku finally got off his ass. BB may have the quake ability, but he's no WB =.=;;
off topic question: what's the name of the manga on top of luffy's foot on the cover?
!

Which is my orginal point that some people in the War are holding back to let Luffy get to Ace. I don't think Senkou will hold back no more becuase BB+crew will kill him.
-
Juju out of the naruto thread, there might be still hope for you.
-
Why would Sengoku , whose practicaly caused himself a seizure anytime Luffy did something since EL let him get to Ace ?
-
off topic question: what's the name of the manga on top of luffy's foot on the cover?
It's a one-shot running this week. I think the name is "Devil Clutch".
@AdmiralYonkouMt.Bandit:
I'm wondering if Law is smart enough to drop Luffy on his ship at SA or if he's going to just head to Gyojin island or go to some safe place to recover.
Well he know's that Luffy is affiliated with Rayleigh, per the Auction House scene, and in order to treat Luffy's wounds he will have to remove some of Luffy's clothes, so… he should find Rayleigh's biblicard.
@AdmiralYonkouMt.Bandit:
I obviously haven't been paying attention but Ray's card is not in Luffy's hat?
Typical Oda, he had Luffy specifically state at AL that he kept Rayleigh's card in the pocket of his pants, as opposed to Ace's, whose was kept in his hat. Unless he changed locations off-screen, it should be safe to assume it is still in his pocket.
^^ I've seen a lot of people discuss and question where they think Law will take Luffy, so I figure I might as well bring up my thoughts again since I had only mentioned it in a thread nobody cares about.

@No:
Why would Sengoku , whose practicaly caused himself a seizure anytime Luffy did something since EL let him get to Ace ?
He didn't… the reason he didn't shockwave attack Luffy then is because it's an area attack and Ace was in the area that it would effect. It was a matter of honor to execute Ace properly at the time so he didn't want his shockwave killing Ace. Things changed when Ace was rescued: he became a threat as well as a target to be eliminated to save face and avoid being disgraced further than his being rescued did. Thus Akainu got things done since Ace was away from the platform then.
-
Also Im guessing there were quite a few marines nearby Ace and Luffy when they were at the platform, so a shockwave wouldn't really have been a smart idea.
-
Sengoku didn't do anything up until this point because the Marineford Arc was all about showcasing Admiral Akainu.
Also, is there any doubt that Law won't take Luffy to Saboady Archipelago?
Saboady Archipelago is where the Thousand Sunny is and the place the Straw Hats agreed to meet.
-
Well it may depend on where Rayleigh's card points, if it's somewhere else, then I can see Law taking him "somewhere else" but I think you're right.

it will be shabondy cause not every SH has a vivrecard so they who haven`t one normally would go to shabondy.
-

I thought the anime clarified that just because not everyone was shown getting one in the manga doesn't mean they didn't. I'd hope that was confirmed by Oda before they animated it anyway…
-

Ah fair enough, didn't know that. But for argument sake, you could say strawhats end up in shabondy then be directed to where rayleigh really is by the bar owner lady (forgot her name…)
But yeahh thats too much effort I guess, SA it is.
Edit - now cuz of the guy that posted after you, I am back to thinking other places is possilbe :P
-
http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/507/12/
well i ahve to admit that it isn`t stated in the manga so everyone could have a vivrecard…
but in fact the coating just works while you
re near shabondy or use it underwater... seeing that those bubble-bikes don
t work outside of shabondy i doubt the coating would ..but i dont have prove on that. so rayleigh should be still on shabondy or in such a near place to shabondy that still the coating works and than it
s not as far away as to consider it another place^^ -
That's why the only for the SHs is going now to FI and not back or elsewhere
-
I think Law will take Luffy and Jinbei to Fishman Island. Luffy will remain in a coma, and Jinbei will take care of him. Meanwhile, the Strawhats will reunite in Sabaody, and next arc will be about the Strawhats and their search for Luffy.

I like this but Jinbei is in pretty rough shape himself to be taking care of anyone. Unless Law really has crazy methods to fix people up, which is possible since we don't really know how he's going heal them.
Maybe he can transfer life force from one person to another causing rapid regeneration. His D E T H taatoo on his hand is a reminder so he doesn't use his hands in the reverse order by mistake. xD

But Jinbei will probably recover faster than Luffy. I don't think Law will be babysitting them until the crew reforms. Instead, I think Jinbei himself will be treated, awaken, and tell Law to go to Fishman Island, where Jinbei can take care of Luffy until he awakens. Law will leave them there and go on his own adventure.
-
Jimbei will get left behind because his weight will tip the Heart submarine's weight capacity over the safety line.

great .. now you're suggesting the waste of food?! really that's not acceptable!

agree, who can leave behind a Grilled Whale ?
-

He's a lot lighter now tho with with a 2 foot hole with a 4 foot thickness missing from his center core. :'(
Laws sub should be fine with the release of air from the ballast tanks. =]

I figured Law will take care of them until they reach SA. He'll find Rayleigh and hand the two of them over. Then Rayleigh and Shakky will take care of them. Then eventually all the SH's will meet back up. Once Luffy's awake, he can learn about how to use haki from Rayleigh, etc.
-

lol! At least jimbei can swim.
-
Well it may depend on where Rayleigh's card points, if it's somewhere else, then I can see Law taking him "somewhere else" but I think you're right.
Last time we saw Rayleigh he was on Shabondy. Of course he can change location, but I doubt it.
-
is water what is on Jinbei's punch against Akainu? Perhaps Jinbei has de ability to summon water anywhere.
-
I still don't get why people are making a fuss over Luffy's hat. If it were really lost, Oda would have made a bigger point of it. As it is in this chapter, you could easily miss it falling off. All the hat discussion just seems like a bit of useless art analysis.

The hat fell, but that wasn't this chapter's focus. We shall see in the next chapters.

It would appear that this is one of those punches we've seen him use back at Impel Down where he didn't have any water at his disposal either. It somehow manages to hit the opponent without physically touching him. How exactly it works hasn't been cleared up yet.

i also thought so…would be a pretty nicce ability those fishman or at least jinbei has here...
but i think he can than only use small amounts out of his body...to fight an opponent like akainu he needs sure a bigger water source! -
WOW!
Sengoku finally does something!
Akainu is going to fight WB captains
And Law saves Luffy!Awsome chapter!
Let's see what happens next.
-
Last time we saw Rayleigh he was on Shabondy. Of course he can change location, but I doubt it.
Wasn't he here at Marinford?
luffy would definately not like that.
Wounded as he is, he would eat both Jinbei & Bepo with no problem.
-
-
Arlong Park Forums reading comprehension. Always top notch!
Shit! My bad! I don't know why I thought he was at marinford (like BB gang before).
-
Well it may depend on where Rayleigh's card points, if it's somewhere else, then I can see Law taking him "somewhere else" but I think you're right.
It points to Rayleigh, who is at Saboady. We saw him there only a few chapters back.
I think Law will take Luffy and Jinbei to Fishman Island. Meanwhile, the Strawhats will reunite in Sabaody, and next arc will be about the Strawhats and their search for Luffy.
I seriously doubt this for the simple reason that the crew would have no idea where or why they would "start looking". As far as they know, Luffy would come to Rayleigh the same as they did. As for what I suggested, I figure Oda added in the bit about Rayleigh's card being in Luffy's shorts for a reason, and the fact that Law is now here (of all people) to help save Luffy adds to that since Law is one of the only other people outside of Luffy's direct crew that knows he was affiliated and last seen with Rayleigh. Oda might go another route, but I see nothing that suggests it at the moment. If anything, I would say FI needs time to get a little crazy before our "heroes" go there.
All the hat discussion just seems like a bit of useless art analysis.
Nahh, it was definitely intentional. You see it getting knocked off in three panels on this page, and it isn't just drawn a little to the side, it is clearly far from his body (intentionally). Then on the next page, it is clearly on the floor away from them, then they get blown away by Croc, and the rest of the chapter Luffy doesn't have it. Useless art analysis? It might not be a big deal, but Oda definitely had it come off and stay off on purpose. It wouldn't be the first time something like this happened either. I mean, if you really look at all the panels in the chapter and don't just glaze over it all, you shouldn't miss it on page ten. Especially this tiny panel that went out of it's way to include it:
-
I focused the most on the hat the entire time I read the chapter. it just stood out.
Also, "
FalconSeiken punch!"
I laughed so hard when I saw Sengoku do this.
