The Crew's Bounty

Franky's bounty is probably around 65 million. I imagine after the FI arc the WG will leave Luffy, Zoro, and Franky's bounties alone and raise the rest of the crew's bounties by a modest amount. Prediction

Sanji: 98-102 million
Usopp: 45 million
Nami: 24 million
Robin: 100 million
Brook: 50 million
Chopper: 75 if Oda runs with 'pet' gag. Otherwise he should get 30 million, which is what I would like. Although Sentomaru should have reported that he saw chopper transform into his monster point so I have no idea why his bounty is still 50.

Well seeing Luffy's, Zoro's and probably Franky's were given pre TS I expect them all to get a new one after this arc.

First I really want to know for what Zoro got his. Franky should be clear cuz of the lab.

But now Sentoumaru have seen that the SHs are back and the 3 top dogs destroyed 2 PX in an instant. That alone should give them a boost once again and maybe even more for Sanji.

But we will see what they will do in this arc, to get something new as well

Like I said… maybe he has done something during the training with Mihawk, and that's why Caribou was so afraid to see him... or, even if unlikely, they thought he was in ID as well, cuz Mr 2 transformed into him.

For something at SA couldn't be cuz the others should get a increase as well... or maybe it was the scene were he tried to attack a noble

Maybe the WG just sees fit to give the second mate an automatic bounty increase whenever the captain's bounty increases. After Alabasta Zoro was the only one beside Luffy to get a new bounty, even though Sanji and the others also took part in defeating baroque works members. Zoro, like luffy, is also pretty exceptional compared to the other members seeing as how he was the one who took kuma on.

Well we know bounty increases are issued to pirates who show themselves stepping up. The others have been improving and stepping up too but not as significantly as Luffy and Zoro. Even Sanji doesn't have as much determination as those two except maybe when it involves something comical like fighting for women. Of course the rest will get bounty increases every now and then but the emphasis is on the captain and his second mate, the heart and soul of the crew. Without them the crew is a significantly smaller threat and not even a crew at all.

But still I doubt he got an automatic increase just cuz of Luffy's action. In Arabasta he still has beaten Mr 1 + who had a bounty on his own and was well known + 100 bounty hunter at WP. In ID and at the war he wasn't there.

Well they looked at Franky poster when Vegapunk lab got destroy and he might have attacked the marines after he upgraded himself.

Zoro well he was the first person to sa so he might have attacked marines on the way there,attacked marines that went to Mihawks island or even attacked marines on sa when he was waiting for strawhats he was strong enough after time skip to wipe out a marine ship by himself that is for sure.

It's obvious the bounty raise is a reaction to something zoro did during these two years..think about it: Robin was with the revolutionairies and was keot hidden and in safety, Usopp was on a plant in a near deserted island, Nami was on a cloud, chopper was studying on an island with birds and idiots, sanji had to fight okama's, brook was an artist…all of them had no chance to do anything or had any reason to leave their islands..where franky blew up vegapunk's lab and zoro was training under mihawk, zoro was the only one with a real reason to leave th# island for a bit.

I still think that the "noble's bounty" is different from the Marine's one, One that's only good by delivering the strawhats to the Celestial Dragons, alive.

They're a team, as one they will all have raised because if they can pick away just one member of the team the WG will have accomplished something toward slowing their progress and making them more vulnerable.

That way everyone in the crew except for Chopper would have respectable bounties that would better match their respective skill/threat level.

Luffy and Zoro have been relatively small increases without any real attention behind them (Like Luffy's 400 mill was mentioned totally casually and offhand) and Franky's is likely the same situation, which means they're probably just placeholder bounties till the end of the arc. That way there can be some big jumps without seeming too ridiculous. Probably everyone will be getting some sort of increase and an updated photo, all at once, and a big moment can be made out of it.

Luffy going from 400 to 500 isn't as extreme or as crazy as going from 300-500 for instance. As is he's still the highest known bounty in the series, and has gotten pretty famous if Sabondy is any indication.

Of any of them, Brook's has a lot of potential to raise a lot, since he's now the most famous musician in the world, and he's now associated with a crew more (in)famous than his previous one. Obviously if Chopper is recognized as more than a pet, his should skyrocket considerably.

Robin… well, her threat is her knowledge more than her physical strength, she's had basically the same bounty since she was 8, I'm not sure the government wants to draw too much attention to her specifically.

Yeah he would have gotten the bounty either in the two year time skip or when Luffy got his because they both went up 1/3.

Seeing as how Luffy was still a rookie when the WG raised the bounty to 400 mil, Oda is probably waiting for the crew to venture into the new world before there are some significant bounty increases. After all how can a rookie who's never been to the New world get a bounty higher than 400 mil? I imagine that's the ceiling for Rookies until they succeed in the real world and become all-stars. Even though Luffy has the highest know bounty, I'll bet some of the supernovas (kid, drake, law, hawkins) and new world captains have bounties higher than his now.

Respectable? Those bounties are an insult to the growth of the crew over the two year timeskip. Sanji, for example, who can now one-shot a pre-timeskip Pacifista, you listed as barely Supernova level (while all the Supernovas before the timeskip had serious difficulties).

Chopper should get a bounty raise. The "pet" gag is kinda old and chopper deserves a bounty around the same as Usopp/nami's, especially if he shows others that he is a formidable threat.

Killer's bounty is high because he killed a lot of civilians, the same goes for Caribou killing Marines. Bounty doesn't just reflect strength but also threat level. We know they're significantly more powerful but it's their actions that will likely determine the raises.

I was well aware of that before I ever started typing my post, so it doesn't change anything in my mind. Of course it will be a major incident which will spark the raises. They will be surfacing right next to the new Marineford once the FI arc is over, after all.

I still think 1 billion is a little extreme, unless of course you're referring to much later in the manga after they've done something big like take down a yonkou.

if a 300 belli luffy couldn't take down a pacifista on his own, shouldn't sanji and zoro's bounties be well above this now, considering, as discussed above, it looks like either one of them could have obliterated one by themselves in an instant? i remember thinking a 300 million bounty was shocking at the time it was released as well.

Bounty posters are not directly related to strength. It's not like a power level, it's a threat level. Sanji and Zoro are very strong but their threat is not high as to the government they are simply subordinates whereas Luffy has 'dangerous intentions' and has shown that he has the balls to do stuff and the strength to follow through on it.

Luffy's bounties have in the past, tripled or more. Him getting a filler bounty with an increase of "only" an extra 100 million suggests that yes, he'll be getting something ridiculous.

Between hitting the Tenyrubiito, Impel Down, the war, and connections to the revolutionaries, the announcement of his father being Dragon, and displaying potential Ambition abilities, it actually kind of surprising he didn't get a higher one. But I think that can be attributed to 1) the credit being spread around and Buggy claiming most of it, 2)him getting his ass kicked repeatedly during the war, 3) the 2 years of silence and presumed dead-ness.

Now that he's back in action, and his crew is reassembled, and he's going to be showcasing full Ambition ability, and apparently destroying Fishman Island, his threat should be raised considerably again.

Hence, the placeholder bounty. It jumping only another 100 mill to reach 500 mill would be silly, there'd be no need for the placeholder then. It probably is going to be reeeeally ridiculous, Urouge's guess of 1 billion probably isn't too off the mark. (Usopp hinted at such bounties existing in the billions when they first met Aokiji.)

Put this in perspective. The world nobles were willing to toss out 500 mill on a whim for a mermaid. What do you think they'd be willing to put out on someone who HIT THEM. Based on that ALONE I'm amazed Luffy's bounty isn't higher. (Its also possible they have a separate reward set up for him in addition to what the government is offering.)

Of course bounties are a direct representation of perceived threat. It would be naive, however, for someone to think that strength isn't a MAJOR factor in that calculation. Because it is.

I always attributed the 100 mil increase to actions of fake strawhats. That they were looking to increase their numbers and hiring some pretty big names could be viewed as a new threat since until then strawhats had never really displayed any intentions of amassing a freaking army. I felt the govt. could have misconstrued that being a possible plan to attack WG base or something. In that sense, I don't see it as a filler increase but having some kind of logical backing. Otherwise that increase just don't make sense.

yep also to add to this post if bountys were based on strength then Blackbeard would have had one but he was no threat so he did not get one.

if this was true then every strawhat would have had a bounty increase however only Luffy (probly what he did before the time skip) ,Zoro (probly something he did during timeskip) and Franky (vegapunks lab got them.

i.e Beating a Shicibukai = 90million (the price jump between his first and second bounty)

Therefore assuming that everying action adds to the bounty

Now think about that, they needed Robin's knowledge to read it, honestly I think that makes just knowing how to build it seem nearly as important as the Oharan language.

That and he's a crazy cyborg man, who took out two CP9 members, I mean no offense to Sanji or anything, but it's always kind of miffed me that Sanji has a bounty nearly half a big as Franky's for only taking out one CP9 member, albeit a stronger member but still. I would've thought the knowledge he holds would've been worth a bit more is all.

That being said, I hope that he does get a raise for both gaining knowledge of Vegapunk's old lab and BLOWING IT UP.

luffy, whose bounty did not even include his defeat of moroa and yet you doubt that a new luffy able to one shot ko a pacifista like its some kind of fodder is not able tp to gain a fantastic new bounty. i'm rarely sober when i post on these forums, but even still i know that the threat that a pirate poses to the wg is obviously related to how strong the pirate is. i respect your way of seeing it, but i still think a pirates threat level is directly relateted to how strong they are…

Franky was only the holder of the blueprints. There's been no indication that Franky memorized the blueprints or that the government fears Franky for memorizing the blueprints before burning it, so it's not really the same case as Robin, who still holds the power to read not only the ancient weapons but could reveal whatever secret the government is hiding.

And Sanji not only took out the third strongest CP9 member (Jyabura's 2180 vs Fukurou's 800 yes I didn't want to put power levels but it emphasizes the vast difference in strength) but he could also be seen as the one responsible for the train incident. He caused all the events there directly and indirectly by setting Franky and Usopp free.

Huh, really? I could've sworn he implied he knew them, at least going by a few fan translations and fansubs, but what are ya gonna do, ya know? Yeah everything you've said seems to make sense, but it still kind of irritates me that Franky's is a bit lower then it should've been. Sanji having that entire bounty while well deserved … it makes it feel like we're talking power levels. Which makes me go bleh.

Luffy was 300 mill and could only barely take down one pacificsta with the rest of his crew. Hancock had an 80 mill bounty before she became a shichibukai and she could take them out like fodder.

Speaking of bounties, am I the only one who's thought Franky's was too low?
I mean really, compare things for a minute. Franky took out two CP9 officers and knows how to craft that ancient weapon, plus he burned any means of them reading it. Now think about that, they needed Robin's knowledge to read it, honestly I think that makes just knowing how to build it seem nearly as important as the Oharan language.

That and he's a crazy cyborg man, who took out two CP9 members, I mean no offense to Sanji or anything, but it's always kind of miffed me that Sanji has a bounty nearly half a big as Franky's for only taking out one CP9 member, albeit a stronger member but still. I would've thought the knowledge he holds would've been worth a bit more is all.

That being said, I hope that he does get a raise for both gaining knowledge of Vegapunk's old lab and BLOWING IT UP.

Sanji took out the 3rd strongest member who was more than twice as strong as Chapa-Guy.

he took out CP 7 Wanze, CP 6 Jerry, he was the one who caused the trouble at the train and freed Franky, Usopp and nearly Robin.

And on top fo that he was the one who opened the gate of Justice to let the SHs dissapear.

Maybe they finally realized that he is the 3rd in the row of the SHs and one of the most trouble some. I bet soon he will surpass Robin as well, who only has her bounty cuz of her abilities.

Franky is OK in my eyes as it is. But it will be sure higher now and even higher after this arc

Strength doesn't reflect bounty. The 300 million Luffy got wasn't so much for defeating Lucci (just barely) but rather for decalring war on the government and "destroying eneis lobby). Naturally that bounty reflected the threat he would pose to the WG.

As for not being able to defeat a pacifista, people vary. Pacifistas are made to be resilient to brute strength and outside forces. True, Hancock took them out easily, but her Perfume Femur technique allowed her to break them with her kicks. Crocodile (beaten by Luffy) could probably use sables or fill one with sand. We forget that DF's can be a major decisive factor in a battle. Who could forget Luffy v. enel? Also you can be as strong as Whitebeard but at the end of the day you can't hurt Luffy with brute strength. In fact if you think about it Mr. 3 would probably be able to encase a pacifista in wax and mr. 5 may or may not be able to turn one into a bomb, thereby making it explode, and those two are beyond weak. Point is that if you have the right DF then certain fights are cake walks, or at least significantly easier.
