Oh I just remembered- You remember that long ago Oda promised us the death of nakama? Well there it is. We all connected it with Going Merry, but as always Oda pulled Oda on us.
And now I think that it is a good think no one irreplaseable died before. It makes the death (especially such one) a really terrific, hard and gruesome thing as it is in reality.

Im starting to wonder if whitebeard will die even though his aim was to make Ace the next pirate king - he may have felt a responsibility to anoint the next top guy for the new world and his crew wont really have a leader unless they follow Marco

I dont see how blackbeard could have a huge impact on the whole world with just a crew members. I know he has talked about changing the world but we'll have to see. the WBs still have a lot of strong men, if they can get away from the world gov

I don't think that BB is going to "replace" WB or anything like that. Admittedly, he is strong, but i don't feel he is big enough character in the story to go that far. he tends to appear randomly and cause trouble, but is his character really going that direction?

Almost all of the biggest moments in the last few years of One Piece can be directly tied to Teach. He's definitely a pretty major character for as little as we've seen him, and I think he's being prepped to be bigger. Sure, I could be wrong, but I think it could be safe to assume this is just the beginning of his shenanigans.

Yeah I don't think he's going to replace him either. TO me that whole yonkou shit is about to be done too(I'll be the only one left). With WB gone so is the balance. Besides we all know BB is aiming for a much higher title.

The way I see it other than the big questions of this manga BB's actions have been driving this manga for hundreds of chaps and now it's coming to head. The ball is in his hands so we can see what direction he's going to take it. As far as strength I feel he's getting stronger on his journey just like Luffy. I think he's not far from yonkou level anyway.

That's a good question. Normally in most fiction, Light beats out Darkness, but since Blackbeard is a living black hole, which Light can be absorbed into, it is hard to say.

Well BB can be physically been hit. so a super fast fighter with strong physcally attacks can do that. Luffy is awesome for that. He has to be grabbed by BB but from the distance he can land one powerful hit.

But I have to say a non DF would be a better match up for that

I've been wondering since Ace's death(RIP big guy:cwy:-if he's really dead which I hope so for those chapters+tears not to have been wasted for nothing) if it's possible that Luffy could get caught and sent to Impel Down again instead of getting unconscious and having a timeskip or going apesh*t as most people,me included,thought first.I know it'd be lame for him to get there again since we already saw the place and it got ruined and stuff but still this could be a possibility and Oda-sama would again pwn our minds xD I'd like to hear ur opinion on that one**

I won't believe Ace is dead until the really, really, really, fat lady sings. Someone stated it before but the whole Death of Portgas D. Ace title is really pretentious, it draws too much attention to itself, especially, with the last box saying "Gol D. Ace". I want to wait and see the next few chapters.

I was thinking that too. Something tells me that he does live. However, i still think that Ace is really dead. As things are now, i think it's best for the story… as sad as that is... :sad:

Welll, interesting thing happened during the combination of three arcs
*Luffy lost all his companions
*During Impel Down: he failed to rescue his brother, got poison, and his friend got trap or die at Impel Down.
During Ace execution arc: He failed at saving his brother life and saw the limits of his own strength.
I believe this will truly make Luffy mature. Oda said that this would be his last adventure as a 17 year. And now in the world, you're consider a adult when you reach the age of 18.

i rly like that this is going toa more serious darker tone for the NW (as i predicted many months ago), but still i hope that oda never looses his charme…but i can`t see that happening..it will always have enough gags, and now that also charas can die(not often but well) we have some interesting years before us.
