HLJ sometimes does that after the Early Bird order-by date passes. They wait a while and then resume normal pre-orders. I don't get why…but they do it. The pre-order button should show up again around the date they posted.

Look, HLJ is pretty big. Everyone once in a while gets screwed over a package or order every now and then. Some people have had lost packages that didn't arrive for a while, or damaged packages, and the like. HLJ isn't the only one. I've had a game arrive from Amazon with a damaged case. I was pretty pissed, and complained to them. Nothing happened. 
I've still bought stuff from Amazon after that happened, and pretty much it was a one time fluke.
I'm surprised of these reactions about the unfair HLJ preorder system. It has been always this bad method of working, so it's strange you never lost before an item from them (I lost, for example, a P.O.P. Brooke by HLJ's fault). It's a risk I assume always I order with them, but I still use HLJ for their facilities about paying and ordering/cancelling items. In other sites you have to pay first when you pre-order an item, but at least they guarantee your item (so don't use HLJ for "must have" items). I still have to use Amiami to compare…
Anyways, thanks to this post (and my pp billing agreement with HLJ), I sent yesterday my shipping request for SW Nami and now I recieved an e-mail with payment confirmation. I hope most of you get the same luck as me finally.
I agree that HLJ is definitely not the greatest site to order from… I've never had a major issue with them, just a few small annoying things. Comparing other sites to them I think HobbySearch is a lot better (especially now they also allow shipment via SAL, not just EMS) and I've heard a lot of REALLY good things about the new Amiami english site, though I haven't tried them myself.
If you're sick of getting screwed over by HLJ/scared out of your wits that they're not going to get you the item you wanted I'd suggest ordering with one of these two sites from now on

I'm actually a first-time user of HLJ, so I'm fairly nervous about what's going on here. I'm pretty sharp with checking my emails so hopefully I won't miss out on my two orders, but not being able to combine them because both my purchases are released a month apart is really irksome. Hey, if HLJ helps us save money, that means we have more to spend – on them. Right? lol.
But whatever. We'll see how my first two orders go, and if there really are any major problems I'll easily switch to a different shopping site. Competition yayy.

I asked HLJ YESTERDAY MORNING (this exact time yesterday.) to post out Nami. They said wait till today. This morning. Still no confirmation its been posted out.

And I was ordered it waaaaaaay before the release date.
But that was no biggie if they can't fill my order cos not enough stock.

I totally agree with you on this. Mistakes aside, it isn't called 'pre-order' because the word looks cool. The fact is, to be a reliable seller they'll need to either apologize for their mistakes or change their policies, and at the very least not tell their customers "gtfo, we don't care 'bout saving you money, and we never have, foo' ". Cause that's basically what they're insinuating by failing to let us batch ship with the "we don't hold stuff" excuse.
I really wouldn't mind paying in advance if they'd let me batch ship. Maybe they should just implement that as a new option.

I just pre-ordered the SW Zoro in January so I don't think they go off of how long you had them on pre-order. I'm just happy that I was able to get him and from reading the posts I've learned about how HLJ works. So when I ordered all those Mafia figures on one order I better have a decent amount in my account or I'm getting none of them, lol.

Looks like Zoro comes in a larger package. Nami SAL was about Y980. Then again, Zoro comes with some pretty badass accessories and an extra head.

Ebay is reliable, but it's going to charge me at least 2, if not 3 times as much for shipping as online shops would.

If you can, try what bran-chan did and see if you can get it when it comes out through Kinokuniya. I remember he got a pretty good shipping rate for the other Color Walks. Otherwise, you'll actually have to wait for it to be released next week.

Ugh. I REALLY don't know what to do with my Sanji Neo anymore. He just looks so out of place and I'm not a fan of him anymore so I just basically look at him with contempt.
However my problem is that he has no cigarette nor a box. He's legit and all (got him as soon as they came out.) but I dunno if he'd sell. Of course if Box isn't a problem (and you can live without his cigarette.) I can always put him in Nami Neo box when she arrives.

Actually, no. Besides US, they're actually based in Japan, and have a Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, and Australia home page. Sorry, no European ones. But that's not saying that they couldn't ship to you.
